I am in week 4 of the Olysio/Sovaldi combo therapy and am disappointed at the side effects I'm experiencing. Prior to starting the treatment I was very encouraged by what I was finding on the boards, especially after two bad experiences with interferon treatment and an allergic reaction to ribavirin. Unfortunately I am experiencing maddening itching which I'm controlling with Allegra and extreme fatigue and an all around foggy feeling.

Pain medications have numerous side effects and those who do take pain meds on a regular basis do usually have some kind of depression due to the fact that they do have chronic pain but as far as the meds causing depression or bipolar no I do not believe so.

Anxiety, from any cause, can make you sleepless, give you a racing heartbeat, tense muscles, shakes, twitches and all kinds of strange sensations. If you don't have to take the allergy meds, maybe stay off it for a few days and see if your symptoms subside. If that doesn't help, ask yourself if maybe you're under a lot of stress at home or at work.

I read in a forum about using Allegra (an allergy med) to help the side effects. I have found that the Allegra really helps with the Zaps that occur. My problem is I don't want to take one in the afternoon, evening because they will keep me awake all night! Anybody got any night time ideas. I will not take another Paxil - I will put up with whatever licks I have to take. Any idea how long withdrawl symptoms will pop up. Do I have them all now?

Many AD's have side effects that affect the libido, guess it applies to both sex es. As far as I know all AD's have this drastic effect . Hopefully you'll find one that's OK for you . Good luck.

If its not the Rebif, it could very well be that you are reacting to your own situation (situational depression) or to the physical effects of the disease (chemical depression). I have suffered through the fever, the body aches, let me make that severe muscle pains, abdominal pains, and the list goes on. The one side effect that is really worrying me is the depression. I have never been so depressed in my life. In fact I have never been what I would call depressed. I've have some really hard times but I've always been able to push through. I have been on Sovaldi, Olysio and Riboviron for 4 weeks. I am finding that I feel very poorly with a laundry list of noxious symptoms. I feel very alone since my docs said that the side effect profile would be very tolerable. Many years ago I was on interferon and riboviron but could not tolerate the tx. I don't know if it is the roboviron that is causing the side effects. At this point I am pretty much bed-ridden. Is there anyone out there with a similar experience?

He had told me the SIngulair will not make me feel funny, cause anxiety or heart palps etc...yet I see there are a lot of negative side effects. Does anyone have any experience on this medicine or just how safe it is?

The trial did list possible side effects as does this new trial , I got so many more side effects than listed on the trial information.Without the help of everyone on this forum I don't think I would have gotten through. Advice given about getting ear plugs for my extreme tinnitus and compression hose for the Petechiae rash to Allegra/Zantac for the hives and so many other tips not mentioned by the Doctors.

In the first place Zyrtec tends to make you drowsy and Allegra tends to perk you up. It would be pretty weird to take them together. I take Zyrtec daily and when my allergies act up I take a single dose of Benadryl which is short-acting. that works well for me.

Have you considered that you might be allergic to something in either the Armour or the Allegra? Fillers in drugs often cause people side effects. Also, if you've been hypo recently, and the long, cold, dry winter has just ended, could it be a secondary skin problem that hasn't been able to heal? I've never heard of antibodies causing any symptoms (doesn't mean they can't), except, of course, destruction of the thyroid.

Hi there! Well, I've been on Effexor for over ten years. Started at a very low dose and I am at 150 mg for a long time now. So, I can't say if I remember all the side effects I had. But I will say that I definitely got sick to my stomach if I didn't eat immediately before taking it. This went away after a week or so as my body adjusted to the medication. I believe that the jitters and anxious feeling is all part of your anxiety.

do all of these crappy (literally) side effects EVER fade??? ive only been on the combined treatment for a month now....it just seems to b getting worse...the vomitting, crapping, fatigue,body aches, head aches, raw throat and mouth....i just hate to ask my docs for all kinds of meds....just wondering if it gets better closer to the one year marker????

For me, to have some relief from the severe depression made the side effects more than bearable, they are nothing in comparison.
