I was given a prescription of more darvocet and amoxicillin 500mg. well the amoxicillin gave me bad side effects, nausea, vomitting, diarehea. so i stopped taking them. i notified the dentist 10/9/06 of the amoxicillin side effects i was then told i probably didn't need them and not to worry about taking another antibiotic. on 10/10/06 i awoke to find my face on the left side swollen and painful.
Doxycycline is not related to amoxicillin and sulfa drugs as it belongs to a different category of drugs(tetracyclines).Side effects of doxycycline are headache, dizziness, blurred vision, body aches, flu symptoms,skin rashes,chest tightness,respiratory difficulty,nausea,vomiting etc.
I strongly advise you to ask your daughter to stop taking doxycycline so that no life threatening anaphylaxis occurs.
I have had an absess for 3 years now I went through all of the pain in the first year and the swelling and now I have really bad pain some times and a really bad smell all of the time also a lot of my fillings ar chipped off and falling out also I am getting a lot o new cavitys I have also lost my appitite what is going to happen if I don't fix it?
anyone else have side effects AFTER STOPPING augmentin after the full 10 day dose? I have been off for two days and have awful sweating and hot flashes. I am male, and in relatively good shape. bp has been in the 140/70 range for three days. odd stuff. Ive usually had plain ole amoxicillin, but this stuff takes the cake.
s a prescription, it is at a higher dose. The amoxicillin is an antibiotic, as you likely already know.
The most common side effects with either of these is stomach upset or pain. If either occurs, discontinue and consult your doctor.
I also sometimes have a twingey feeling that comes and goes on the right side of my chest sometimes. In general, I just feel a lot more aware of the organs in my chest and neck area.
Does anyone else experience this kind of feeling? Is this common, or is it something I should worry about? In your opininons, will it subside?
Like I said, it is not painful exactly, just a very weird feeling.
I have to go to school and drive many places, and having dizzy spells and nausea concern me. I took amoxicillin this past year with no side effects. No nausea or anything. Does that mean that this antibiotic will possibly be the same way? I take my first dose tonight and I don't want to wake up and take it, only to have to miss school again because I cant get to school due to the dizziness and nausea.
I have severe allergies to the point that I have to take a decongestant regularly. Over trhe past few years I've developed some problems and just now am thinking they may be linked to my constant use of decongestants. Chest pain, headache, cold/numb feet and hands, stinging/pins & needles in both feet, pounding heart, anxiety, irratability, fever and several others but those are the worse.
I took it and had the usual fatigue, dizziness, slower heart rate, muscle aches in my legs. I also had chest pain that went from the center of my chest into both shoulder areas plus I was very short of breath - puffing after walking across the room to answer the phone. I asked the pharmacist if these were normal side effects. He told me to go to the urgent care at the hospital. Got there and they put me in the ER. I was there for a few hours then sent home minus the Verapamil.
drwsiness, back pain, neck and shoulders pain,,,i removed it after the first month, in early november. but until now i feel pain in my ovaries, flushing, chest pain, hot and cold at the same time, back pain, i feel fire inside me, some times numbness in my head and hands, as if my body is too heavy,,,i started having panic attacks, and mood swings...am not sure if it is related to merina, or related to hoermonal changes...am suffering so much ever since.
I used both, and found that side effects are similar; tiredness, weight gain, and a slow pulse. Side effects are more pronounced as the dosage is increased. I had dosages from 25mg to 200mg. daily. Other reported effects are loss of libido, tightness in the chest, itching, irregular breathing, and irregular heartbeat. I hope it is not anything serious. A motn and a half ago I started getting throat tightness/slight pain on the right side (no pain while swallowing). Then the right side of my neck swelled up. Then a few days later, my right ear became full. I went to the doctor and was given amoxicillin for my "ear infection", and this did nothing. Now, both ears are full and the right side of my neck is a little swelled up. I did have some throat pain on the right side when I swallowed liquid...
I have been experiencing pain to the left side of my chest that seems to penetrate through my back. The pain is not real severe, but I know that it is there. I do not seem to have any trouble breathing, & it doesn't hurt to breathe. Could a person have such serious side effects in just a weeks time? Could this be something else going on? How do I tell? If I need to discontinue the ring, then what are my options?

So my LLMD has me on the following medications: Amoxicillin, Clindamycin, and Capadex (for my stomach problems). My dosage of the antibiotics are very high and I will be taking it for about 2 months. He believes I may H pyelori as well as Lymes because of my reoccurring ulcers. I am getting a more sensitive test for h Pyelori as well. I am also taking or about to Amrix for muscle pain. I felt like I was always conscious of my breathing too, which made it feel like it was harder to breathe. Then I started getting chest pain and pain in my left arm, near the elbow, as well as slight numbness in my left hand fingers. These symptoms lasted throughout the night. I was convinced I was having a heart attack, so I went to the health clinic the next morning and they put me on an EKG machine (I think). They stuck patched on my torso and did some reading.
I started buspare two weeks ago 7.5 twice a day and they warned me it takes weeks to take effect but I feel awful on it and improvement at all so far just a worse dizziness and cloud like feeling all the time and no relief for my other symptoms like chest pain, blurryy vision or anything it's all just gotten worse I want to stop it!!!!
