As there was no improvement. Doctor adviced to have Exemptia (Adalimumab) injection. 4 injections (40mg 8ml) was given. Next day he was having stomach pain, tight and rigid stomach, and fast breathing. He was immediately admitted in the nearby hospital and doctor found he was suffering from megacolon (toxic colon). After taking x-ray and CT scan, it was found that there was perforation in his stomach.

Since then he has been under constant treatment. We were given steroid courses, infliximab, adalimumab injections, and now he is on methotrexate every week since 2 weeks. My concern is that this injection is a chemo treatment, which can have many side effects as well as good effects. My son is now nearly 11 years old. His health is deteriorating by the day. He feels weak and dizzy, cannot do activity like playing outside with other children because he feels tired and worn out.

I am beginning to think I am a guinea pig. My rheumy has given me anywhere from 10-25 injections of marcaine .50. I have to get them once a month. They take him all of about 50 seconds to give me. d this year with Ankylosing spondylitis. Been treating several months with Adalimumab - not terribly impressed. Get better relief from anti-inflammatory and chiropractic. Probably not related to my HCV tx, but find it interesting that Rheumy doc wants me to do PCRs for HCV - even after 12+ years sustained response - while doing the Adalimumab immunosuppressant.

Though non steroidal anti-inflammatory agents (NSAID) and steroids are the gold standard of treatment, more emphasis should be laid on physical and occupational therapy, rest, heat pads and use of assistive devices for walking. I recieved an injevtion to l4-s 1 then several to my si joint. The injections made me worse I suffer from severe pain bladder dysfuction and my legs go dead and give out. I've been getting progesterone injections since I was 17 weeks. This is my fourth pregnancy and I didn't have to get them with my first two three pregnancies. So I'm new to this. I'm 29 weeks as of today and I started having contractions last week. They stopped for like three days and now they have started again. m high risk and consultants wants to see me in 2 weeks to inject steroids 24 hrs apart. Apparently if I go into preterm labour then the injections will allow the baby lungs to develop quickly and ensure the best chances of survival. Anybody else had these? baby's tummy was in normal range but not exactly on the graph line....
