Vomiting cat natural remedies

Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting cat natural remedies

vomiting

I looked up the Lysine which seems to be for feline herpes which isn't the issue today. I did find conflicting suggestions"never give your cat aspirin"/ "give your cat tiny amts of aspirin for arthritis pain relief" THAT'S a big dang help. I'll go w/no aspirin. I did find a rec. for 500 mg daily of glucosamine and chondroitin-they said to give w/food to prevent vomiting & diarrhea. Has anyone tried this?
yes that is natural for a cat to want to lick the would as long as she doesn't start picking at the stitches and pulling them out. just watch for the wound so it doesn't become redder and inflamed. that would indicate an infection and be painful for kitty. her appetite will return normally within a couple of days...contact your Vet if it doesn't. After anesthesia it takes a few days to get the appetite going again. good luck and post again if you have more questions.
My daughter is two years old and this past Sunday she woke up vomiting. At the time we thought that most likely she had gotten into some bad food because her Father had picked her up a chicken tenders kids meal late that night when the place was about to close. Well she fell back to sleep that morning and when she woke back up she was fine. She was playing and running and laughing all day. She even rode a carousel! Well that night (Sunday)while she was sleeping she threw up again.
He was a healthy 14 yr old cat that vet thought looked like he was 8yrs old. He had teeth cleaned end of April 2009 and then became constipated and seemed to be losing his appetite. He was then diagnosed with hypertyhroidism. He had been on Wysong uretic dry formula for many years because of urinary problem when he was younger. I know now that this was not the best thing to do long term.
Izzy is a 4 yr old Chihuahua mix that came into our emergency clinic last weekend with bloody diarrhea and vomiting. Her owner had put 4 drops of Rescue Remedy, a homeopathic flower extract, into some water and Izzie drank all of it. The next day, she was lethargic, not eating, and started to have severe bloody diarrhea. She was so weak when she got to our clinic she could not stand up. Poor Izzie’s owner was racked with guilt.
I learned the hard way, that proper diet are everything with our cats. Poor Hissie had to learn it the hard way to. Your daughter's cat and my cat are old, but that does not mean they are not strong. Hissie really went through it the last 6 wks., but she pulled through. I believe your daughter's kitty will as well. I am sure others in this forum will answer your post. There are some wonderful people on here, that were there for me, when my cat was so sick.
00 in vet bills....I am not sure exactly what happened but I only use natural flea remedies now...but its not worth losing my pets over.
I was finally able to a very small meal with out getting or feeling sick! I am definitely going to look into more of the natural remedies for helping pass and break up the stones. I really do dislike relying on medication. I know my post was a little all over the place but I appreciate the replys back. Past few days have been rough and I think I may have had a mini melt down haha. I feel better feeling that my doctor is going to do all he can on his end.
I don't know what your personal migraine experience is, but if natural remedies can control them for you, then that is the best thing you could ever do for yourself. I think it is great that you are relying more heavily on natural medicine and self-healing. In my opinion that is the best way to go, the least damaging on the body and it has helped me personally though quite a few "episodes.
Otherwise, you can try using one of the herbal calmers that has skullcap in it. Skullcap is a natural opiate; a better option to nasty pain pills that can cause your cat emotional distress. Just be sure to administer it orally, as the in water dosage is really to difficult to monitor for any real success. I would suggest going on one of the pure meat diets that are out there with a vitamin supplement.
I have a 6 year old boy who for the past two months has had sometimes visable blood in the stool foul smelling stool and gas, loss of appitite some vomiting and weight loss he has a ced rate of 22 he also has a past history of polyps which were removed with a colonoscpy one was 4.by 2.5 (large) less than a year ago .
The vet told me it would open up and cause an infection and as gross as this is the skin is dying so it is odorous. I have to bandage my cat like a person and clean it everyday. My cat still eats and plays like nothing as wrong. As gross as this tumor is the surgery is so expensive with not a good chance of survival. I opted not to do the surgery and they told me as long as I can handle the grossness of the tumor and as long as my cat still ate and played I wouldnt have to put him down.
