So I had Strep Throat over the weekend. Seen my doctor and he put me on Amoxicillin. My strep cleared up for the most part (the white crap all over my throat). Throat is still sore and have ulcers in a few places around my mouth. Not to worried about that, what does worry me is now my gums are killing me. I cannot even tough them with a brush. No blood as of yet from them. Is this the last of the infection retreating?
I took him to the emergency room and they said it may be a reaction to a viral infection and prescribed amoxicillian for 10 days...It has been 6 days and still they are bleeding...What is wrong? He is too young for gum disease, right?
I went to the dentist last sunday with an abscess tooth which is going to have to be a root canal started taking amoxicillin mon its now friday and still swollen no sign of abscess subsiding quite painful still planning to go to doctor or dentist tomorrow are there any symptoms i shoud be worried about and maybe go to emergency
He said the x-ray showed no infection in the tooth and no decay. He prescribed me amoxicillin (500 mg, 3x per day for 6 days, and a refill if necessary.
He said if the pain doesn't go away then I might need a root canal or have the tooth pulled anyway.
I'm skeptical and asking for advice here because I had a terrible root canal experience on the other side of my mouth about two months ago and the tooth ended up being pulled after a week of excruciating pain.
Could It really be a HIV infection? Is my Oral Thrush from the Antibiotics I took 2 weeks ago (Amoxicillin 500mg 3 times a day, for a week I admit was strong)?
I still feel nauseated and am going to go see the doctor, about my Oral thrush. It's pretty bad. My sore knees and elbows are freaking me out a bit too.

They gave me a full teeth wash and remove my molar and they gave me a prescription for it. They gave me a pill that i have to take twice each day (i think 12hr each one) for a week. After taking the pills, I still had red gums. I gave them a call and they said that they cant give me more medication because those pills was strong enough to heal it. What should I do now?

There are many risk factors for heart attacks and stroke and gingivitis is one of them. Proper oral hygiene and regular dental visits will reduce your risk. When was your last dental visit?
Teak i asked you abotu oral sex risks and you told there were not any risk at all, but anyway do you know something about the relation between HIV and erythema or periodontitis as a sympthom? if someone is infected does this sympthom take place in the early stage of the infection , say for example one month or two after the exposure, or this kind of sympthoms take place in more advanced stages??thank you so much.
I would say as a dental hygienist at least 90% of my patient have some for of gingivitis or periodontal disease. Gingivitis is classified as any inflammation of the gingiva (gums) redness, bleeding, swollen margins, with little or no bone loss. Gingivitis can be reversed with proper home care and yes by home care I mean flossing. I can not begin to stress enough how important flossing is and how rarely it is done by patients.
You do have gingivitis. You need to go to your dentist for a good cleaning to start with. Then pay careful attention to how thoroughly you actually brush this area. You may gain some gum tissue back, if not, a skin graft can be done to secure the tooth with the recessed gum. You're fortunate that you've caught this on only one tooth, but this is another good reason to see your dentist. You may not be able to see the beginning pockets of gingivitis, but your dentist can.
Which I am sceptical because when I took Amoxicillin it was 1 a day pill for a week and as soon as i took it the bacteria was going away. Now I've taken Clindamycin like 5 times, because it's 1 pill ever 6 hours. There is 28 pills in total. But I don't see the bacteria fading, like the Amoxicillin.
Due to a recent oral sex encounter, I got tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia in the throat. Those swabs were done with the Aptima Combo 2 Assay and came back negative. I took azithromycin and rocephin injection as a precaution (before the swab results came back), and am currently taking Augmentin to get rid of the strep. I was feeling fine and healed until yesterday when my throat started to hurt again.
Does anyone know what symptoms of HIV Gingivitis are and would this come on within the 1st few weeks of infection.
My gum at far top right of mouth hurts to press and open jaw. It doesnt bleed.
My antibody / antigen test was neg @ 35 days.

I have been having painful gums for couple of nights now when i brush my teeth and i really go hard on them thinking it could make it better but i just read somewhere its bad to go hard on your gums while brushing. They tend to bleed too. I was just wondering if it could be gingivitis. I'm also suffering from bad breath for a year now. I'm planning on seeing a dentist in 2 weeks. This is the earliest appointment i could get. Any thoughts on this?
Would 1 gram, 3x daily (3 grams daily) of Amoxicillin for 10 days kill Chlamydia and Gonnorea?
What other conditions might cause a pinching sensation and a slight red discloration at the tip of my penis?
