I finished 3 courses of antibiotics in last two months, levofloxasin, norfloxasin, and Cefixime. Then I showed to a urologist in the last week and he put me on 30 days course of Alfuzosin. Not sure if is the antibiotics or the Alfuzosin that has worked but I am feeling 90% better now but the frequent urination persists. Erection feels uncomfortable and still mild pain at the penis tip sometimes.
I am suffering from BPH for the last 4 years and I am taking DUTASTERIDE (AVODART) and Alfuzosin .
Unfortunately , these meds do not help much since few months ago.
I also about a new procedure named: gat-goren (GG), that sounds as non-pervasive.
Did anyone hear about the GG procedure and can share experience or knowledge about that ?

Flomax is used for the treatment of BPH and if you are having side effects to this drug then you can use other alpha blockers like doxazosin, terazosin, alfuzosin or 5 alpha reductase inhibitors like finasteride and dutasteride.
Effects may take longer to appear than alpha blockers, but they persist for many years. But they are available under prescription and should always be taken under a medical guidance.

To ad a little beat of information i'm taking Bactrium and alfuzosin hcl er in this days. could they have cause a false positive? I was tested 3 month ago and at the time i was negative for Hsv-1 I haven't have any exposer with the exception with the one i described.
Medications called alpha one adrenergic antagonist are usually prescribed for the stent discomfort. They are terazosin, doxazosin, tamsulosin and alfuzosin. Sometimes anticholinergic medications like oxybutynin (ditropan), detrol or vesicare may help. Please consult your doctor, he will prescribe appropriate medications for you.

In mid march i experienced backpain so i went to a doctor and he gave me one injection and one tablet. And then Lockdown happened and on april 1st i noticed bloody semen discharge while masturbating first tym in my lyf. I have consulted an urologist and he gave me some medicines (alfoo, dolo, dutas, doxy) and tests to be done which i took almost 15days, upon my backpain and abdominal pain got reduced.
Available drugs include doxazosin, terazosin, alfuzosin and tamsulosin. Older drugs, phenoxybenzamine and prazosin are not recommended for treatment of BPH.[5] Alpha-blockers relax smooth muscle in the prostate and the bladder neck, and decrease the degree of blockage of urine flow. Alpha-blockers may cause ejaculation back into the bladder (retrograde ejaculation).
The 5α-reductase inhibitors (finasteride and dutasteride) are another treatment option.
I am on medications again the improvement is markedly less than the previous course. Am on 5th day of Doxy and Cefuroxime Clav. Along with Alfuzosin and Amitriptyline. This time course is of 10 days duration. I got extremely weak with joint pain which has improved. My current symptoms are pelvic penile n lower back pain and weakness.I have shown to 3 Urologists , all saying epididymitis. And also saying it may not be related to STD.
m currently being treated by a Urologist P.A. with Alfuzosin and Uroblue? some medicine that turns my urine blue-ish. This is for an irritation in the urethra and sometimes at the tip. She prescribed these because the antibiotics I took didn't help. The irritation is improved tramendously, but now I still have the craling itchy butt crack. The discharge is hard to explain, it's hard to tell if it's just left ofer urine; though it seems a tiny but thicker.
50 y/o male. Last summer, started passing small (poppy seed sized) stones, 2-3mm.
Ultrasound tests revealed nothing. Was told to drink water. Stones became larger and numerous. CT scan that revealed numerous stones in my bladder. Urologist said stones were forming in bladder. Stones are uric-acid based. My prostate was probably enlarged. Stones continued to grow in size, passing one 1-2 wks. Was given Sodium Citrate. 2 months later, passed 5mm stone.
Most pain during urination and itching went away but still lingering pain in my penis and lymph nodes in groin were throbbing and keeping me awake at night and painful ejaculation. Back to doc got 10 days doxycycline. Ejaculate regular color and lymph nodes stopped throbbing a week or two after finishing doxy. BTW swab came back negative for gonorrhea and chlamydia and also they tried to culture my urine for bacteria but it was negative.
I guess for 2-3 times she observed itching in her genitals and also discharge of curd-like fluid (yeast??) which lasted for 3-4 days and then went off.
Now after being on anti-biotics for 6-7 weeks, the pain in lower back is subdued, there is no blood in sperms after ejaculation, the burning sensation is lessened and frequency of urination is normal. A week back, I had cold, fever, cold and cough, which went off in 3 days after medication.
I was prescribed a round of anitbiotics and after 30 days it appeared to go away. This started in April and was cleared up by July. Following year, same thing. In April began having that pain along with some difficulty sitting. Area between my anus and scrotum was sore. Another round of anitbiotics, the epididymitis went away perineum was and still is sore. When I touch that area I can feel soreness below the skin. It's painful if I press on that area.
I was diagnosed with Chlamydia in early June 2015. Upon the first sign of discharge I went to a doctor who gave me a 1000g of Azithromycin and a shot of Rocephin. Two weeks later the physician did a swab test which still showed positive for Chlamydia. A 10 day course of Doxycycline then cleared the Chlamydia. I also had a 9 panel STD test (including Trichomoniasis) done at 3 months, 5 months, and 8 months and all results came back negative.
5 mm is in the lower ureter and 3 mm in the left kidney. Since then I am drinking lots of water. I am taking Alfuzosin since last two days. For the last week I am having no pain and I am not taking any painkiller. My Dr says he will wait for ten days for the stone to fall else it has to be removed. Has the stone passed the ureter as I am not having any pain ? Can I wait more before removing it ? Is it necessay to forcebly remove it ? What can be done for the 3 mm stone laying in the kidney ?
1 year ago i was diagnosed with INTERNAL HEMORRHOIDS in saint Johns hospital,Bangalore.Doctor gave me Duphalac syrup and told to follow fiber rich diet to treat HEMORRHOIDS.i took it for 1 month and followed the diet.but, conditions didn't improve. i went back to the doctor and told it was not helpful.Doctor told me to take SCLEROTHERAPY,i was not knowing anything about sclerotherapy.
Since March 2011 I have had left testicular pain (sharp or burining) centered around what I can best describe as the spermatic cord or epidimitis and pain radiates along the left side of the pernium. Pain is greatest when testicle is being constricted, particularly painful in the process of being constricted. Putting on clothing, squatting and during cremasteric reflex is very painful.

My doctors are a little slow in telling me what high blood medications I can take with visteris (the 3rd drug after interferon and ribovarin) and what bph (enlarged prostate) med i can take. my hep doctor insists I can't take rapaflow (bph) or amlodopine (high blood pressure). thinking it might be a UTI, i went to urgent care 5 days after symptoms began and they did a UA and gave me 14 days of doxycycline. UA came back normal and the doxy seemed to help some as painful urination subsided after about a week and a half from onset.
after I finished the doxy I was still experiencing some general aches & pains both in my shaft but also in my perineum. hot baths seemed to help ease the perineal discomfort, as did ibruprofen.
