Body aches mostly knees and ankles [ i suffer through osteoporosis and joint pains too but the pains were not troublesome earlier] Can anyone tell is it viral or anything else.
I took my first dose of Alendronate and then experience significant muscle pain for the next 4 days. Does anyone know if I should expect this to happen each time I take it or is it something to happen for the first few times until my body adjusts to the medicine?

Do you mean Fosamax (alendronate)? If you do, its for treating bone problems like Osteoperosis by adding bone mass and slows bone loss. I use it for Osteopenia.
s flare, severe nausea, loss of appetite, weight loss of 18 lbs in last 6 weeks,steatorrhea, pain in mid chest and right upper quadrant. Had CT scan 2 weeks ago which showed significant inflammation in terminal ileum and old pancreatitis with calcification. Gastroscopy last week showed oesphagitis.Biopsies taken. MRI scan Nov 2007 showed two strictures in small intestine. Gastro has advised following until I see him in clinic 23 July:
Double my mtx injections to 25 mg weekly.
I presume that you are on prednisones for your severe asthma.
If you are worried that using this has damaged your bones, you should speak to your doctor about this. If may be that you need to have calcium and Vitamin D (this helps the body to absorb calcium) replacement.
Do not stop taking the prednisones until you speak with your doctor.
The damage to your 3 vertebrae may just be coincidental.

I started having joint pain a couple of weeks after gall bladder surgery. It is continually getting worse and in my shoulders, wrists and right jaw. My left hip joint has gotten better. The pain hurts really bad at night when I am laying and try to move my arms. I am also having trouble chewing with my jaw in pain. I am 63 years old and a Real Estate Agent. I never had a pain at all until after the surgery. I have always been in good health and don't drink or smoke.

My concern is as follows: the only exposure I have is unprotected oral performed on other men. Since the beginning of the year i have been experiencing pain on my both knees that come and go and well, I'd like to know how does ars joint pain feel like. The doctor diagnosed some patellar disfunction but I doubt it, since I only started running last year and I read professional runners are those who get it. Or something.
I have joint pain in my knees and elbows, weakness in knees after kneeling down and trying to stand up. I have numbness that comes and goes in my feet. My chemo/raidiation treatments ended a year ago. Are these aches and pains caused by the after effects of the drugs and radiation? I also have trouble taking antibiotics or pain meds. I seems to get every side effect listed. Alcohol of any type bothers me also. I use to enjoy a glass of wine but no longer.
I've been having pain in my fingers, knees, hips and ankles for about a year, maybe a bit longer. I'm 28 years old and live a pretty active life. I've looked up joint pain on the internet and all I find is arthritis, but I really don't think that's what I have. Any help?
Maybe you could ask to be put on .175 instead. Seems kind of drastic to go from .2 to .15 when there's a dose in between those two. I'd ask why there was such a drastic dose reduction and tell the doctor about your new symptoms.
Do you know what your TSH was and the range?
I had horrible joint pain prior to tx. in all the same places you did,but once starting tx all pain went away. I experienced a horrible resurgence of pain 1 mth post tx.and i just figured i had relapsed, but that was not the case. I txd 96 wks i i feel it had something to do with stopping tx suddenly after being on pegasys for so long without a break. The pain went away 3rd mth post tx. and has never returned. 17mth svr now.
Recently he started having a lot of joint pain. Now his ankles and feet are swelling. His sugar levels are doing great. We have been to the doctor and he has had several test done. Everything is coming back good. Has anyone had these same symptoms? He is taking Metformin and I am wondering if this has anything to do with this.
