Is there any remedies to cure my pimples on my head. It's too irritating me. Can you help me out.
• Orange peel has been found very effective in the local treatment of acne. mixed well with water on a piece of stone, the peel should be applied to the affected areas.
• Before going to bed apply ice on the face. This will reduce the inflammation and burning sensation on the skin and also help get rid of acne scars.
I recently read about a genetic test called AcneDX that tests whether or not oral antibiotics will be an effective acne treatment. My teenaged daughter has moderate acne and tetracycline has been suggested. I'm concerned about giving her a medication that may have side effects and produce an antibiotic resistance later in her life, and it may not even work to clear her acne up. The test sounds like a great way to find out prior to treatment if the antibiotics will help.
Im in desperate need of some home remedies that will take care of the acne on my forehead. It is so embarrassing and annoying! I am used to using astringent and other topical ointments from my dermatologist but since becomming pregnant ive stopped since some products can be dangerous. Ive asked this question before but have yet been successful at getting rid of it.. any suggestions would help greatly! Currently i am using clean and clear for sensitive skin.
Hey current and future mommies!!! So I have never really had acne before (just a couple pimples here and there) but as soon as I got pregnant, it's as if my body decided to become a teenage boy! I'm full of acne on my face, down my neck and even on my back! I feel horrible and disgusting! It's like my face chemistry has changed it feels tougher, oily and out of no where my pores are huge!!! Help! I'm 8 weeks pregnant, does this ever go away and when?!?

I have, what I can only describe as acne which is confined to my scalp. I am troubled by lots of spots and pimples, some have yellow puss in, some are just red spots. All are very sore to the touch. The main area of outbreak is a band across the back of my scalp from temple to temple, the sort of area where a hat band would contact your head. The spots are constantly appearing but I have periods of more severs outbreak. I have oily hair which I have to wash every day with baby shampoo.

It was mainly pimply so I used an acne pad to clean it twice a day. The pimples cleared-up but now there is just a red, itchy, blotchy RASH. Any ideas what I could use OTC?

After two years of moderate to severe cystic acne (but a lifetime of mild acne punctuated by spurts of cystic acne), I have noticed two things-While I'm in my late 30's, "hormonal" acne treatments etc. DON'T WORK and powerful anitbiotics work FAST & best. My most recent expereinces: using a sulfa based drug for non-skin infections has almost obliterated cystic acne in 4, yes 4 days!!!!!!

Obviously many products are not safe and I already know to ask my doctor before I use any chemicals or natural remedies. Just wondering if anything has been approved for you and what you have tried that works. I wash my face twice a day and follow with moisturizer but my face is getting worse. I'm 12 weeks btw.
I had some decent back acne and face pimples first trimester but they all went away 2nd trimester... It's purely new rushes of hormones that are causing it... Nothing you put on your skin will help and no hormone/drug treatment will be safe for pregnancy. It's just something you have to ride out... Hopefully your hormones settle soon and you get back to normal!
I am a 17-year-old girl who has been suffering from pigmentation issues since I was 13. My skin scars VERY easily and I'm left with large, faint, brown patches of pigmentation that make my skin very blotchy-looking. They come from irritated dry spots. I don't have a severe problem with acne but I get pimples now and then.
I have pigmentation that has been there for almost 3 years, quite faint and persistent. I'm desperate.
Anybody have any suggestions for pregnancy acne?? I'm 25 weeks. Its not too bad, just on one side of my face, but it can get really annoying at times. I'm currently using Ambi Foaming Cleanser which has somewhat helped but I'd love any home remedies to get rid of it.
They have the common sense things like do not pick, washed twice a day, if you have oily hair wash everyday,rinse with warm water, and avoid some medications and over the counter products because they can be harmful to the baby. I have not found any home remedies on how to treat acne naturally. About the only thing that I have found is coconut oil but I do not know where to get it.
I am also suffering from severe acne problem and dandruff, hair fall also. My one tooth is also getting black. I suffer from constipation also. Fusidic acid and minocycline are both antibiotics which are used for the treatment of acne. Treatment options include topical and oral antibiotics, topical retinoids, hormonal therapy, dermabrasion , phototherapy and laser resurfacing. Normally a combination of treatments is followed and if nothing proves effective then dermabrasion and laser therapy are useful. You can discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist.
my son began taking generic accutane at age 15yrs, 9mos. within weeks of beginning treatment, his hair, which is naturally thick and only slightly wavy, turned *severely* curly - you'd swear he got a perm.
i've read accounts of others online who say that their hair turned *slightly* curly after starting accutane, but to go from almost straight to *ringlets* do to it??
or could it be a coincidence - maybe his hair was in the process of turning curly due to adolescence?
