Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting green stomach

vomiting

Avatar n tn Any other kind of green tea can have additives that your stomach does not like and this may be causing your vomiting. You probably have burst a blood vessel and this may have caused blood in your vomit. Sometimes depending on how hard you cough or vomit this may happen. Hope this helps.
Avatar m tn you might advise her to get her gallbladder checked out. Vomiting bile (can be yellow colored or green) is sometimes not a cause for concern, as if her stomach was empty when she threw up....this would be the reason for bile to come up. Like I said, if all is fine now...no more issues, Id say she is ok....but if it starts happeneing on a normal occasion, might check it out to be safe.
Avatar f tn Hello the green in the stools is most likely from bile or something you have eaten or drank-like green kool-aid or green jello etc. The burning is because your electrolytes are off in your body and with diarrhea you get what is called Metabolic Acidosis. The acid is what causes the burning. It sounds like you have gotten a virus of some sort and it should subside in 24-48 hours. Your stool should return to normal consistency and color after that time too.
Avatar n tn Not every time but on the odd occasion when i have my period i have really bad lower back and stomach pain. I will feel sick and need the toilet constantly and it's not until i am sick and green bile comes up that the pain and sickness goes away... >?

Avatar m tn has anyone suffered from green or brown vomiting. I had ovarian cancer which recurred and i was receiving chemo and then developed a partial small intestine blockage. went to hospital , no food then sent home brought back to hospital for surgery. After surgery developed a fistula which is being treated. Avatar m tn Green vomit could mean she is vomiting bile. Bile is a green substance that is excreted by the liver into the gall bladder then into our intestines to help with digestion. She could have had a gall bladder attack. Is the back pain located by her right shoulder or in-between her shoulder blades? That is a sign of a gall bladder or liver problem. Gall bladder attacks tend to wake people in the middle of the night. She could have passed a gall stone.
Avatar m tn I had an abdominal operation 18 months ago which involved removing a length of large colon (due to volvulus). Now, I get quite frequent (typically one every 2-3 months) severe stomach upsets. I tend to wake up feeling fired and not myself. Gradually I get stomach pains, then eventually painful cramps. I feel extremely ill, nauseus and faint and wake up every 1-2 hours to be sick. I bring up clear gastric juices and finally a large amount (over a pint!
Avatar n tn Hello and hope you are doing well. Since its two weeks post surgery, it's unlikely that vomiting is related to anesthesia. The green colored vomit could be due to stasis of bile. It could be due to gallbladder disease or pancreatitis. Other possible causes of include bowel obstruction, inflammation of the stomach and small intestines from an unrelated source as well as an unrelated intestinal infection.
Avatar f tn So im 14 weeks and im pretty much used to my all day morning sickness of vomiting yellow and clear stuff but today i feel the same crappy feeling but im vomiting green stuff!! And it hurts more on my chest when i throw up what could it be??
Avatar n tn What causes vomiting light green bile, stomach and back pain, having no fever? ER doctors don't seem to know. CT scans and x-rays are unremarkable.
Avatar n tn My son has regular stomach problems about ever 4-6 weeks. His "attacks" hit suddenly, he becomes nauseous then projectile vomits a few times then wretches for a few hours with a severe headache; he's then weak and nauseous for the next few days. Today was a usual case of one of his "attacks" except he is vomiting dark green bile, almost the color of Nyquil - he has never done this before, plus his last "attack" was only 7 days ago.
Avatar m tn I was so focused on the green substance that I missed the part about frequent vomiting for years. I had frequent vomiting for 3 years. Had surgery to repair hiatal hernia and a fundoplication but was still having dry heaves. Was finally treated for small bowel bacterial overgrowth-2rounds of expensive antibiotics but finally felt much better. I still have occasional nausea but never like before. Hope you get some help soon.
Avatar n tn s way up to just beneath my sternum. Once it moves up to my stomach area is when I begin vomiting green bile. I had my gall bladder removed a few years ago and began having similar stomach aches at that time but no vomiting. I was also diagnosed with Crohn's disease last February however have never had such symptoms previously and know that I had Crohn's disease for many years before being diagnosed.
