Common Questions and Answers about Yaz and eye problems

Hi, Has anyone had symptoms of mood swings, anger and being unreasonable after starting YAZ Birth Control Pills? My daughter is taking YAZ for her skin but since being on YAZ her good nature has become anything but. Can anyone help? Or is it unrelated?
I had the same thing with the Yaz. I was on Yasmin and switched to Yaz and promptly gained about 5 or more pounds. No problems at all with Yasmin, and I was on it for 5 or more years. I still work out like I did on Yasmin, and I've never eaten a lot, although, the Yaz does make me hungry all the time, and I can't seem to get rid of this bloating. I spot constantly and cramp. I have another friend that is the same way.
currently i am taking cingular, zrytec( not sure on spelling but its the one that has recently gone over the counter) and yaz birthcontrol.. these sympomes with my eye have been happening for the past six years. the medicine above i have only been taking for maybe a year to two years and cingular ive been taking on and off for about 5 years. past medications involve ritalin(sp.
My eyes have become worse this morning, even though I only applied aqeous cream and vaseline to the eye area and face yesterday. The right under eye is especially swollen. Will have to take the day off work again to see the doctor. It still feels very dry. Thanks againfor tour kind help.
Sounds like a neuro-otologist (ENT specializing in the inner ear) would be a good idea too, given your tinnitus and dizziness and eye-movement problems. You are on a lot of medications; I have no idea whether these could be causing some of your symptoms, but the Lhermitte's should be checked out by a neurologist.
My husband had infertility problems on his side too and they told us we would have a 5% chance of getting pregnant without using Invitro. I was on Metformin for about 3 months and lost 15 lb. I also found out I was pregnant (naturally) within 6 months. My daughter will be celebrating her first birthday on the 27th of September. I only gained about 30 lb and was happy that I had lost that 15 before hand. I have also just started Metformin again.
I just started taking Celexa (again) after 2 years of being off it, and have some of the side effects, dizzyness, major sleep problems, and some nausea. they are slowly going away, but you have to remember that they are more present at the beggining and will soon go away, and then you will start to feel better, it may take a few weeks, to over a month, but just give it a chance.
While on the antidepressant my eye became worse and has not improved. I am not sure why this is and doctors have nothing to say about it indeed I am told my right eye has been no good since birth I know this is not true and had eye test to prove it. I am just wanting to warn you other woman that antidepressants after a TIA was a very bad idea for me it did not help the leg pain either so much for that.
i am a 55 year old woman who has extreme anxiety and depression and worry constantly about everything, my children who are all having big big issues in life and my husband who has all sorts of problems can't even go into them all and i just have so many health problems i feel like a complete nuerotic basket case.
My main reason for writing on this post is because I note that many of the women on this post have stated they have not had children, and a couple say they had infertility problems. And those that have said they have had children appear to have only experienced the pain years after childbirth. I have been trying get pregnant for the past 5 years and have had two miscarriages in this time. It was suspected that I might have endometriosis but an op in 2008 was negative.
I have researched both conditions, but PCOS never talks about chronic pain before, during and after menstruating, and pain during and after intercourse. My bowels are very messed up and I get really bad pain in my rectum. That is where my mom had a lot of it. I have no idea. None of my docs will do laparascopy. I have only had one U/S and a very long sharp vaginal probe, I forget what that is called. My blood clots are gigantic and never ending. I need some input from you intelligent ladies!!!
It has been over 4 weeks, and since the healing process has been over I have had a NO problems, and NO MORE BLEEDING! I am so relieved, I have not seen a spot of blood since the surgery and I am able to continue my life as normal!!! I just wanted to give you all an update as I too was lost and confused for many years about this mystery that seems to be quite common and uncomplicated after all...
well i had period problems and i am only 31 had 2 miscarrages over a 2 year period and was devistated i was not preg. i finally went to a gyno who was familiar,, skipped period, headaches, bloating, hair loss, feeling tired,,, i had blood work ..harmones were low.. had something called polycystic ovarian syndrome...
Since all her eye tests and brain MRIs are normal, it seems very unlikely that the peripheral vision loss is due to a neurological lesion or due to an eye issue. Her migraines and peripheral vision loss seem to be related to each other. Peripheral vision loss or tunnel vision is one of the symptoms of migraine. Is she taking any medication for migraine? I would suggest you to try out magnesium supplements which have shown a good activity against migraine headaches.
I had iridotomies a year ago and my vision dropped from 20/20 in both eyes to 20/800 in my left eye and 200/700 in my right eye. I am hardly able to see anything. Iridotomies often lead to uveitis. It's a surgery that should simply be avoided, because it has so many side effects and very seldom prevents a glaucoma attack. It more often provokes it. What could be done to make doctors refrain from this dangerous surgery?