and they've done every sort of scan. CT, CAT, MRI, XRAY...as well as that thing where they hook the electrodes up to your head and monitor brainwave activity..and aside from noticing that my brain activity was higher when I had a migraine they had nothing conclusive from any of the tests except to say no tumors..so useful, right?
Holistic Vets (and Homeopathic Vets have more training/additional coursework beyond traditional Vet school that teaches them the importance of nutrition and natural remedys in treating your pet). This extra coursework certifies them to be listed as a Holistic or Homeopathic Vet. (Homeo pathic vets have generally done even more coursework than Holistic Vets).
Plus a couple other things. My vet is completely on board with trying some natural remedies like the Denasyl (milk thistle). Al his other blood work is completely normal and no other symptoms of anything being wrong. I will let you know the results in two weeks!
In october, went to dr because of running fever and vomiting. Found blood in my urine and diagnosed me with kidney infection even though didn't have signs like burning sensation when urinating. Have had all tests done: barium enema, upper gi tests, hida-scan, other tests for gallbladder and liver. All blood tests are normal.
She also told me I was allergic to my cat (who slept with me) Got the cat out of the bedroom - did a thorough vaccuming of house (with a Rainbow Vac) put my pillows etc in hot dryer for 1 hour - and kept my house cold (I like it that way anyhow) AFter awhile I stopped using the inhaler and have not been sick since. Now its coming up again. I got another cat in the house now. It may be my cat.
Hello Tammy: If you'd like to e-mail me directly, I may be able to offer some herbal (natural) recommendations which may help him.
eggy/sulfuric burps (Hydrogen sulfide), the nastiest burps you could ever have, adbominal pain (always follows after I've started burping), vomiting and diarrhea (the vomiting and diarrhea are not always the same in intensity). The doctors are stumped. We have tried Acid-Reflux medication (which I have also), then tried some other things and nothing worked. This sickness keeps coming back and back and back again.
00 later after another vet who said they never heard of this - anti-flamatory pills and told to take beneadryl. Also said to try throat stuff for cat (fur balls) Tried all 3 of these things - just got back from a walk and back to square one. Allergies got to play in this. After an episode she is always super congested.
Once 2 years ago, after vaccination my dog suffered 2 days of diarrhea and vomiting. And she is a healthy fit dog. She was fine afterwards, but it scared me. I was CONVINCED it was intimately connected with those shots, and the fact that she is getting older. I think it overloads their immune systems. That was my wake-up call. Yet people don't know what to do for the best, and resort to trusting their vets about it. It sounds as if your Oscar was one of the unlucky ones.
I have a dog that is not doing well, and I just don't know if I want to put her down or just let her go natural. If I can keep her comfortable, I am going to try to go that route. I have really struggled with this because I didn't know if it was because I did not like seeing her in the state she is in now, and I thought that is not a reason to do it. As long as you want to, you keep her with you. I guess is what I am trying to say.
I had a miscarriage and a Dnc. Then a week later I passed out and my headaches began. I have had blood work, a cat scan and all came back normal. I was sent to a neurologist and told it is a hormone induced migraine. It was been going on for almost 3 weeks. He started to on a steriod pill and some supplements to stop the cycle of the migraine. Until the miscarriage and DNC I had never had one. Sorry for your lose and the pain you are in.
My biopsy revealed that my load is seven-million, my genotype is 1b, further I have grade three stage two inflammation and a cat scan revealed some fatty deposits that were present on my liver. When I say depression I mean Chronic-pain caused; lose your wife to infidelity, lose your job, lose your friends, motorcycle accident, lose your house and have to file bankruptcy depression. It kicked my keester!
We were back to the hospital again last weekend due to the numbness and another fainting spell. Neurologist ran CAT Scan and head MRI (both normal). Heart doc dismissed all symptoms as "normal". We are currently seeing a herbal doc that has her on mega doses of C, E, B-100, Magnesium, Omega-3, calcium and a daily multi. This illness has not been terribly debilitating. However, she cannot drive (passes out) and she has been increasingly having more severe "episodes".
I would love to take the effexor and be done with it, but something inside of me is saying to try the natural herbal way first. Stress can kill people way before their time and I'm way to happy with my life (except for my health) so I want to be here for a while. This website is helpful. It was so hard for me to trust the chiropractor, I wanted to stop after the first week, but he has made a huge difference! Keep me updated on you too!
