s thin and active with no family history of any kind of clotting problems. I was on Yaz for six months before developing bilateral pulmonary emboli. I was in ICU for 3 days, the hospital for 2 more and am on blood thinners until October. My hematologist hasn't found a thing that predisposes me to clotting. Look around the internet. It seems like there is an unusually high number of life-threatening Yaz problems. You might want to think twice about this drug. I wish I had.

Hi, I just switched from Yaz .. back to yasmin. Yaz was horrible!!!!! I was very very depressed while taking yaz.. along with many other things. I switched to Yasmin because I was taking it before the Yaz and I had a great experience with it... So far I haven't had any problems with switching.

s causing problems, please switch to another form of the pill or another method! Yaz has had many problems, as it has high levels of certain synthetic hormones, which can negatively affect many people. I'd say get off of Yaz as soon as possible.

I recently saw a commercial on TV about Yaz birth control causing some serious health problems. You should talk to your doctor asap just to make sure this birth control hasn't affected you negatively. I wish you the best of luck!

I've been on both Yazmin and Yaz (a different version of yazmin). Both have done me no favors. Instead of reducing the days I'm on my period it increased it by 3 days, with horrible cramping. Yaz was the strangest for me though. My hormones were very much out of wack, and had absolutely no sex drive whatsoever! I would not recommend it. I have had several friends (4) try Yaz as well and had many problems. Hopefully you have called a doctor about your rash though.

I have been on Yaz for over a year and haven't had a period and hope to not have another one! :) It is very healthy not to have a period due to contraceptives such as these. I was on the Depo shot for 16 years and never had a period during that entire time! I had to stop that because it was causing a little bone-loss, however, with many calcium supplements that is now back to normal. I am a super healthy 35 year old. I have a child.

im currently taking yaz birth control. lately iv been getting real sick and hungry like crazy could it be my pill or something else. im trying to get pregnant but trying to regulate my periods too.

i had the same problems with Yaz. I was on yasmin and when asking for more from my doctor she accidenty wrote yas...not yasmine so i tried it for a few months. it was horrible. I become very depressed and moody, gained weight, had bad acne, and become very paranoid. I switched to levora which i've been on ever since ( 3yrs). My symptoms all went away once i stopped taking Yaz. I'm not sure if it would take 4 months of your hormones to regulate...

I personally would not reccommend you take Yaz since I have heard it causes problems conceiving. I took yaz for about 7 mos and currently have been unable to conceive as of the past 5 mos.

I have been on yaz for 3 months now. I am tired all the time. I can't sleep at night but can't get out of the bed in the morning. I have been have cramps all over my body. My legs,side,face, and every where in my muscles. I went to the Dr for blood work. They said my thyroid is not working right so they did more blood work. I am tired of hurting all the time. This is my first week on these two medications. I was told that I have PCOS a week ago. I was wondering what side effects you have had from these drugs. They started in high school and I have been able to manage them but lately they have become debilitating. I changed birth control pills in October 2007 from Orthonovum to Yaz. Which birth control pill would you reccommend that has less likely hood of causing reduced libido? I tried the Yaz pill and had to go off it after 6 days because I had no desire what so ever for having sex as well as other problems with it. Please help this is a big part of our relationship.
