allegra

Avatar f tn I have had puffy, swollen eyelids for months-ever since the day after my gallbladder surgery months ago. I have tried to go weeks without makeup (it only got worse), I've cut out all sorts of foods in case it was an allergy, I'm taking allergy medication (Reactin, Allegra) and started also trying Benedryl. I've changed my detergent for laundry, soaps, hair products-everything.

Avatar f tn My younger sister has been battling atopic dermatitis, an eczema condition since she was 8-9 years old. Although her rashes have come and gone here and there, it usually got better over time. However, she recently rescued a chick from the street and spent many hours in the backyard digging for worms. A day or two after, she broke out with red bumps filled with pus all over her body. Here is a photo of her legs/arm/back. http://image87.webshots.com/187/2/75/70/2211275700050097975pugQpW_fs.
Avatar n tn Have you been tested for Dermographism? Does your skin itch and blister or break out if you don't take your allegra for 1 to 3 days? Do scratches stay for long periods of time or leave scars? Have your doctor do the skin writing disease test. I always wondered why I could remove everything from my diet and didnt use perfumes and still get acne and nothing took it away. That was why.
7639611 tn?1392877261 I am a 27-year-old woman and this is my first winter in Colorado, I moved here from New York. I have a long history of asthma and allergies, particularly to pollen, dust mites, and pet dander. My asthma is controlled with Flovent. In the past, I haven't even needed Flovent but use it now because I live with a year and a half-old cat. (I've lived with this cat their whole life.

Avatar n tn I have tried 4x dosage of Allegra (as per head of big NYC hospital dermatology department) a day to no avail. The symptoms are progressively getting worse. Its been diagnosed as part of my psoriasis, eczema, and cholengenic uticaria. What once was a one day recovery period of itching incessantly is now more like 3 days to a week. It is making exercising unfathomable. I have run out of answers. Looking for direction...

Avatar m tn Hello, From the symptoms it can be contact dermatitis or eczema. Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Allergic reaction can occur to strong soaps, Solvents, chemicals, certain foods, food additives, plants, metals, cosmetics, even urine and faeces of some animals (dust mites). The mainstay of management is liberal use of moisturizers after washing with luke warm water. Soap should be used minimally.
578950 tn?1217771704 Just to update on the situation, looks like I had athletes foot on my foot, which then shocked my immune system into having a bought of eczema, it was not athletes foot on my hands, those little bumpy things, that was eczema! So it was misdiagnosed by the Dr's on this site. Eczema came on my feet, fingers and hands, as a result of the athletes foot making my immune system have some kind of a reaction.
Avatar m tn Well I have had Hashimoto for the past 10 years, and I also have had allergy problems and have taken Allegra D for the past 4 years. I don't think allegra had anything to do with my hashimoto/hypothyroid.
Avatar n tn been taking some over the counter clariton, and some of an old prescription i have for allegra. This is really driving me crazy and i dont have insurance so im not sure what to do about it extra info- may or may not be related Itchy(no rash) Im a big guy 350 lb.
Avatar n tn Working out that my son *had* allergies in the first place, was a long drawn-out process. He wasn't a classic case of sneezing in the spring, though by the time he got to kindergarten he was sneezing a big one every other day. (Before then, not so much, though he did have a runny nose sometimes in preschool.) Once it finally seemed like his problem was allergies, we got an appointment with an M.D. who specializes in pediatric allergies.
Avatar m tn i take zyrtec, allegra and alervert all day every day as my doctor told me for my hives .some days its real bad and others are very good. ive had no effects from the mixture.
Avatar f tn The doctor said it was shingles and prescribed Allegra (for the itching) and Valtrex (to get rid of the rash). It did not really help or do anything. The rash comes and goes. Some days it is red and not very puffy. Other days it's not red, but it's bumpy. It has been "wet" from scratching "open" the blisters. It really is bothersome. The photo below is what it looks like today, but like I said, it varies. Any ideas??
Avatar f tn s when I decided to try the Allegra for the Paxil, problem. Just to let you know, I ended up taking 1/2 of an Allegra and the symptoms went away again. I woke up this morning feeling fine. The zaps usually start late in the day and are not bad. Just to reassure everyone....I have a doctor appointment Monday morning at 9am!!! I will not, however, take another Paxil! Thanks for all you help and input..
Avatar m tn Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
Avatar f tn Over the counter antihistamines are Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or other allergy medicines such as Claritin or Allegra. Your pharmacist can also recommend cheaper over the counter ones for you, but you should first schedule an appointment with your doctor! Good luck to you!
Avatar f tn Hmm... Not sure what it is but i got eczema after being pregnant. Its on both or my and and one hand. Its incredibly itchy and red. I've found Eucerin works best for me. Good luck!
Avatar n tn What is better for allergies allegra or claritin? Whats stronger Loratadine or Fexofenadine?
Avatar n tn My 3 year old is already taking allegra, flovent and now tagament twice a day. Along with battling what some have said are hives. She has scratched herself till she has scabs on many parts of her body. She has a special lotion, hypo allergenic shampoo, free and clear everything else that I can find. I am almost ready to pull out my hair because it seems that no one can give me a straight answer. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Avatar m tn Something alarming happened today. I took two allergy pills around 10:00pm. Around 12 pm I had a baowel movement. The stool looked... fluffy. Not diareah (-sp?) like, but spongy. There were two white things floating. When I looked closer I realized they were the allergy pills I took. It was Allegra D. Could this be the reason they haven't been working like they used to? I mean, they hardly looked like the outer coating was gone. Should I go to the doctor? Be alarmed? That was kinda freaky.
Avatar f tn For pretty much the past 6 or 7 years, I constantly break out in hives whenever I touch anything. It could be that I sit on a chair and get hives on my thighs or open the fridge and get hives on my hands. I've gone to a dermatolagist several times, but even after a scratch test and everything, we've found no reasons for my random breakouts. I'm currently on Allegra and have been for years. I've tried claritin, zyrtec, etc. I need to know what ttis is and how to stop it!
Avatar f tn Hi! Congratulations! If you were my patient, I would advise you to take the absolute minimum medication that you can get away with during the first trimester especially. BUT having said that, Allegra is pregnancy category C which means that it CAN be used in pregnancy if the benefits out weigh the risks. Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn I was OK to take Allegra. Ask your Dr. But I know Allegra is safe as well as benadril. And claritain. When in doubt ask a Dr.
Avatar f tn I would sit tight till they open. These are such new drugs and only your Dr can give you the green light. You don't want to risk SVR unless you know for sure. .....
