It was discovered that my bladder had been pierced and i had to have a SPC. Upon returning to the UK i have since have 2 separate procedures (urethral dilation) neither of which have worked. At the beginning of August i had a complex urethroplasty all the time the SPC has been in place. Once the urethral catheter was removed roughly 2 weeks ago i've found that my bladder is not emptying fully. I'm still having to use the SPC to fully void.
My husband has this problem everytime the SPC needs changing, tried regular 4 week changes and still stuck. Now has GA every 12 weeks to change the catheter along with botox and prostate massage. Around the 10 week mark he too finds it so painful to touch the tubing etc. Has had SPC two years. Next change Monday and urologist cannot explain why it sticks so badly.
I finished 3 courses of antibiotics in last two months, levofloxasin, norfloxasin, and Cefixime. Then I showed to a urologist in the last week and he put me on 30 days course of Alfuzosin. Not sure if is the antibiotics or the Alfuzosin that has worked but I am feeling 90% better now but the frequent urination persists. Erection feels uncomfortable and still mild pain at the penis tip sometimes.
Turns out, surgeon didn't leave adequate instructions regarding plugging the spc in the post-op timeframe. I found this out via a conversation with the surgeon's RN a few days ago. I apologize for any confusion. I was simply confused.

Flomax is used for the treatment of BPH and if you are having side effects to this drug then you can use other alpha blockers like doxazosin, terazosin, alfuzosin or 5 alpha reductase inhibitors like finasteride and dutasteride.
Effects may take longer to appear than alpha blockers, but they persist for many years. But they are available under prescription and should always be taken under a medical guidance.

To ad a little beat of information i'm taking Bactrium and alfuzosin hcl er in this days. could they have cause a false positive? I was tested 3 month ago and at the time i was negative for Hsv-1 I haven't have any exposer with the exception with the one i described.
Medications called alpha one adrenergic antagonist are usually prescribed for the stent discomfort. They are terazosin, doxazosin, tamsulosin and alfuzosin. Sometimes anticholinergic medications like oxybutynin (ditropan), detrol or vesicare may help. Please consult your doctor, he will prescribe appropriate medications for you.

I am on medications again the improvement is markedly less than the previous course. Am on 5th day of Doxy and Cefuroxime Clav. Along with Alfuzosin and Amitriptyline. This time course is of 10 days duration. I got extremely weak with joint pain which has improved. My current symptoms are pelvic penile n lower back pain and weakness.I have shown to 3 Urologists , all saying epididymitis. And also saying it may not be related to STD.
I cant live with a tube in my penis for the rest of my life , that I have to get changed monthly and the pain is HELL so I am left with no choice but get the SPC ( supra pubic catheter ) and that is an open wound in the belly that has to be kept clean and dry with a catheter directly threw the belly into the bladder and ugly as hell and extremely nasty. I was already getting my *** kicked from lupus and now I have this added to my hellish life.

m currently being treated by a Urologist P.A. with Alfuzosin and Uroblue? some medicine that turns my urine blue-ish. This is for an irritation in the urethra and sometimes at the tip. She prescribed these because the antibiotics I took didn't help. The irritation is improved tramendously, but now I still have the craling itchy butt crack. The discharge is hard to explain, it's hard to tell if it's just left ofer urine; though it seems a tiny but thicker.
I had acted on your suggestion and had consulted urologist.He had alfuzosin. It took almost three months. I also added Zolpidem to alprazolam (for Insomnia) Now i can sleep much better. Bathroom visits are almost normal.After many years I could normalize my B visits.Your suggestion helped me. My brother who is at Ohio and who is a psychiatrist advised me to add zolpiden for insomnia. With less bath room visits it has heped. thanks again.
50 y/o male. Last summer, started passing small (poppy seed sized) stones, 2-3mm.
Ultrasound tests revealed nothing. Was told to drink water. Stones became larger and numerous. CT scan that revealed numerous stones in my bladder. Urologist said stones were forming in bladder. Stones are uric-acid based. My prostate was probably enlarged. Stones continued to grow in size, passing one 1-2 wks. Was given Sodium Citrate. 2 months later, passed 5mm stone.
I forgot to mention that I'm taking Bactrium and alfuzosin hcl er could those medication influence the result ?
told me to try ibuprofen 3 times a day for 3 weeks, it did nothing. He put me on alpha blocker (alfuzosin) 2 weeks ago and it has done nothing.

I retested for all common STDs at 12 weeks and was negative for everything (HIV, HSV-1, HSV-2, gonorrhea, chlamydia, Syphilis, and trich).
Is this a yeast infection? Or is this some uncommon STD that my GP and Urologist can't identify? Should I go to an STD clinic?

Regarding Aspirin,This will thinner the blood .But the that DR. did not checked my blood test so how there was a assumption made by her which i am not sure. is there any relation with blood flow and irregular MC ?
Second Dr. told me that ,She want go as a Natural delivery as much as possible.
