I was prescribed Amoxicillin a couple days ago for strep throat and an ear infection and when I opened the bottle to take it I noticed that it smelled bad. I don't know if it's normal or not so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
t say this happened to you, but one thing you can do is go to your nearest best health food store and buy the best refrigerated multi-spectrum probiotic. You should do this anyway whenever you take an antibiotic to replenish as much as you can of the beneficial organisms that are killed off, and keep taking it for at least a few months following the cessation of your antibiotic regimen.
I'm 24 weeks and I have a bad cold and cough. What medicine was ok for u to take or have u taken while pregnant that will not hurt the baby?????
So yesterday I went to the Dr for an ear infection and the Dr said it was pretty bad. He prescribed me amoxicillin 500mg 3 times a day for 10 days. He said it was safe but I am scared. I have called and left a message for my drs assistant. Waiting for a call back. Have any of you had to take this in this dossage?
ve had a sinus infection for five days and have been on antibiotics (augmentin, or amoxicillin) for 2.5 days (5 doses) already and have seen no improvement. I am in so much pain and am worried about my unborn baby's health. Does anyone have experience with this? Shouldn't the antibiotics be working at least a little by now? I'm halfway through the prescription. I thought when I'd taken antibiotics for things in the past I was cured well before I finished the prescription.
I was tested for strep and mono. Strep came back positive (Strep C) and negative for mono. I was prescribed amoxicillin and was feeling much better on day 3 until I developed a horrible yeast infection. I was then prescribed the one dose of fluconazole and the yeast infection was cleared. My original symptoms were gone so I didn't bother taking the rest of the antibiotic. (I know, my fault).
They put her on amoxicillin for the ear infection. After taking 3 doses of the amoxicillin she broke out in Hives on her hands, legs, and feet. She was taken off the amoxicillin but the rash has now continued for a week now. It will appear and last about 5 minutes and then it is gone. It almost looks like blisters coming up on her feet. I took her to the doctor again today (1 week later) and they told me that she has erytherma multiforme caused from the amoxicillin.
my 1 year old little boy has a really bad nappy rash. is this due to him take amoxicillin? i am worried its an allergy.
is it safe to take amoxicillin while you areabout 13-14 weeks pregnant and if so what are the risks to your baby while you are takeing it ?
It very well could be an allergy to the med you took for the sore throat...the Amoxicillin. Many drugs last a lot longer in our bodies after we have finished taking them, so that has been 2 monhths isn't all that alarming. Benadryl is often used for allergic reactions.

I was told by a doctor I might have a chest infection so she put me on 500mg of amoxicillin three times a day. I'm also on diazepam for muscle spasms and anxiety. I cannot remember is she said it was ok go take them both together.
If ok to take together this will put my mind at rest and stop me panicing.
I have had a sinus infection and bad cold for over a month now....it's the worst feeling ever. My Dr prescribed me amoxicillin for the infection but it didn't fully take care of the symptoms, it is safe to take though! Also on my list of safe meds are sudafed, Claritin and zyrtec. Hopefully one of those will help you ladies out!

So I was in ER 3 nights ago for excruciating pain and tons of face swelling after seeing a dentist whom told me I had a tooth abscess..I was prescribed amoxicillin but that along with all the pain meds was not helping and my swelling became worse..so I went to the emergency room. I started experience very bad chills and high fever upon arriving there so luckily I went.
They sent me to a different hospital for oral surgery and the Dr. Made a drain in my gum and inserted a drainage..
my baby girl had took moxicillin and she was very out of it an her nose was bleeding very bad and that was not one of the side effects so i was very worried about her she was so out of it she walked right into a wall and had a big not on her head that was black an blue on the med. blottle it 1 tablesp. 12 times a day for a 1 year is that right??????
What's the earliest anyone has experienced symptoms? Overall pain (hit by a train), overwhelming fatigue, stiff neck, low grade fever? I was bit 3 times - have 2 rashes.They are all in the same area on my back and I didn't know they were there until my husband saw the rashes and one tick. Dr says it looks like 2 ticks were involved. If so, one got away on its own. I was on doxycycline but had an allergic reaction so I'm now on amoxicillin.
A week or so after the crack is swelled up pretty bad. I went to urgent care and the doctor games me 500mg of penicillin 4 times a day. The penicillin knocked out the swelling in a couple days and everything pretty much went back to normal. Last night the area swelled up again and even my law line started swelling. I could feel a large bump in my gum line which I'm guessing was the infection. I was given 875mg of amoxicillin this time when I went to the doctor.
then a week later my ears begin to hurt. the pain was pretty bad. i thought it would go away on its own but after a week it seemed to be getting worse. so back to the doctor yet again. he again gave a me a shot in the but of antibiotics and then same antibiotic again amoxicillin/clav 875 mg. after a few days the pain lessened but it is still there. know 6 days into the antibiotic i still have some pain althought it is not as bad as it was a week ago.
About 6 weeks ago, I got a sore throat that escalated to bad ear/jaw pain to the right side of my face. It was the worst pain I have ever been in my life. I took tests for both strep throat and mono and they both came back negative. I was prescribed a Z-pack and I threw it up so I was prescribed me Amoxicillin (10 days; 875 mg tablet - 2 times a day) and the pain went away. Two days after I stopped the antibiotics the pain returned.
My dentist prescribed me 500 mg of amoxicillin every 6 hours for a gum infection. It's been a few days now and Ifeel better and I want to resume my workout schedule. Is strenuous exercise contraindicated when taking amoxicillin?Also, is sun exposure a factor, and if so, how long after you complete the round of antibiotics should you wait before you are able to go back out in the sun?
t have insurance and/or the money to go get it checked out. then i got sick with allergies and cold symptoms so my sister took me to carenow where i got doxycycline hyclate 100mg 2x a day for 10 days to clear up my sinus infection. right after i stopped taking the doxycycline i went to the dentist for a bad cavitity on my back tooth and got amoxicillin 500mg 3x a day for 10 days. it is possible that those meds not only cleared up what they were prescribed for but the std as well?
2 year old with ear infection fever and pain. Is allergic to amoxicillin so doctor gave azithromycin for 5 days. Day 6 woke up with reddish crust running out of ear to side of face. How effective is this med for ear info. Drainage ok or should I have her rechecked? No more fever still in pain says bubbles are in there.
I had a baby September the 1st 2014 and just found out I am pregnant already again I am only around 5 weeks and since I had my last baby I have been having to go once a week to the ER for a shot of torodal and stadol n phenorgen for horrible migraines also was taking fiorcets twice daily will the baby be ok? I did not know I was pregnant and will no longer go for the shot unless it gets unbearably bad also I broke my tooth and having horrible pain.
