I'm taking amoxicillin and my cheeks are very red, like i'm sunburnt, and very hot. It's only on my cheeks no where else on my face or body. I've been givien this same medicine many times and have never had this reaction, The only other thing I can think about is I was given a corticosteroid shot and nasal spray called Fluticasone. It's not shown as a side effect of the nasal spray, but could it be from one of these other medicines. Should I call my pharmacist or doctor?
I tried a hot shower on it and massaged it. The next day it was purple like bruised. I got some amoxicillin prescribed the next day and took it for 5 days. The purple seemed to go away there is barely a slight discoloration remaining today. I went to my Dr June 14 because the pain seemed to come back. Seems like each day it is going further down my arm. I did not tell him of my testosterone usage. He ordered a series of labs checking wbc t4 tag complete metab and lipid.

Those swabs were done with the Aptima Combo 2 Assay and came back negative. I took azithromycin and rocephin injection as a precaution (before the swab results came back), and am currently taking Augmentin to get rid of the strep. I was feeling fine and healed until yesterday when my throat started to hurt again. I changed my toothbrush about 5 days into the antibiotic treatment and the next day it was hurting again. Is Augmentin good enough to treat this?
