Avatar f tn I have never had a tooth abscess until now. I called my dentist and they are trying to help me to keep cost down bc I have no insurance and xmas is right around corner so money is tight. I have a back molar that broke about 3 months ago ive been trying to save up for root canal but now I think I will need it pulled. The tooth stopped hurting and then I got the pus pocket under it that would flare up but then go down.

Avatar n tn i have a deteriorating wisdom tooth that has been untreated. my jaw has locked twice before and i had mastoiditis, all within the last 4 months. now, however, there is a gap that can be clearly felt along my lower right jaw bone that is very painful and sensitive to the touch. my lymph glands are also touchy on that side only. the wisdom tooth is raised and swollen, but i have no fever, chills, or nausea.

Avatar n tn I know, I've had a problem with an abscessed tooth for about 3 months now. Even with antibiotics, if he does not get that tooth pulled, the abscess will come back again. An abscess is an infection in the gums. I would assume that it could possibly develop into all sorts of other problems. Gum disease can affect heart health as well. Please get him to seek help.

Avatar m tn Due to a tooth abscess, my cheek swelled out. An endodontist drained it and put my on a course of anti-biotics telling me it had reached a dangerous stage. (Prior to this the other side of my mouth had a gum abscess - and left untreated. My face and neck blew up and then went down without a problem) A week later after the drainage, the swelling is down by about 90% but there remains a hard lump in my cheek, and the surface area of my cheek over it is numb, also affecting my mouth on that side.

Sadly, it forced me to put her to sleep w/ in a week. Her teeth didn't seem so bad, though I wanted to have them cleaned last year to be on top of her oral care. However, because of her seizures, my vet didn't want to put her through dental surgery/ anesthesia; this was a mistake. She should have referred me to an animal hospital where they can resuscitate.

Avatar m tn i havent been to a dentist in 10 years because i have a blood phobia and i have had many tooth abscesses. this last one is really bothering me. i have to take about 1600 mg of ibuprofen and 1000 mg of tylenol to keep the pain away. i feel like crap,i have flu like symptoms. body aches,chest tightness and fatigue..but i am concerned about my heart health here. i have posted a lot on this forum about my cardiac problems. my electrical system of my heart is really messed up.

The dentist injected me, and a couple of days later, my gum above the tooth started to appear larger. I still have that, and it is untreated. It doesnt bother me too much but only at times. I googled symptoms of a brain abcsess , and I do have some of them. I'm so scared, it was a bad idea googling that! I shouldn't have did that... But I did. What do I do?? I'm afraid!
