My 15 month old had a fever of 102 for 3 days. This fever would come down when given Tylenol. She then got better for a couple of days but then lost her appetite. This lasted about 2 days before she started throwing up and having diarhea. The throwing up lasted about 2 days and I took her to the doctor and they said she had a stomach bug and an ear infection. They put her on amoxicillin for the ear infection.
I had fever entire time during first three days. Now I still have fever and sore throat, but two times in the day. It goes away for 8 hours after I take 2 tynenol, 1 mucin and 2 Echinacea and 1 amoxicillin. I get fever and dry cough back and I take the medicine again for another 8 hours relief. Also I'm not able to speak when I take amoxicillin and get very serious head ache.
Also, I took TB skin test and was positive, but chest xray and blood reports were negative.
2 year old with ear infection fever and pain. Is allergic to amoxicillin so doctor gave azithromycin for 5 days. Day 6 woke up with reddish crust running out of ear to side of face. How effective is this med for ear info. Drainage ok or should I have her rechecked? No more fever still in pain says bubbles are in there.
I'm 16, and I recently got put on amoxicillin for a really bad eat infection. When I went to the doctor, he said he saw no problems other than in my left sinuses which he assumed was the problem for my ear ache/runny nose/sore throat, etc. I've been taking nasonex, sudafed, and just today stopped taking my amoxicillin pills.
I have had a sore/dry throat for about 2 months now with few other symptoms. No fever, cough, runny nose etc... I do however have thick or excessive mucus production in the back of my throat. It has not improved or worsened over time.
I saw a doctor virtually a few weeks ago and she noticed that my tonsils had tiny holes in them which she referred to as "cobble-stoning" likely caused by the mucus build up. She prescribed me Amoxicillin which did nothing to help.
My Daughter took amoxicillin for 1 week for an ear infection. She woke up the day after her final dose with a Rash over her entire body. By day three they had turned into big swollen welts. It did not seem to itch or bother her but I took her to the doctor and they said it was just a side effect from the medication and should disapear in 4-5 days. You can always call your OB and ask them if you are not certain. Normally if you tell your MD that you are pregnant they will ensure that they prescribe something that is safe for baby but always check with your OB to be sure.
Was sent to hematology, but clinic only deals with blood cancers, which I do not have. Antibiotics work, Amoxicillin, Bactrim, etc.... but infections always returns.

I was on amoxicillin for a few months for a dental abscess. This was around 7 months ago. Since then, my lower lip on the right side has been swollen. My checks also swell sometimes on the inside. This has been going on and off for around 6 months. The lip swelling goes down but never really goes away completely. The cheek swelling is the same as it comes and goes but is always somewhat puffy and swollen still. No real pain, just annoying.
She is on gatorade, bland diet, and in between this had a sinus infection and took amoxicillin for 10days. Her fever went up to 102.9 is coming down with motrin/tylenol in between. Stool was tested for parasites. I wanted her checked for c-dif but they didn't do that. I could have been exposed to it. So what else do we do or look for and how much longer can she go undiagnosed? Also, antibiotics probably won't be good for her either, correct?

Hurts to pee, frequent urination, and there's blood in it. I took 2 amoxicillin 500 mg capsules. But I'm really in pain. Should I go to ER, or wait till morning and see how I feel?
I had a sore throat in April, and the doctor gave me amoxicillin believing i had strept throat, without swabbing. The antibiotics didn't work until day 7 out of 10, and a few days after i finished the antibitocs it came back. A different doctor prescribed me cefaclor which worked after using it for 1 day. We took him to the doctor and he diagnosed Scarlet fever. He priscribed Amoxicillin for 10 days. He started taking it and 3rd day his fever was gone, rash was gone. I'm 30 yrs old, I initially got sicksick 8 weeks ago (flu). I was sick for 2 weeks & felt normal for 1-2 weeks. He said he didn't think I had an infection because everything looked good but thought there was something underlying to cause the fatigue so he put me on amoxicillin 500mg 3xday.
What was the Amoxicillin for? Was it prescribed for something else? I WOULDN'T recommend taking this unless you were prescribed this for what is GOING ON NOW. Plus, sounds like this is viral, therefore, antibiotics would not work.
Keep taking the Tylenol AS DIRECTED. How many doses of Tyenol have you taken already? You can go up to 4000mg/24 hours. You can also try Motrin/Ibuprofen.
Please consult a physician if this has lasted for more than 3 days/72 hours.
Urgent Care PA detected murmur. No fever after nine days. Amoxicillin for ten days. Nine years ago I had bacterial endocarditis from dentist, left me in wheelchair, amnesia and OIC. So I was in ER 3 nights ago for excruciating pain and tons of face swelling after seeing a dentist whom told me I had a tooth abscess..I was prescribed amoxicillin but that along with all the pain meds was not helping and my swelling became worse..so I went to the emergency room. I started experience very bad chills and high fever upon arriving there so luckily I went.
They sent me to a different hospital for oral surgery and the Dr. Made a drain in my gum and inserted a drainage..

The Dr did a blood test and called to say the white blood cell count is low which could be due to the virus or amoxicillin. His muscle enzyme test came back elevated at 6000.
