30am wake up. 2mg Glimepride at 5:00pm before dinner. Take glucose readings just before meds in am and pm. Currently avg 167 in the am and 114 in the pm. Active during the day but little activity during the evening and night. Anyone have information about switching the 30mg Actos + 4mg Glimepride to before dinner and the 2mg Glimepride at wake up in hopes of lowering the morning readings? Thank you.

The third day that I took .30mg of thyroid tab, I had a severe reaction. The top of my head felt like it was going to explode, Pressure behind my eyes, chills, heart racing and throat swelling. I was lucky I had prednisone to take or I would have ended up in the ER. I haven't went back to my Dr. yet because I am afraid to take any thyroid medication. This was a very scary experience.

I've been on Actos for 9 years and have no problems. Avandia is effectively off the market but ACTOS was not removed. The diabetic educator should know better that suggest someone get off a drug. Suggesting that he/she contact their M.D. was a good idea, but not necessarily required, unless the 'one man in the class' is having noticable adverse side-effects. Rumor monger statements and posts like this one are more scary than it actually should be.

My doctor placed me on 30mg Actos daily to bring the levels down (140 fasting, A1c of 7.4). I discontinued using Lactulose because it made me go to the bathroom all of a sudden. Instead I switched to Metamucil with better results. I informed my doctor about the switch and he concurred. I was not told about the tendency to raise blood sugar as its side effect. I monitor my blood sugar daily upon waking up and in two weeks it has gone down to 123 fasting. I weighed 176 lbs.

m also on actos plusmet 15/500 just once a day, with a insulin pump ( i take apidra in my pump)... byetta and actos plus met are very similar drugs doing the same thing.. the actos+met will make you gain weight very quickly. How many shots of byetta are you taking a day a long with the actos plus met? and what dose of actos are you taking and why...

Hi all, My hubby was dx'ed 2 weeks ago w/ diabetes II. His regular doc put him on 30 mg Actos daily. At 1st hubby's blood sugar was a whopping 390- now it's down to 76-90 in the am and no more than 180 even after lots of sugary food. Obviously the blood sugar is well under control now. The problem is, my husband's vision is going crazy! I know that diabetes can cause vision problems when blood sugar is high, but the way it's happening doesn't make sense.

I have been take 30mg immediate release oxycodone for about 3 months,recreationally, first a quarter pill then half and finally peaking at 45-60mg a day for about a week. for the past 2 days i have just have 30mg a day split into morning and night. Due to a lot of weight gain. My doctor took me off actos and put me on glumetza. I also take glipizide. The gulmetza does not seem to be working for me. My sugars are in the 200 + - range. Is there another generation 1 or 2 diabetes medicine that I can take with the glipizide that will work as good as the actos did and not cost so much? I would like to get off the glumetza. I am really thinking about asking the doctor to put me back on insulin (novolin R). Thank you for your input.

I was addicted to roxy 30mg for about 1 1/2 yrs. i was taking 3 to 4 30mg tab daily. I then decided to get off roxys and turned to Suboxone. I started taking 8 mg once daily and tapered down to 1 mg daily in the past 6 months. I am currently on DAY 4 without Suboxone and feeling very badly. I'd been on MMT for 15 yrs. I started at 150mg/day, dropped to,70mg/day, then dropped to 30mg/day, then 10 mg/day. It took me about a year. My last 10mg tab was 3 months ago. But I'm STILL sneezing like a lunatic! I might sneeze 4-5x a year before. Now I sneeze 4-5x before I get out of bed and at least another 10x thru the day. How long does this last? Actos made my appetite surge and I gained 20 lbs with combo Actos/Lantus. I went off Actos but still inject 20 units in evening. BS fast is 215. I do not EAT wrong.

I have diabetes ll. My doctor has given me Actos 30 mg. I have been hearing a lot about this drug and none of it's good, saying long term use causes bladder cancer. I took Actos and within a week started having stomach and left side pains. I stopped actos and 75% of the symptoms are gone but I did see my doctor who ordered a CT scan which was normal. My labs have all been normal except I did show 21% atypical lymphs. Mono test was negative and so was H pylori blood test. I suspect the Actos started my problems. Ask for Actos, I took it for my tyoe II. There are other medications too, talk to your doctor.

Hi everyone. I recently got off 30mg of methadone. Well I was on 30mg for about 4 mths and started tapering off. When I got to 15mg I decided to quit. I lasted a few days when I started having severe restless leg, loss of appetite, anxiety, hot and cold flashes, and insomnia.
