Most of my tongue has been numb since this procedure and I have had heart palpitations, chest pounding off and on since this happened. Also start shivering off and on. I am 40 yrs old male .i had an abscess on my right hip i consult the doctor ,he suggest me an antibiotic twice for four days.after 3-4 days another abscess develop just 10mm above and again after 2-3 days 10mm another abscess develop but i am taking antibiotic regularly .what are the reason of repeating abscess & what is the permanent treatment to get rid of these.
I have been on clindamycin 150mg 2 every 8 hours for 4 days with a gum abscess. Its still hasnt come to a head yet, and very painful , I can feel a heart beat in it.Was wondering how long will it last. And is there any way to make it come to head. Had mini dental implants put in 3 years ago with 4 up top ,, and the gum abscess is right on top of it .

3 days ago I competed in a bicycle race (not sure if this is connected to my situation) and a few hours after the event I noticed a small lump on my buttocks quite close to my anus. Over the past couple days I developed an extremely painful abscess. In an attempt to clean my mouth using coconut oil the abscess burst. I believe I didn't swallow any of the liquid leaking out and throughly rinsed my mouth with salt water and then some hydrogen peroxide. they did a ct and found out that it was an abscess. it was 1 inch by 3/8 inch big. they gave me iv rocephin and drained the abscess. they put me on 250mg of keflex 4 x a day and 300mg of clindamycin 4 x a day for the next 10 days. talked to my dentist this morning and have a follow up appt. with him on weds. then if all goes well i will hopefully get the tooth that is causing all of this pulled next week.