Avatar f tn vomiting did not come in my mouth is that acid reflux or stomach bile which causing green saliva ?
Avatar f tn s worth noting that someone else in my group who never gets sick also was vomiting the next day, so perhaps it was a stomach bug or we ate something. He seems to have recovered fine, though. Anyway, now, five days since my initial puke, I am trying to incorporate some foods and rehydrate because my pee is a pretty deep orange color. This morning I woke up and had my first solid poop but it was a pale yellow/clay color. I immediately panicked wondering if I've permanently messed up my liver.
Avatar f tn He is clearly retching and heaving before he vomits, and his vomit was a small amount of brown/dark green liquid mush. There was no blood or objects. I have already done a little research on the possible causes, but I cannot seem to pinpoint what is actually causing my cat to vomit. I will be taking him to the vet soon, but I would like an idea of what is going on beforehand. Thank you for any help!
Avatar f tn Long history of stomach issues. Last few years I've had eggy burps with stomach pain and vomiting that follows for about 12 to 24 hours. Anyone know what this is??????
Avatar n tn Before that happens vomiting of bile juice (green-yellow coloured vomit) is a symptom. It happened to me after a total colectomy operation over five years ago and I was kept in hospital (with a nasal gastric tube to suck out the stomach contents) until the symptoms had passed and until I could hold down food normally.
Avatar n tn After a bowel movement I noticed a strong pain in my stomach which brought on the vomiting. The pain would not stop until everything in my stomach was out, food or bile. The bowel movement were either semi-formed or soft. Those symptoms occurred only in the mornings within 10-20 minutes of me waking up. Until a week ago when I became nauseous out of the blue in the evening time, which has now become a steady happening. Bowel movements do not always precede the evening sickness however.
Avatar n tn Depending on pup's age, its so severe with young ones on dehydration, the green is bile dumping into stomach, because the stomach is empty, bile goes into stomachs to help churn the food and send on down to the intestines, this is not good. Could have Distemper, need to know that first off, and got to go to vet...puppies showings signs of vomiting down the yellow/then greenish/brownish, need to be check for distemper,,,,,distemper can take a puppy's life... Has your pup got fever???
Avatar f tn The doctor tested him for the flu and advised me he had it. This is day two and he has not gotten any better. His stool is slimy green or plain watery. His fever climaxes then goes down a little. He is six years old and this is my first son. I been giving him water and Gatorade. When I give him food he vomits. Can this be a stomach bacterial infection in which he will need prescribed medication???? I'm scared and just want my baby back!!!! What should I do??
Avatar f tn I cant eat or drink anything. Not even water. Even the thought of it makes me sick. I can be in the middle of eating and all of the sudden, I can't eat it anymore and if I try I can't even chew it up. Just the thought of chewing and swallowing makes me very nauseous. And I am throwing up and gaging even when I'm not eating too. But the symptoms seem to come and go. Because of the not eating enough, I have diarrhea that's green.
Avatar m tn I passed stool twice, both times it was soft and very green in color. That night I went through the same series of events, only without vomiting. My stomach got uncomfortable and I had bad gas. I then had awful diarrhea several times through the night. Very liquid and acidic again. I experience very painful butt burn. There is no blood in the diarrhea. I have had a cough for the last couple days of it. Also, a stinging in my left arm, right above and around the elbow.
Avatar n tn thats really wierd though. i had bad stomach pains and vomiting the doctor thought i had IBS, i ended up finally getting diagnosed with h pylori. if your stomach hurts and your throwing up maybe go to the doctor.
Avatar n tn Subsequent vomiting was primarily dry-heaves which turned to vomiting of yellow/green bile by around 5 am. Every time he vomited you could see his stomach really tighten up. At around 5 am he had a couple of episodes of diarrhea that was very runny. The diarrhea also continued the next day as well. After he started the diarrhea the vomiting seemed to subside which is typical of the previous episodes. The vomiting followed by diarrhea seems to be a pattern.
