I worked as an attendant, for people confined to wheel-chairs, and many of them had bed sores, or and MRSA. I wore gloves, and washed and washed myhands after work, but I did finally end up getting a rly painful sore right inside my nostril, that didn't reapond to amoxicillin, or prescription antibiotic cream, I had to take a high-powered antibiotic, and after that, I did change jobs. My advice would be careful to never pick your nose, because staph lives on finger-tips.
I had tubes placed in March of 2016 which did nothing. Fast forward to New years eve and I had another one. I went to the doctor who prescribed amoxicillin. This did nothing so I went back to the doctor and she took a sample of the fluid, it was positive for MRSA. She prescribed Bactrum which helped a lot and I was hopeful it was over. I finished the bactrum a week ago and yesterday the infection was back with vengeance. I swear it hurts more then labor.
We had a child that had an ear infection and was perscribed Amoxicillin....A few days later, my older daughter got an ear infection, my husband gave her 2 to 3 doses of the other child's perscription...I am more concerned about the older child since the first child only missed a couple doses...Is the older child at risk for something..is she less immune to amoxicillin now since she only took 2-3 doses and then stopped?
The Description you gave of your Throat w/ the White Streaks, along w/ the Symptoms of Fatigue & feeling run down, as well as having a Loss of Appetite Sounds like Strep Throat or Mono, but did you have a Sore Throat or Fever at any point?? Taking Antibiotics, like Penicillin/Amoxicillin would've Helped if it was Strep, & IF it was Strep w/in 24hrs of starting Antibiotics you're no longer Confessors. I actually just learned all about Strep, bc about 1.
I have tried all sought of antibiotics, antifungle topical and oral from amoxicillin/clavulenic acid to cefalosporines, clotrimazole, irtaconazole to Rifampicinand metronidazole.nothing helps.Boils might heal with them just to recurre.I have tried getting culture done og pus, showing E.coli and candida at two different times.I also have vaginal candidiasis.please help.
I have had 1 culture of the pustule done in India which showed that the organism was staphylococcus.(No MRSA screen done with it).My current folliculitis is worse and it seems to get worse and it seems to recur very often after a very short period of relief .(it seems to recur within 3-4 days of stopping antibiotics).So I have no option than to continue the antibiotics. I am currently using oxytetracycline antibiotic.
He has 2 boys from his previous marriage. The youngest has a lot of skin issues and has contracted MRSA. Since meeting my husband, we have all had bouts with boils caused by MRSA. We've tried just about everything.. and we really just deal with them now. Get on antibiotics, put the mupirocin in the nose, etc. I had a couple boils over a year ago.. then didn't have anymore for probably 10 months.. then here in the past 3 months..
I have had surgeries yearly since 2004. I had complications with my bariatric surgery and ended up with MRSA. I have had my gall bladder removed, abdominalplasty, and a c section. I am scheduled for a inner thigh lift next week. I haven't given it much thought about the dangers and my history of MRSA until co workers starting vocalizing their concern about my healthy and quite frankly dying. My surgeon is well aware of my history of MRSA and complications of surgeries.
I have MRSA (found through colonization of urine due to UTI). I have had chronic UTI's for years now and my dr just treats them with antibiotics everytime and does an ultrasound to make sure nothing serious going on in there like cancer or kidney disease. I do not have a skin infection....I am experiencing UTI symptoms, fatigue, my whole body is very sore and achy especially my neck and shoulders and lower back. Have been through 2 weeks of Bactrim DS and three days after I finished meds..
If I suspect Mono, and took a 3 day course of Amoxicillin (10 pills) and developed no rash, can I pretty much rule out mono?
Some sources state 80-90% of those taking Amoxicillin with Mono develop the rash, while I've even seen 99% as a percentage.
I actually want it to be Mono, instead of something worse, but I'm starting to fear the worst.
Have any of you had Mono, been misdiagnosed with Strep and took Amoxicillin, and NOT get the rash?
I have been diagnosed with MRSA and been treated three times rounds of Bactrim. I currently have an outbreak of the MRSA sores I need to pick up another round of Bactrim and now on the inside of my two index fingers the skin is peeling like a blister was there and then popped. The raw skin beneath hurts like a blister was there, however, there were no blisters on my fingers. Is this related to the MRSA?

m afraid I agree with the Doctors on this. MRSA is a bacteria which lives mainly on the skin and in the nose in around 30% of the UK population alone. It is normally harmless because it can't get through the skin unless you cut yourself and even then your immune system would have to be weak to not fight it off. So, out of hospital, people are less likely to be affected than those patients in hospital with open wounds and weakened immune systems. MRSA would make them very ill indeed.
Today, nine days after beginning to feel sick, I visited my doctor and was prescribed Amoxicillin 875mg tabs to be taken twice a day for the next ten days. My doctor believes I have a sinus infection, hence the Amoxicillin prescription. I did not mention my unsafe sexual encounter to my doctor and I am not having any outward symptoms of any kind of STD.
My question is, can you tell me what if any STD the Amoxicillin would cure if I did contract one from my friend?
doctors are trying to diagnose and treat the symptoms of lupus, with a positive ANA test, swelling that only response to high doses of steriods and those cause horrible side effects. I hurt all over all the time, sometimes so bad I can only get relief when I'm asleep. have fine tremors and memory issues, my entire body is swollen, I'm taking so many medications to lower this overactive immune system that now the doctors warn me about being around sick people.

Im a 25 year old male. I was dealing with a female and on our third time we had unprotected sex. I was drinking that night and it was rough. I kinda knew I was hurting my penis but I was still trying to hit it hard,I have been drinking. I wash myself off at her house and went home. So the next day I got up I felt a funny feeling in my penis. It was like and itching feeling under my shaft. So I kind of scratch at it and took a shower.
Eight days ago I woke up with an abscess on my leg in the groin area, opposite of my testicles. My wife and I promptly went to the doctor and it turned out to be a mrsa infection. The sore was drained of puss and I have been antibiotics taking them on time and will continue to take them on time until they are gone.
My question is: what should we do so that we can continue to have sex without transferring the bacteria to my wife?
I am trying to get my daughter to take Amoxicillin for a throat infection. She won't swallow the capsule. Is it ok to break the pink and blue A45 Amoxicillin capsule in half and mix it in applesauce?
This sounds like it has 100% to do with the Amoxicillin, and not Mono combined with Amoxicillin and so forth.
Amoxicillin can cause joint pain although this is not a common side effect, but can occur and should NOT be permanent, but temporary.
If this hasn't subsided, this definitely needs to be further investigated by your physician.

i have never had a fever or cold sore or the hsv2 fluid filled blisters. anyway, the dr. called me 1 wk later and said i have mrsa and put me on antibiotics. now i am totally confused. i truly do not believe deep in my heart that i have hsv2. i have been married for 22 yrs. my husband, who has not been tested, said he does not have hsv2. i have only had sex with him 1 time in the last 6 months.
I honestly would talk to your father's physician and surgeon about this and get their opinion. MRSA is definitely nothing to mess around with and neither is bypass surgery, so making the most informed decision you can is of utmost importance.
I would suggest, however, that if the decision is made to go ahead with surgery, that, if at all possible, they give your father at least a few days of IV antibiotics before the surgery to help reduce any risk.
