amoxicillin and uti

I have a tooth that needs a root canal and my face swelled up at 6 weeks I used amoxicillin and haven't had any problems!

Later that month I got a tonsil infection (something that happens frequently to me) and I went to a different doctor to get antibiotics for it. I mentioned the ongoing UTI to her and she prescribed me Amoxicillin with Potassium. She said it should kill two birds with one stone. Is it absolutley necessary to take antibiotics or can I forgo it? My aunt had UTI 30 years back during her pregnancy and she said she never took any antibiotics. And she had healthy kids..

My doctor diagnose me with UTI and was advised to take antibiotic (amoxicillin) though she advised that this is the safest for pregnant mum, I'm kinda hesitant to take it. Do u mum's experience anything of this? What can you advised me to to get rid of my UTI? Thanks!

I was wondering if these two things were correlated with each other. I thought the amoxicillin might have given me a uti. Is that even possible?

I took amoxicillin for a UTI in the beginning of my pregnancy. As long as your doctor is okay with it and prescribes it for you, you should be fine.

I wouldn't take it I would call my Dr and get in their as soon as possible.

I went to the doctor today to get checked for possible uti. Terns out I do have a uti.. I am only 6 weeks and 4 days.. the doctor gave me a prescription for amoxicillin. It's it safe to take it?

I am 16 weeks 4 days, last friday my doctor called about my labs and said I had a UTI. She called in antibiotics... Amoxicillin 500mg to be taken 3 times a day. Now I have noticed that I am very sore down there, and somewhat itchy. Im thinking I may have gotten a yeast infection from the antibiotics. What is safe to use?

I was on amoxicillin for a UTI, how long should I be off of the antibiotic before getting another culture? Amoxicillin has a 60 minute half life, very short. Could you go the next day to get a urine culture?

Hi. I had uti about a week ago I took amoxicillin that I had left over from a tooth being pulled. I'm pretty sure the uti went away. I don't have burning or urge to pee but my back is begging to hurt. I don't have chills or fever. Everyone in my house has some type of bug. I have a stomachache. So they prescribed me amoxicillin on Tuesday. I was on it once before during my pregnancy early on for a UTI but I had extreme morning sickness and don't remember specifics of how I felt when I was on it. Mine were also because of uti in my first trimester. Caught it early and cleared up in a week with doc prescribed amoxicillin and LOTS of water. Definitely ask doc. Good luck!

I took 1500mg of Clarithromycin ER, and 1875mg of Amoxicillin that night. The following morning took another 1gm of the Niacin ER & 1375mg of Amoxicillin.

In other words, a negative urine test result following amoxicillin is reliable evidence you didn't have either infection at the time of the test. s seen at her primary care and they took a urine culture and told us it was a UTI and prescribed amoxicillin for 1 week.. during the week she was on amoxicillin her abdominal pain faded away and the discharge stoped but she had already had an awful upper respitory infection and due to a sore throat and weird rash on face we were in the ER the following night where she tested positive for strep and had another urine culture done.

I took two rounds of macrobid a 10day and a 7 day. Neither worked for me and I had to get a shot of rocephin. i have no clue if it can effect hcg levels or not.

s why they made me go to the ER and gave me fluid checked my blood and then have me Benadryl and amoxicillin. It sucked and the next day I got it worse but since I been taking the antibiotics I've been feeling much better.
