I took my first dose of Alendronate and then experience significant muscle pain for the next 4 days. Does anyone know if I should expect this to happen each time I take it or is it something to happen for the first few times until my body adjusts to the medicine?
Do you mean Fosamax (alendronate)? If you do, its for treating bone problems like Osteoperosis by adding bone mass and slows bone loss. I use it for Osteopenia.

The authors examined the effects of high-dose oral alendronate (40 mg daily) for 6 months on 3 adult patients with intractable headache due to fibrous dysplasia of the skull. Each patient had disease processes not amenable to surgery. The patients underwent clinical follow-up at 1, 3, and 6 months. Their pain levels were documented at each visit by using a visual analog scale. All 3 patients demonstrated a significant decrease in pain levels and became independent of scheduled analgesics.
I am also taking Aromasin for bc. Stopped alendronate (I am osteopenic due to 30 yrs of prednisolone and Arimidex) in case this caused the oesophagitis. Would appreciate your advice.
thankyou,i am with contact of my doctor ,he said there is no solution for damaged vertibras,but calcium and vitiman d and alendronate sodium/cholecaiciferol tablets will help spine and bones from further damages but what to do with prednisones i cant stop them because of asthma and taking of them will damage other bones isnt there any other solution instead of prednisones, i know there is nothing accept these because my doctor told me:(

Osteoporosis medications like Raloxifene (Evista), alendronate (Fosomax), risendronate (Actonel) and ibandronate (Boniva) all can cause flu like symptoms in individuals that are taking them. I am not sure what medications you are on, but this could be your problem.
i've noted from time to time that my sons eyes tend to breifly be in different directions. He doesent seem to have problems with vision and no one else seems to have noticed when i've mentioned it to others.
Also, would it perhaps be possible to add some alendronate, or something else to help her bone density and still be able to benefit from the thyroid medication? Thank you so much!
It is not at all unusual for a child of four to experience difficulty with muti-step directions. In fact, it is really not a good idea to issue several directions at once. Two should be the maximum. Children of four simply do not have working memories that are sufficiently developed to handle directions that contain several or more steps. Now, in spite of that, this child may display some delay in his language development. An evaluation by a Speech/Language professional is in order.
Working memory is the skill that is required to recall and follow directions. If a child has certain conditions, such as Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, working memory is often impaired. When you give him directions, be sure he is next to you and that you establish eye contact. Then, have him repeat the directions before he proceeds to execute them.
Some of the tests will have two windows, one is the control window to make sure it is working and will typically be a line, where the second window is the results window and will vary on what it shows to say if the test is positive or negative. s, but this has exponentially been exacerbated by Arimidex. For the past 2 yrs I have been taking a weekly bisphosphonate (Alendronate), plus twice daily Calcichew/Vit.D to help prevent further bone loss.
Tamoxifen is prescribed for pre-menopausal patients, the AI's for post-menopausal. As I had a full hysterectomy some 19 yrs ago, I could go straight on to Arimidex.
My directions were to fill it up 1/2 way. Use it for 7 days. There should be directions from the pharmacy.
I just took the oraquick test today at home. I swabbed the top and bottom of my gums but only the left side of my mouth on both. I was anxious taking the test and I don't even know why I didn't think the swab the entire top and bottom row. I followed all of the other directions correctly and got a line next to the C and nothing next to the T. Should i take this negative as accurate because the line next to the C still showed up and all?
Helpppp making formula for the first time, and as far as I think I read the directions properly.. But it looks white!! like real milk..
