actos tab 15mg

I currently take glimepiride 4mg twice daily and actos 15mg once daily. What is the sucess of these two meds. I continue to have high blood sugar levels.

I take AM and PM Lantus. Just started on Actos 15mg. I've started reducing my simple carbohydrates a lot. Cereals, Breads, Potatoes, Rice, high carb. veggies. Substituting low carb veggies, low carb fruits, avocadoes. In 2 weeks I've reduced night time Lantus from 25U to 10 U and BS in AM 90- low 100's. Yesterday enjoyed burger with L&T,onion, mayo on lettuce with no bun.. Today I made unbreaded baked zucchini with tomato sauce and mozz. cheese. I'm also exercising more.

I've been on Actos for 9 years and have no problems. Avandia is effectively off the market but ACTOS was not removed. The diabetic educator should know better that suggest someone get off a drug. Suggesting that he/she contact their M.D. was a good idea, but not necessarily required, unless the 'one man in the class' is having noticable adverse side-effects. Rumor monger statements and posts like this one are more scary than it actually should be.

m also on actos plusmet 15/500 just once a day, with a insulin pump ( i take apidra in my pump)... byetta and actos plus met are very similar drugs doing the same thing.. the actos+met will make you gain weight very quickly. How many shots of byetta are you taking a day a long with the actos plus met? and what dose of actos are you taking and why...

Hi all, My hubby was dx'ed 2 weeks ago w/ diabetes II. His regular doc put him on 30 mg Actos daily. At 1st hubby's blood sugar was a whopping 390- now it's down to 76-90 in the am and no more than 180 even after lots of sugary food. Obviously the blood sugar is well under control now. The problem is, my husband's vision is going crazy! I know that diabetes can cause vision problems when blood sugar is high, but the way it's happening doesn't make sense.

If you want to get a better vascularity of the brain take 1 tab of Naftizidine (praxilene) 200mg 3 times daily, natrol memory complex (vimpozine). If you still take an antidepressant increase slightly the dose. If not start with Escitalopram and reach 15mg daily for just 1-2 packs.

s that were barely helping my more than half she cut the morphine completely and went from a 15 mg tablet of Oxycodone to 10 mg. Which the script read 15mg tab cut into .67 th of a pill instead of just giving me a 10mg tablet. I am scared that they are treating my injury just like any other instead of the unique one that it is. What should be the correct treatment for my injury?

today i saw a pain mngmt dr, he took me off hydrocodone 7.7/500mg, and tramadol 50mg, i was allowed 4 vicodins a day and up to 8 tramadol. i have an appt to see him next thursday to, He put me on morphine sulfate IR 1m mg, 1 tab 2x's a day and morphine sulfate 30 mg CR 1 tab 2x's a day, I hope i get better and longer relief. My question will these new meds help any thoughts?

Due to a lot of weight gain. My doctor took me off actos and put me on glumetza. I also take glipizide. The gulmetza does not seem to be working for me. My sugars are in the 200 + - range. Is there another generation 1 or 2 diabetes medicine that I can take with the glipizide that will work as good as the actos did and not cost so much? I would like to get off the glumetza. I am really thinking about asking the doctor to put me back on insulin (novolin R). Thank you for your input.

Started at 1/2 tab = 7.5mg for seven days then up it to a full tab of 15mg. The half tab made me really "sleepy-headed" all the time. The full tab just about knocked me out for most of the day. My D.R. had me cut the dose down to 3.75mg = approx 1/4 tab until I can get used to the sensations. It's now about four weeks and I'm still the same way. I'm beginning to think that this isn't the right med for me but I'll give it a few more weeks.

Actos made my appetite surge and I gained 20 lbs with combo Actos/Lantus. I went off Actos but still inject 20 units in evening. BS fast is 215. I do not EAT wrong.

I am comming off morphine sulfate - I still have 30 pills left - 20 of the 15mg IR and 10 of the 30mg ER - I just want to be off this drug and the withdrawals are more than I can stand. I have diabetes ll. My doctor has given me Actos 30 mg. I have been hearing a lot about this drug and none of it's good, saying long term use causes bladder cancer. My last A1c was 6.1 although now due for another one. I'm not sure the risk involved with this drug is worth the benefits as my sugar is not out of control and my numbers are always under 175. You need to have him adjust your levels immediately. I would fax your numbers to your doctor and have them adjust your dosage, we do this with my daughter if she runs too high or too low between appointments.

I took Actos and within a week started having stomach and left side pains. I stopped actos and 75% of the symptoms are gone but I did see my doctor who ordered a CT scan which was normal. My labs have all been normal except I did show 21% atypical lymphs. Mono test was negative and so was H pylori blood test. I suspect the Actos started my problems. I felt bloated and full, pain in one specific area on left side, stomach stopped growling, etc.

30am wake up. 2mg Glimepride at 5:00pm before dinner. Take glucose readings just before meds in am and pm. Currently avg 167 in the am and 114 in the pm. Active during the day but little activity during the evening and night. Anyone have information about switching the 30mg Actos + 4mg Glimepride to before dinner and the 2mg Glimepride at wake up in hopes of lowering the morning readings? Thank you.

I have just been prescribe 50mg Zoloft daily and 15mg Buspar (1/2 to 1 tablet) if needed for anxiety. 1) What is the best time to take it for a person working 3-11pm so I won't get tired? I was thinking of taking the Buspar in the day and the Zoloft at night? Any suggestions? 2) I am a little confused with the Buspar order. The insert/instruction state to take it on a regular basis to achieve a theraputic level. Will it help to take it whenever?

I'm diagnosed with ADHD and depression at 25mg amphetamine tab daily (15 morning, 10 lunch), and 15mg Sertraline every breakfast, respectively. Regarding the ADHD, my psychiatrist told me I should probably take a "pill holiday" with the Adderall every once in a while when I don't study or when I am not doing much work.
