Yeah!! The urologists are correct this hair is due to hormonal problem.But don't worry the hair will grow for some days and then it will stop.Its just a hormonal change which happens to all in about the age of 13 to 15 but in your case it's a bit late.

Hello, These symptoms can be due to telogen effluvium. See the growth cycle of hair is in two phases, anagen or growth phase and telogen or resting phase. During telogen, the resting hair remains in the follicle until it is pushed out by growth of a new anagen hair. In telogen effluvium, a large number of hair enter telogen at one time. When they start growing they do it together and so they will take some time to grow back.

Not that I am awear of. I'm not sure if this is related to pcos...but because pcos has such a wide spread of symptoms, I really wouldn't be surprised if this was somehow linked to pcos. I mean, I've never had this problem before.

I have a total T3 in the upper end/top of the reference range due to using T4 and T3 for hypothyroidism. However, recently I developed moderate acne and noticed new hair growth at the corners of my mouth and in between my eyebrows. It turns out that i have a mildly elevated total testosterone level but normal SHBG. Could the elevated total testosterone be causing these symptoms and be enough to diagnose PCOS or is my elevated total testosterone in someway linked to my T3 use?

I finished 3 courses of antibiotics in last two months, levofloxasin, norfloxasin, and Cefixime. Then I showed to a urologist in the last week and he put me on 30 days course of Alfuzosin. Not sure if is the antibiotics or the Alfuzosin that has worked but I am feeling 90% better now but the frequent urination persists. Erection feels uncomfortable and still mild pain at the penis tip sometimes.

Should I get the above tests done again along with Ferritin, Vitamin D and B12 and visit a thyroid doctor? I would like to bring a complete stop to this gradual hair thinning and shedding. Would it help? Also, should I stop the medication before undergoing the tests? Look forward to your replies! Thanks!

Ok so this might be tmi, but I have hair growing like crazy on my belly. And it is starting to gross me out. I want to get rid of it, but i dont no what's safe to use. Do u think NAIR hair removal l, which is a cream, would be ok to use on my belly. Or do u have any other suggestions?

Is it true that your hair grows faster when pregnant? I'm 21 weeks+4days & I've been wanting to cut my hair because it's damaged & has split ends (awful I know) but my hair grows super slow. Depending on how far along you are in your pregnancy will you notice a difference. The prenatal vitamins they say help with hair growth, however I believe its more hormonal changes within you. When you notice your hair growing you will also notice your nails growing faster than usual. I have been taking prenatal vitamins for only 3-4 wks... I would say its more hormonal changes than the vitamins, for myself atleast.