Anyone one else have problems with the pill? I started yaz three months ago due to PMDD.. I recently quit taking it after I found out that it is so bad.. I have gained almost 20 lbs in three months.. I fall asleep at work and constantly yawning.. I have had fainting black out spells, no desire to do anything and no sex drive.. Since I quit Yaz, I am starting to feel much better. My aunt is currently in a blood clot battle from being on yaz. She is about to lose her leg..
The sudden rise of hormones in your body can cause you to have headaches early in pregnancy. Other Explanations: Dehydration, caffeine withdrawal, impending menstruation, eye strain, or other ailments can be the source of frequent or chronic headaches. Frequent Urination: Around 6-8 weeks after conception, you may find yourself making a few extra trips to the bathroom. Other Explanations: Urinary tract infection, diabetes, increasing liquid intake, or taking excessive diuretics.
Thanks so much for your reply & advice. My customer said that because I am young & I have only had strange symptoms for 4 years, that a normal MRI would not be the deciding factor in ruling out MS. My ortho really didn't seem to know what was wrong with my spine. He also seems to think that I am going to need my left hip replaced in the future. He thinks that whatever is wrong with my spine, may have caused my femoral head to flaten.
Hi Everyone and Welcome, Come on in and make yourself cozy. You can do this!
The past 5 years I would only have slight vertigo if I tried to ride in the back seat of a vehicle or positioned my head wrong for a long amount of time. Eye movements would set me off as well, but I could close my eyes for several minutes and it would go away. These episodes lessened over time. Since then, I have had a difficult time with medications. They seem to go straight to my ears (vertigo).
Welcome Tramadol Warriors! Please come on in and make yourself snug and comfy. We're delighted to hear from you! Lots of good nourishing words here Friends!
Ultram set me off into severe visual vertigo, vomitting, heart palpitations, and the feeling as though I was on fire. I was put on Yaz(Estrogen) Dec. 2008 for menstrual cramping. I had to see my primary physician for severe fatigue in January, and began to become sensitive to sound in restaurants that month as well. My head would just not feel right. I had to carry cotton in my purse. In March of this year, I had an amalgam filling put in. No problems right after that.
I'm 50 and perimenopausal. Have had sleep problems and slightly shortened cycles (26 days instead of 33 for the past year or so). But the worst thing has been panic attacks and fear of driving on the freeway! I live in Los Angeles so you can just imagine what a problem it's been! Well, lo and behold, I went on the freeway yesterday and my anxiety has completely disappeared! This is what Yaz has done: 1.
Hi Everyone, Welcome brave Tramadol Warriors ... Come on in and make yourself comfy ... there's room for all!
So you have to keep an eye out on that and keep checking your TSH levels. My problem may be that my TSH is 0.003. That is great for the cancer suppression but not that great for weight loss. Feel good and keep me posted on how you're doing with Cytomel. You should be feeling more energetic since Cytomel takes effect very quickly.
I have been on the pill for 16 years a on the mini pill (Noriday) for about 5 years and had no problems at all, approx a year and a half ago I became quite rubbish at taking it on time (you take it the same time every day with no break) I continued taking it irregularly and it was doing me no good, and of course would be having little effect. So I took the decision to come off of the pill for a while.
But, I'd have to say, that I live a happy life, I work out, write, and have an understanding, and very brave man, and future husband to love me. I have grown used to it, and sort of adapted my life accordingly. It's happened before, after all. At age 13. The day after a dislocated shoulder. The trama caused me to get my very first period. My first period lasted for 6 months straight. Causing the 13 year old me to believe, for some time...
This is all very eye opening! I just started Seasonique a week ago Sunday. I had started my period on Saturday and it was very light. I had missed my period the month before so was concerned I was starting menopause early. The Dr said no, my harmone levels were normal and I should start the pill on Sunday. I woke up in the middle of the night Sunday and started the worst period of my life. I didn't realize someone could lose so much blood.
you up is to simply get you to relax so that you ease out of the tach. Lots and lots and lots of us have it and we are here to post about it and mine started when i was a couple of years younger than you are and i am 55 now and am doing great.....you can be the "squeaky wheel" and call the heart docs office now and tell them you are scared and worried and is there any way they can tell you how the test came out? It is a matter of a simple reading........
goodmorning everyone.. IL you often mention a website...can you give me the address of a good site that explains all the bi-polar types along with symptoms?? I've found a few but they mostly concentrate on BP1 an BP2....and alot of advertising for meds thrown in.
