Have you had these symptoms checked out by your GP? Abilify does cause shaking and tremors, and just because your psychiatrist hasn't seen these side effects doesn't mean they aren't being caused by the Abilify. I doubt the Abilify is doing much to help you, it's rare to get this many years out of one medication as our bodies build up a tolerance to these types of medications.

My hand tremors were fine tremors and they would just happen a few times, short and spontaneous and usually when I was stressed out or upset about something, and would go away after a few minutes. As I said, I couldn't tell if it was lithium, risperdal, seorquel or whatever. I've been on so many meds and combos that I lost track.
i never went back to Cogentin again, btw, even when I went back to low dose risperdal with the other meds.
s diagnosis(after witnessing a very big melt down my son was having at the time of the appointment). He also increased the vavanse to 50 mg and put my son on 5 mg of Abilify and continue .1 mg of Clonidine. The stipulation was to give my son 1/2 a pill of Abilify for 7 days then the full 5 mg dose for the next 7 days and we would meet with the Psychiatrist again after the two weeks. I read every bit of the side effects paper work given with the Abilify.
Psychosis can exist in mixed states if someone has bipolar with psychotic features. Ask your psychiatrist what your diagnosis is and what an effective dose of Abilify would be and give it some time to build up to a proper blood level. If things get out of hand maybe he could prescribe something in the meantime to settle things until it kicks in.

The psychiatrist wants to try abilify. It can also cause similar side effects. Just not as bad. I started giving my wife sam e after stopping xyprexa. Her mood and other physical symptoms are better. I want her to just take the sam e and to re-start taking her cholesterol medicine again.
I am on 90 mg of Cymbalta and just started 15 mg of Abilify for depression. My doctor has titrated me up on the Abilify gradually. My question is for anyone who take 15 mg of Abilify for depression. Have you experienced any side effects? When you're depressed and trying to get your medications right it just isn't fun. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
I was originally on Paxil then my Pschy took me off of it and put me on Abilify which put me into a manic state and landed me in a psych ward. I have never had a manic phase before. In the hospital they drugged me up with Geodon and Topamax for my migraines. I was on these meds for 4 days. I stopped the Topomax because my migraines are actually ice pick migraines and they don't last long so I don't feel the need to take a prescription for them. Then the Geodon...
I have only started the Abilify so far on day 3 … I was supposed to start together but I dropped the pristiq bottle and pills fell on floor now because of contamination ocd I can’t take them and insurance won’t pay for a refill yet so doctor says just take the Abilify for now , I’m noticing it is helping me to change my behavior versus the ssri just kinda helped me manage my existing behaviors but never had courage or motivation to change my behaviors so I’m hoping that’s where Abilify will come
