Avatar f tn Amoxicillin + metronidazole may be more effective than amoxicillin alone. After extraction , amoxicillin, metronidazole, Tylenol, and Advil are effective post op pharmacological intervention, which yields minimal post op discomfort.
Avatar n tn If the lesion is lichen planus, parmacotherapy is effective. If the lesion is epithelial dysplasia, surgical intervention is indicated. I feel the latest technology utilized in soft tissue treatment is probably laser. Because laser is still quite expensive, I have'nt used yet. You may google laser to get the latest information.
Avatar m tn I called my OS and he prescribed amoxicillin and I went in on Monday for him to look at it (he barely did, just poked it to see if it would ooze) and he said to continue amoxicillin. It has now been 7 days and the infection has not gone down and I am in pain. I fear that I am going to go back in to see him and he will just prescribe more antibiotics... Do you think I should get a second opinion and that maybe something is lodged in there and needs a debridement or cleaning?
Avatar f tn A friend of mine has a very bad wound on her lower leg. She is in a nursing home where they just decided to treat her wound in a bathtub with A-33 cleaner added to the water. Is this a usual (and/or) acceptable practice for wound care treatment? I thought you were suppose to go to great lenghts to keep A-33 off of your skin. Avatar n tn I have a wisdom tooth that is abscessed. I have 250 mg amoxicillin capsules that are not expired from a previous illness. The RX was for me so I am going to use them. What is the correct dosage for a 41 year old man weighing 210 lbs? thank you.
Avatar f tn Not only does he have head torsion issues but the way you describe his nursing ability I feel he cannot control his suckling reflex nor his muscles surrounding the jaw. This cannot wait until you see if he gets better and he must be seen by a veterinarian immediately. Who prescribed the amoxicillin?
5263096 tn?1374273724 Do any of you watch the TV show on A&E called Intervention? I was watching it for a bit because it's about addiction and I thought it would be educational. Although it's very entertaining and I do like the show I have found it kinda makes me crave pills. I have no idea why because it's not like they glorify addiction by any means on the show. Have any of you watched it and felt that way?
1830012 tn?1336520993 As i watch the show Intervention it so means more now after being sober. I've always wanted the best for those on the show but now i'am screaming to my tv "yes go u *******" no matter what the addiction is. My addiction has been to hydro & even though 4 weeks ago i would of said " it hasn't changed me ( my 8-10 of 10mg a day) i truly didn't know how much it did until now after being sober 25 days.
781991 tn?1237964779 E every Monday night (check your local listings) called Intervention. They show 2 every Monday. Usually an old one and a new one. It sheds light on certain people's addictions. Basically they find someone with an addiction problem. It could be anything.....pills...alcohol....herion...crystal meth...cocaine....eating disorders and I've even seen compulsive gamblers. No matter the addiction, it really hits home and if you've watched it you would know what I mean.
Avatar n tn I am fairly certain that my daughter is using oxycontin, maybe other stuff. I will have her back home next week. This is the plan we and other of the extended family are considering & I'd like your feed back. Have the family members get together with her for an intervention - (cept all I know is what they do on TV), i.e. basically telling her with our arms around her that we all KNOW but only after we have in place a place for her to go for rehab, if she chooses.
Avatar f tn I watched an episode of intervention the other night and the guy was clean from presciption pain pills. He said that the Dr. told him after being on them for awhile, your brain will not communicate with your lungs and you can just stop breathing at anytime, I did not know about this, is it true?
Avatar m tn Anyone watching Intervention on A&E now? You should see it, is about a woman who is addicted to prescribed drugs.
Avatar f tn Help please-- Just found this site----we (family) are going to try to do an intervention tomorrow with a family member. I am afraid of what will happen. She is on Xanax and alcohol. She has alienated her family and is sleeping and drinking her days away. any advice (ASAP) would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn I used to CRY when I would watch intervention, because I knew I needed help so bad! you're not alone on that one, during the last few months of my using I would cry ALL the time to my fiance, and my roomate about how badly I needed help and needed to go to rehab. they were supportive of me quitting, but not leaving to go to rehab. They were afraid that everything would fall apart if I left for even 30 days. you know, bills, house responsibilites, and all that!
Avatar f tn Does any body ever tune in to the A&E show called Intervention? It's a tough show to watch but well worth it....
1401949 tn?1296043724 What my question is is how do you do an intervention?? What is the best method and how do I aproach the subject. I know she has to go on her own, but it is out of control and I am trying to figure out a way to push her possibly over the edge? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and God Bless!
1566633 tn?1295341269 My sister have 5 cats. They were all doing well for the past 5 months. Unfortunately, 3 of them started to show signs of sickness that started last December 2010. I can say that they weren't improving ever since. We haven't done any intervention yet because we thought it they can recover easily. I am starting to get worried and I don't have any idea what causes this. I want to help them but I don't have enough resources to do this.
Avatar n tn Today, because of the fact that my employer referred me to a nursing intervention program, and not to the board, I have my nursing license, working steadily and even passing medications. I truly am a different person today and I thank God for it..best to you all along your way.
Avatar f tn The lack of knowledge of natural birth my obstetricians and nursing staff is widespread. They are trained in intervention and simple things like a slow labor are looked at as negatives that need to be intervened when in truth it's natural for some women to labor for days. I'm just giving an example. It's a sad truth.
Avatar n tn My dictor has always given me amoxicillin 500mg for 3x day for 5 days. Look it up and you will see many pregnant women have taken it and everything is fine.
Avatar f tn t need any special foods or drinks to help. Most women can successfully nurse without intervention. Buy a good nipple cream though.... Don't let those suckers get chapped because that hurts.
Avatar f tn m going with nah. I see a lot of women trying to self induce to avoid medical intervention but often the method they chose is not 'natural' and they still end up needing medical intervention. But each to their own. My dr never recommends it and I don't believe in it but can appreciate that some women feel its right for their body and baby.
Avatar f tn So yesterday I went to the Dr for an ear infection and the Dr said it was pretty bad. He prescribed me amoxicillin 500mg 3 times a day for 10 days. He said it was safe but I am scared. I have called and left a message for my drs assistant. Waiting for a call back. Have any of you had to take this in this dossage?
Avatar n tn can amoxicillin make you have pink bits in your sick due to the capsules being red
290867 tn?1333569278 Does anyone know if amoxicillin is safe to take during pregnancy. I am 19 weeks 2 Days and I am concerned. I went to my primary care physician because I have been having a sore throat and really bad headaches. My ob said there is nothing he can do because its really not pregnancy related and its gotten to the point of unbareable. He said I had a bad viral infection and strep throat. I am just really concerned about taking any meds while im preggo.
