Ovulation lasts only 24 to 48 hours max, but sperm can live up to a week leading up to that. That window of the week prior to ovulation and ovulation days is the most fertile time and when 98% of women get pregnant. I don't know where you are at in your cycle to help you know if it was a more fertile time for you. But do you know when your period is due? If so, you can count back. My husband ran a fever the day before my ovulation. And he took fever and cold and cough medicine. I have been coughing a week before ovulation and still coughing now. I have taking amoxicillin and cough medicine until 1 week after ovulation. I didn't expect I will get pregnant. Now, I'm worry about my husband's sperm quality, and my egg quality. If I suspect Mono, and took a 3 day course of Amoxicillin (10 pills) and developed no rash, can I pretty much rule out mono?
Some sources state 80-90% of those taking Amoxicillin with Mono develop the rash, while I've even seen 99% as a percentage.
I actually want it to be Mono, instead of something worse, but I'm starting to fear the worst.
Have any of you had Mono, been misdiagnosed with Strep and took Amoxicillin, and NOT get the rash?
Today, nine days after beginning to feel sick, I visited my doctor and was prescribed Amoxicillin 875mg tabs to be taken twice a day for the next ten days. My doctor believes I have a sinus infection, hence the Amoxicillin prescription. I did not mention my unsafe sexual encounter to my doctor and I am not having any outward symptoms of any kind of STD.
My question is, can you tell me what if any STD the Amoxicillin would cure if I did contract one from my friend?

This sounds like it has 100% to do with the Amoxicillin, and not Mono combined with Amoxicillin and so forth.
Amoxicillin can cause joint pain although this is not a common side effect, but can occur and should NOT be permanent, but temporary.
If this hasn't subsided, this definitely needs to be further investigated by your physician.

I had sinus infection and got Amoxicillin for it. Had diarrhea, then a rash all over stomach, back, thighs, then yeast infection. I stopped taking the Amoxicillin and the doctor told my husband I was allergic to Penicillin.

I'm taking amoxicillin and my cheeks are very red, like i'm sunburnt, and very hot. It's only on my cheeks no where else on my face or body. I've been givien this same medicine many times and have never had this reaction, The only other thing I can think about is I was given a corticosteroid shot and nasal spray called Fluticasone. It's not shown as a side effect of the nasal spray, but could it be from one of these other medicines. Should I call my pharmacist or doctor?
So yesterday I went to the Dr for an ear infection and the Dr said it was pretty bad. He prescribed me amoxicillin 500mg 3 times a day for 10 days. He said it was safe but I am scared. can amoxicillin cause green poop my son is 7 months and has been taking it for 2 days,now his poo is dark green and soft but he hasnt really eaten much either so i dont know if its the medicine of the lack of food.
