the amoxicillin will be fine and as long as its like mine and only has the nasal decongestent you should be fine but check the lable on your sudefed make sure it does not contain acetaminophen or asprin because those should both be in your excdrin so if there is asprin or acetaminophen in your sudefed then you can not take your excedrine but if there is not you sure can
I have been taking some antibiotics that I had at home Amoxicillin 500mg two twice a day. I have also been taking ibuprofen 500mg every 4 to 6 hours with no relief. Jaw is sore and chin. What else can I do? Trying to get in to see dentist as I type.
Assuming it was a sinus infection, they prescribed amoxicillin, and that took care of the symptoms in under a week. About two weeks after being off of the amoxicillin, the symptoms began to return. I went back to the doctor and the prescribed some different antibiotic, which again, worked fine. Yet again, a few weeks after being done with that antibiotic, the symptoms returned. I opted to not use antibiotics to see if it would go away on its own, and it did after nearly a month.
If I suspect Mono, and took a 3 day course of Amoxicillin (10 pills) and developed no rash, can I pretty much rule out mono?
Some sources state 80-90% of those taking Amoxicillin with Mono develop the rash, while I've even seen 99% as a percentage.
I actually want it to be Mono, instead of something worse, but I'm starting to fear the worst.
Have any of you had Mono, been misdiagnosed with Strep and took Amoxicillin, and NOT get the rash?
I had a sore throat in April, and the doctor gave me amoxicillin believing i had strept throat, without swabbing. The antibiotics didn't work until day 7 out of 10, and a few days after i finished the antibitocs it came back. A different doctor prescribed me cefaclor which worked after using it for 1 day. When I finished the prescription, a day after i had a sore throat.
i keep going to the doctors and they just keep perscribing me antibiotics.. so much so that i have a tollerence to amoxicillin.. when i take the antibiotocs they seem to work for a while then no longer after ive stopped taking them the infection comes back.. im at the end of my teather with this and finding it hard to understand why they keep reacurring.. i dont go swimming.. i dont even put my head under the water when i bathe..
A winter storm blew in bringing extremely low temps. Between work & errands I have been in & out during the cold snap. Saturday I developed pain inside my ear. It hurts when I move my jaw, yawn etc.. I am taking acetaminophen. I get grief relief but then it's back to throbbing pain again. I cannot sleep on my right side because of the pain. Their is no drainage & I have had no fever. Could it be an ear infection, possibly just a blockage of fluid?
Today, nine days after beginning to feel sick, I visited my doctor and was prescribed Amoxicillin 875mg tabs to be taken twice a day for the next ten days. My doctor believes I have a sinus infection, hence the Amoxicillin prescription. I did not mention my unsafe sexual encounter to my doctor and I am not having any outward symptoms of any kind of STD.
My question is, can you tell me what if any STD the Amoxicillin would cure if I did contract one from my friend?

Is this the sane as tylenol It says pain relief and under it says acetaminophen? It this okay to take for a headache!?
I went to a doctor and he diagnosed me with strep throat or a viral infection. I took some Advil and one amoxicillin per day and the symptoms seem to be gone. But today, my nose suddenly bled and the tingling feeling in my nose is back.
To ease ear pain, apply a warm washcloth or a heating pad set on low. Follow the instructions for ear drops and complete your antibiotic course. You can use OTC Acetaminophen also for relief from pain. And Good Luck with your surgery.

I am trying to get my daughter to take Amoxicillin for a throat infection. She won't swallow the capsule. Is it ok to break the pink and blue A45 Amoxicillin capsule in half and mix it in applesauce?
This sounds like it has 100% to do with the Amoxicillin, and not Mono combined with Amoxicillin and so forth.
Amoxicillin can cause joint pain although this is not a common side effect, but can occur and should NOT be permanent, but temporary.
If this hasn't subsided, this definitely needs to be further investigated by your physician.

Taking ibuprofen 200-400mg and acetaminophen together and around the clock, every 6 hour can yield maximal pain killing effect. s never a good idea to mix any medications, including over the counter meds, with alcohol - and especially any meds with acetaminophen (the active ingredient in paracetamol or tylenol). This can increase the risk for liver damage.
However, if this was a one time happening, I would say your chances of developing any problems from this one time event would be very low.
Dont anyone count on liver regeneration to get past an acute overdose of acetaminophen. The damage is permanet and irreversible. The liver is an amazing organ and can do a lot for itself.- - - buit it cannot survive a serious misuse of acetaminophen. I have been a hepatic patient at the Mayo Clinic for 13 years and I have had a lot of time to look at this one. Acetaminophen overdose is the most common form of suicide in the Uk ........ dont try and take a chance.
I typically take 2 grams of amoxicillin before all dental procedures (and some medical ones, too) due to Mitral Valve Prolapse with regurgition and a PFO in the heart.
I am currently taking a round of amoxicillin for another problem (strep throat, 2 pills twice a day for 10 days.) These will be finished on this Friday.
I postponed my regularly scheduled teeth cleaning/check-up, because it was only a few weeks away. I re-scheduled it for one month from the end of this amoxicillin treatment.
So, if Im taking anywhere from 40-80 mg of hydrocodone and roughly 1500-4000 mg of acetaminophen a day and I begin the isoniazid treatment am I risking serious health problems? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
However I recently had a sinus infection and took Amoxicillin for 7 days. Here it is, 2 weeks after stopping the Amoxicillin, I am having severe heartburn again. Did the antibiotic have anything to do with this?
