However I recently had a sinus infection and took Amoxicillin for 7 days. Here it is, 2 weeks after stopping the Amoxicillin, I am having severe heartburn again. Did the antibiotic have anything to do with this?
So I had Strep Throat over the weekend. Seen my doctor and he put me on Amoxicillin. My strep cleared up for the most part (the white crap all over my throat). Throat is still sore and have ulcers in a few places around my mouth. Not to worried about that, what does worry me is now my gums are killing me. I cannot even tough them with a brush. No blood as of yet from them. Is this the last of the infection retreating?

My question is about stomach tenderness. Is a tender stomach normal with a peptic ulcer? My entire stomach area, from just below my breasts, down to my navel, is very tender to the touch. When touched it produces like a burning/stinging/bruised feeling. Depending on the day, or time of the day, the pain is greater or less.
They all are regulars circle and didn’t start with a blister as traditional hs2, and it’s not like traditional one sore Syphilis, however the ulcers are circular in pattern and painless for the most part. They aren’t irregular like a chancroid, also they are ozing pus. I did some research and saw that for the chancriod and Syphilis can be treated with azithromycin and syphilis can be treated with 2g single dose of azithromycin taken early on. I went ahead and took 3g to make sure.
These are just symptoms added to my daily BD symptoms of joint, connective tissue inflammation, various GI symptoms, extreme fatigue, memory and coordination difficulties, night sweats, ulcers, headaches and low grade fevers. My question is, my BD is getting worse does that mean the meds are no longer effective? I have been told that there is not much else to use treating my symptoms. Please help.
prescribed the triple therapy which consists of Lanzoprazole 30 mg, Amoxicillin 500 mg and clarithromycin 500 mg. The problem is that she told me to take only one pill of amoxicillin (500mg) every 12 hours but it was supposed to be two pills (1g) according to FDA and other resources. I am very concerned because I know that this bacteria becomes resistant to antibiotics. What should I do?, How long do I wait before I take another test to see if the bacteria is gone or not?

Today I took my 15 month old son to one of his regular checkups. His doctor had noticed some fluid in his left ear and said he had a small infection. I told her he had a cold and some congestion but I didn't know about his ear. She prescribed him Amoxicillin for his ear and told me something about the dosage. My mom was recently diagnosed with Hep C associated cirrhosis. She has had some complications, including esophageal varices and ascites. She remains fairly well compensated and does not exhibit symptoms such as fatigue or confusion.
During an endoscopy her doctor also noticed an ulcer and tested her for H pylori (which was positive). He's prescribed Prevpac to kill the bacteria and heal the ulcer.
If I suspect Mono, and took a 3 day course of Amoxicillin (10 pills) and developed no rash, can I pretty much rule out mono?
Some sources state 80-90% of those taking Amoxicillin with Mono develop the rash, while I've even seen 99% as a percentage.
I actually want it to be Mono, instead of something worse, but I'm starting to fear the worst.
Have any of you had Mono, been misdiagnosed with Strep and took Amoxicillin, and NOT get the rash?
Then I came down with Cold, cough and throat pain. I went with my Dr. and he felt some swollen lymph nodes in neck. After almost over 8 weeks my thorat is still not healed and I found new Blisters and some swelling in my mouth. There are some pimple like rash in my neck but they healed after four days.

First off, you shouldn't even medicate yourself for you may not know whether or not you actually contracted a std. You don't know if you are treating for the right std too. There has to be a certain measure of medication and type of medicine in order to help you get better if you happen to have a std. Second, unprotected oral is low risk but certainly not a no risk situation. You may get gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, herpes. HIV has not been known to be contracted through oral sex.
Today, nine days after beginning to feel sick, I visited my doctor and was prescribed Amoxicillin 875mg tabs to be taken twice a day for the next ten days. My doctor believes I have a sinus infection, hence the Amoxicillin prescription. I did not mention my unsafe sexual encounter to my doctor and I am not having any outward symptoms of any kind of STD.

I developed fever on the 29th day, about 38.5 C, my doctor diagnosed it as Lower respiratory tract infection, put me on antibiotics (Amoxicillin) for 5 days, along with paracetamol and a cough syrup. I had dry cough.

I have taken nystatin, fungilin lozenges, oral-base, amoxicillin, dactarin, corsodyl, pennicillin, salt water, another green mouthwash (cant remember the name of it), corlan pellets (hydrocortisone) and the list goes on but it just gets more aggresive. I am now 25 and have been suffering almost constantly since I was 21. I am definetly aware that this is weakening my immune system but I don't know what to do as these doctors keep ignoring this condition. I am begging you PLEASE HELP ME!!!
I am trying to get my daughter to take Amoxicillin for a throat infection. She won't swallow the capsule. Is it ok to break the pink and blue A45 Amoxicillin capsule in half and mix it in applesauce?
This sounds like it has 100% to do with the Amoxicillin, and not Mono combined with Amoxicillin and so forth.
Amoxicillin can cause joint pain although this is not a common side effect, but can occur and should NOT be permanent, but temporary.
If this hasn't subsided, this definitely needs to be further investigated by your physician.

Antibiotics tend to increase the occurrence of thrush and having taken both biaxin and amoxicillin would put you at high risk for getting thrush.
Your 4 week test would have been expected to have detected at least 85-90% of infections acquired 4 weeks early and is strong evidence that you do not have HIV. Your 6 week test, which I anticipate will be negative, would detect over 95% of HIV infections acquired 6 weeks earlier.

I typically take 2 grams of amoxicillin before all dental procedures (and some medical ones, too) due to Mitral Valve Prolapse with regurgition and a PFO in the heart.
I am currently taking a round of amoxicillin for another problem (strep throat, 2 pills twice a day for 10 days.) These will be finished on this Friday.
I postponed my regularly scheduled teeth cleaning/check-up, because it was only a few weeks away. I re-scheduled it for one month from the end of this amoxicillin treatment.
