Avatar n tn I take once monthly Actonel. While I was pushing the pill through the foil blister, it broke. I did not take that pill for fear that it could cause stomach problems. My question is would it have been safe to take? Also, if I contact Proctor & Gamble, do you think they might replace the pill. If it was a daily pill, I wouldn't worry about, but I just lost a whole month of medicine due to a faulty package design.
Avatar n tn if so, its there any danger of those larger dose could drop TSH level, to hyperthyroidism i want to somebody could explain how this weekly dosage mechanism works in the body, if its safe enough to stabilize TSH levels, without drop down to below range level thanks

427265 tn?1444076436 Bill1954 would be a good one to talk about this, he was also on a high dose of riba. Wow 1600mg for someone your size and being stage 4 i hope your doctor is going to do weekly blood tests.......
Avatar n tn I am just tired of taking medicenes that seem to cause other problems. I think I have the GERD from taking Actonel even though I followed the instructions to the letter for taking the Actonel. No longer take it. Just take calcium.
Avatar n tn Can you post her actual free T3, free T4 and TSH results along with their reference ranges? That would help members comment a lot more intelligently. Also, if you have the previous lab results from before the increase to 150 mcg, that would be interesting to see. I agree that she should be tested again, but you should wait six weeks from her last meds change. It takes that long for the new dosage to become stable in the system and the tests to reflect what's really going on.
6359077 tn?1441486304 we have used liposomal glutathione from livonlabs (no gmo soy) or maxhealthlabs (the second no soy), obviously it is useless on hbv but extremely helpful in case of fibrosis and liver damage i guess liposomal is better than subcutaneous injection, maybe IV is superior but too complicated to have IV unless you are a nurse/dr yourself
354706 tn?1279470795 I have to wonder at the dosage......if I got that massive dose weekly I would have been totally wiped out.....don't you think? It is a rainy fall day here in NW Iowa....sort of dreary.....I guess it suits the kind of news we are hearing today.....Chris and Deandra.....Becky isn't doing the best either.....that missing little seven year old girl down in Florida.....sigh. At least you threw something hopeful into the day! Thanks. Have a good one. Peace.
Avatar n tn The Doc has you taking 822mcg weekly which can be adjusted without any ill effects by dividing this into 7 (days) if you feel that by taking no meds on the sunday is affecting you. This amounts to 117.4 mcg daily so the best avenue to take would be to take 125mcg x 6 days (750mcg) and 75mcg on Sunday (totalling 825mcg)...this would make you a fraction over (3mcg weekly) what you are taking now but really this would be the only way to do it. Run it by your Doc and see what he/she says.
Avatar m tn Non-hormonal biphosphonates (such as Fosamax and Actonel) increase bone strength and are available as once-a-week pills. These can also be taken. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
1139187 tn?1355706647 ll let you know the results when I get them. I am also taking Actonel 150mg monthly for the osteoporosis. As far as side effects, I have not experienced any in any form. Everything appears all right down below. If I recall, I was on 2 actuations per day for about 6 months and then had a t-level taken which dictated increasing the dose to 3 actuations. In another 6 months, the same story, so I was increased to 4 actuations.
Avatar f tn I'm 36+3 days and just bought evening primrose oil 1000mg and was wondering how I should take it the bottle says 3 pills daily ....
Avatar n tn You may become dependent on Xanax even if the dosage is small. You can wean off of it by decreasing the dosage by a half on a weekly basis.
Avatar f tn It more so helps with softening the cervix and not tearing during delivery, you can start using it from 36 weeks both orally and vaginally and increase dosage weekly
1689583 tn?1387752394 Do you have to measure the dosage yourself or do they come already loaded for each injection and you just poke yourself ?
Avatar f tn My hgb has dropped to 9.6. I have been given a dosage reduction of my ribavirin instead of raising my hgb with the appropriate rescue drug (I'm in Canada so I'm thinking it's Eprex here). I have also been narrowly escaping an interferon reduction on a weekly basis due to trial requirements. I am at Week 17 and have was UND by week 6. Of course, I want no dosage reductions. My question is ...
Avatar f tn m back to weekly testing, hoping to avoid the dosage reduction or dosage stoppage that has been talked about if the levels don't show enough of an improvement. Incidentally, my ANC is 1.8. A bit of reading (and not enough yet to completely understand!) tells me that lymphocytes are made up of 3 different components, each performing a different function yet all playing a role in how we fight off any infection we may catch.
Avatar f tn Thyroid disease and what medication/dosage that works to alleviate symptoms is just as individual as you are. Barb's right when she said the healing takes time. I think you are doing the right thing, going up slowly and keeping track of how you feel, but try to relax a little, even though I know that's hard to do when you don't feel well. I wish I'd found this forum years ago, it's been very helpful.
Avatar n tn Anyway I will be on prometrium from ovulation time until pregnancy is confirmed. Once pregnancy is confirmed they will switch me to a weekly injectible progesterone supplements. We see an RE because I have endometriosis ans it's hard for me to get pregnant.
