Ok so we just added two adorable ferrets to our family I know we can't clean a cat's litter box during pregnancy but I was just thinking is it the same with ferrets my husband has been doing it but I would like to help if there is no danger to the baby any advice would be helpful thank you mommies

As for bite training, same thing you would do for a ferret kit. Buy Ferrets for Dummies 2nd Edition, its a great resource and an entire chapter devoted to biters and nip training that is very helpful. Also, try using a stuffed animal to play with to avoid the bites! Those teeth can hit straight to the bone, can also break raw chicken bones, so yes, they can do some damage but they are good!

I have 4 ferrets and I am not worried about them in the least. They will still get dedicated play time when the baby comes and honestly they probably won't even know the baby exists. Mine have their own room in my house, so its easy to just let out and play. So we had our degu in a ball when the ferrets were running around, and a couple hours later our degu somehow got out of his ball and the ferret cornered him and bit him on top of the head, behind the ear, its been almost 3 days now, he does want to run but is stuck turning to the right, he has been eating somedays, and somedays he has not. Nothing is safe until you speak with your Dr! What may be safe for one pregnancy may not be safe for another. However, if its been prescribed by your Dr. I'm sure its fine.
