Allegra with mucinex

Common Questions and Answers about Allegra with mucinex

allegra

Avatar f tn ve never had a fever or headache with any of this. I have started to take my allegra again and today I started coughing up a little mucous again and my nose is running again. Can someone please tell me if there's an order I need to take these meds in or suggest anything I could do? I also need.
Avatar f tn I have really bad allergies and can usually get away with just Zyrtec but this year they are way worse and my doc told me to switch it up and try Claritin or Allegra the Allegra seems to work the best when I also take a sudafed but don't take the combo one just plan Allegra and plain sudafed.
Avatar f tn Every time I go to the doctor, I get prescribed antibiotics which don't help. It comes right back soon after or doesn't go away in the first place. Or I get prescribed mucinex, which makes me irritable, unable to sleep properly, and have horrific nightmares or allegra, which gives me hives. I have tried everything possible over the counter, but nothing works. My left ear is stopped up too now as well. I have used the neti pots and sinus rinses too.
633143 tn?1262133535 My next step is to go back to the doctor, but they just keep telling me to keep up with the Mucinex. I’m not getting any help from them. Any suggestions? I’m thinking maybe an allergist. Advice would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar m tn I'm a 21 year old male. Four weeks ago, I came down with what seemed to be a cold. I experienced congestion, cough, and laryngitis a day or two after exposure to large amounts of hay and agricultural lime. Taking this into consideration, I'm a bit skeptical as to whether or not it was a cold or just an alergic reaction. The symptoms have drastically decreased.
Avatar f tn Any mucinex meds will help and start taking Allegra it's a allergy medicine. My dr told me to take these I been sick for about a month and I'm 37 weeks. Drink plenty of fluid also, like orange juice and water, hot tea honey and lemon might help you also. Your Sore Throat You Can Use That Spray For Your Throat OR Cough drops.
1663704 tn?1302912377 I have had fluid behind my eardrum since September 2010. My physician looked and saw fluid behind my eardrum and said it's caused from allergies or sinuses. I do have allergies and postnasal drainage. I was prescribed Flonase for 30 days, which didn't work, then prescribed a 7 day steroid medication, this didn't help either. I have tried Allegra D, Mucinex D, Mucinex, Sudafed, Sudafed PE, Afrin, etc. I am currently trying Zyrtec.
Avatar n tn I can not breathe out of my nose and when i can its only out of one nostril, and sometimes it switches, well i have tryed everything, all the sprays, pills like zyrtec, allegra, claritan, back in september i went to an ent specialist, he said i had a deviated septum, so i had the surgery, well its februaary now and i still cannot breathe, I even tried a neti pot, i do not know what to do, in my nose theres like nothing there no mucous or anything like that, but most of the time it is breathing
Avatar m tn I always do double the fluid intake with my kids as that keeps the mucus thinned out. there is an over the counter med called mucinex. Our doctor (and now me as well) swears by this, It is an expectorant which means that it also keeps the mucus moving. A sinus infection develops because the 'gunk' gets thick and just sits and festers becoming full of bacteria. We get the 'mini melts' in bubble gum flavor of the mucinex and both my boys will take this.
Avatar f tn I would sit tight till they open. These are such new drugs and only your Dr can give you the green light. You don't want to risk SVR unless you know for sure. .....
Avatar m tn Can allergies cause swollen throat, tight chest, shortness of breath ?? Each morning I wake up, I start to hack up mucus all day long, my throat feels really harsh like sand paper friction when I swallow, throat is swollen, tight chest, shortness of breath and feel as if I have a noose around my neck from muscle stiffness, and my nostrils are always swollen.
Avatar n tn He has done quite well with Allegra for seasonal allergies, and even better with Zyrtec. Zyrtec is OTC but allegra is not. Both are well tolerated with Risperdal. Benaadryl is not good with Risperdal. My son, age 17, is zonked out when he takes both. He basically is out like a light and doesn't wake up in the morning (until about 12 hours later) the few times he has taken it. Not good at all. Claritin does not work for him either, nor anyone in my family.
Avatar f tn No mucinex is a medicine ingredient it help with producing ewcm which we get during ovulation, remember there is only a 25% chance every month of concieveing its all about timeing,if your timing you ovulation by tests ideally charting,it will happen.
1626928 tn?1378850167 I recently read that someone is taking mucinex along with trying to get pregnant...does that work with conceiving?
Avatar f tn Does Mucinex help thin your cervical mucus like the Robitussin is supposed to. Its active ingredient is guaifsen (sp?).
Avatar f tn I am 30 weeks pregnant, would it be safe to use maximum strength mucinex fast max severe congestion &cough? I called my doctor while I was in the store looking &the nurse said mucinex is fine to take but then I read online it's very dangerous &I have already taken 2 doses :/ so worried right now just wondering if anyone else knows for sure.
1798025 tn?1333814468 ve come across several women who took Mucinex or Robitussin to help thin out their cervical mucus. I was wondering if anyone has really tried that and if so, was it successful? Please give as much details as possible so that I can get a better understanding of how that works with the process of TTC. Thank you!
Avatar n tn I have multiple issues...oxygen dependent due to pulmonary fibrosis after chronic hypersensitivity pneumonitis. I'm on Advair 500/50, Singulair, Allegra, Mucinex and have been stable for over a year. I also have a history of seasonal allergies (life long) and adult onset asthma. Two weeks ago some respiriatory infection set in: don't know if it was a virus intially--it felt that way--scratchy throat, tender glands, ears plugged.
Avatar f tn Hi! My daughter (28) is pregnant with her first child due this August. Her OB and PCP told her that taking her clarinex was OK. She is miserable without it and right now has a wicked cold. I have been reading now that clarinex is OK to take and other sites saying it is not OK. She is 21 weeks right now. Why would they say it is OK if it isn't? Thanks for any info.
Avatar m tn Well I have had Hashimoto for the past 10 years, and I also have had allergy problems and have taken Allegra D for the past 4 years. I don't think allegra had anything to do with my hashimoto/hypothyroid.
Avatar f tn nasonex, afrin, mucinex-d, claritin, allegra, zyrtec, flonase, etc. Another ENT thought it was acid reflux. I tried: prilosec for 14 days, nexium for 3 days (I had too many side effects from nexium so I discontinued it). I had no symptoms of acid reflux so I felt there was no point to take these meds, but I tried anyway with no success. I got a CT scan and they found there was a cyst in my left maxillary sinus and mucus thickening in the ethmoid on the same side.
Avatar f tn I have so much mucus back up in me right now Ifind myself always blowing my nose or spitting it up, but weird part is I don't have a cold. Has anyone here taken mucinex I saw that pregnant women can take this but I'm skeptical!! Help!!
7612493 tn?1393737078 Is regular mucinex okay? I'm a little over 8wks. I just wanted to make sure because I know some stuff isn't okay in the first trimester.
