Common Questions and Answers about Allegra side effects in adults

allegra

Avatar m tn I am in week 4 of the Olysio/Sovaldi combo therapy and am disappointed at the side effects I'm experiencing. Prior to starting the treatment I was very encouraged by what I was finding on the boards, especially after two bad experiences with interferon treatment and an allergic reaction to ribavirin. Unfortunately I am experiencing maddening itching which I'm controlling with Allegra and extreme fatigue and an all around foggy feeling.
Avatar n tn Both are mainly used in treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis and treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria. Headache and drowsiness are side effects seen with loratidine. Whereas headache and vomiting with fexofenadine. Both are quiet safe and any one can be used for which consult your local health care provider. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn t had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
1402935 tn?1281958699 It will reduce the inflammation and thin the mucus, with no side effects. The first couple of days take 1000 mg. For me it works like a charm. In fact I had been on those dangerous inhaled steroids (like symbocort) and the B5 worked much, much better.
Avatar f tn I read in a forum about using Allegra (an allergy med) to help the side effects. I have found that the Allegra really helps with the Zaps that occur. My problem is I don't want to take one in the afternoon, evening because they will keep me awake all night! Anybody got any night time ideas. I will not take another Paxil - I will put up with whatever licks I have to take. Any idea how long withdrawl symptoms will pop up. Do I have them all now?
1528897 tn?1291833568 You could try different types of allergy medications. Nasal sprays are very effective with few, if any, side effects. Nasal steroids are the most common. There are also nasal antihistamines. You can also purchase an OTC mast cell stabilizer, NasalCrom. It is very effective. Lastly, if nasal drainage is the problem you can try atrovent. Have you tried a variety of oral antihistamines. Zyrtec has very few side effects.
180992 tn?1383374057 The trial did list possible side effects as does this new trial , I got so many more side effects than listed on the trial information.Without the help of everyone on this forum I don't think I would have gotten through. Advice given about getting ear plugs for my extreme tinnitus and compression hose for the Petechiae rash to Allegra/Zantac for the hives and so many other tips not mentioned by the Doctors.
Avatar f tn He had told me the SIngulair will not make me feel funny, cause anxiety or heart palps etc...yet I see there are a lot of negative side effects. Does anyone have any experience on this medicine or just how safe it is?
Avatar m tn In the first place Zyrtec tends to make you drowsy and Allegra tends to perk you up. It would be pretty weird to take them together. I take Zyrtec daily and when my allergies act up I take a single dose of Benadryl which is short-acting. that works well for me.
Avatar f tn Have you considered that you might be allergic to something in either the Armour or the Allegra? Fillers in drugs often cause people side effects. Also, if you've been hypo recently, and the long, cold, dry winter has just ended, could it be a secondary skin problem that hasn't been able to heal? I've never heard of antibodies causing any symptoms (doesn't mean they can't), except, of course, destruction of the thyroid.
Avatar m tn These dangerous complications occurred when Seldane was taken in combination with erythromycin or ketoconozole, causing Seldane to build up in the blood and resulting in serious cardiac side effects. Hoechst Marion Roussel and Baker Norton Pharmaceuticals, the manufacturer of the Seldane, have voluntarily discontinued the distribution and marketing of all terfenadine-containing antihistamine product lines in the United States.
Avatar f tn 1) a better antihistamine. Benadryl is very weak and high in side effects. Zyrtec and Allegra are both OTC and generic and work great. 2) sinus rinse!!! My all time favorite addition to my life since my allergies demanded treatment. I prefer the NielMed sinus rinse bottle (it is the only bottle available) over neti pots as you can get a slightly stronger flow to better cleanse your sinuses of debris and pollen.

Avatar f tn Why Ritalin, a medication that has side effects? I would suggest you try ginko biloba, a natural supplement that has been widely studied and has no side effects. I was once on a study with this herb for two years. There is absolutely no doubt as to its efficacy.

Avatar f tn Try taking home remidies like plain water steam, twice a day, it gives awesome results for cold, cough and watery eyes. This is free from any side effects. I do this all the time.
Avatar f tn My doctor recently put me on a combination of drugs for PEP, the drugs are lamzid and efavirenz and have very serious side effects. My exposure was licking/sucking a nipple of a non-pregnant HIV positive person. No milk came or blood came out but just had an after taste in my mouth. The act was for 2-3 seconds. What are my chances of getting HIV and are the reported cases of infection in adults, cause I know with babies you can.
Avatar m tn 1, your FT3 is on the low side. Most of us find that FT3 has to be in the upper half to third of the range in order to feel well. Yours is only at 45%. I know B6 is necessary to absorb folate, but it just might be too much for you.
2078979 tn?1332206668 My doctor told me that zyrtec and claritin are ok but not allegra. If you perfer natural remedies, chamomile tea, vapor rub, hot chicken broth with a little cheyenne, lots of fruits and veggies-especially vitamin c. Netti pots work great for sinus problems, just make sure to use distilled water.
453255 tn?1205792176 Hi, You could in fact consider an alternative and possibly stronger anti-hstamine medication than allegra / fexofenadine. If your symptoms still persist, you could talk to your doctor about a short course of steroids and see if it helps with your symptoms. A short course of steroids would not be associated with the side effects of steroids. Let us know if you have any other doubts and keep us posted on how you are doing. Regards.
Avatar n tn http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/guanfacine_ad.htm http://www.depression-guide.com/tenex.htm http://www.drugs.com/mtm/tenex.html I don't see much that would describe your son's behavior here, but if he's taking other meds on top of this one, there could be a reaction.
Avatar n tn Some allergy meds can cause nervousness, anxiety, agitation. I'd check out the side effects for yours online. Anxiety, from any cause, can make you sleepless, give you a racing heartbeat, tense muscles, shakes, twitches and all kinds of strange sensations. If you don't have to take the allergy meds, maybe stay off it for a few days and see if your symptoms subside. If that doesn't help, ask yourself if maybe you're under a lot of stress at home or at work.
