avelox

Avatar f tn I saw in a previous question that Tobramycin might be substituted for Vigamox (which is MUCH cheaper). Can you suggest a cheaper substitute for Nevanac? I had asked the nurse for more samples, but she refused saying they wouldn't have enough for the other patients. Thanks!
Avatar f tn I went to see her last Monday. No improvement for the dot but my eyes fell better than saturday. I went back yesterday, no improvement so she send me to the eye doctor specialist. She told me to take Vigamox every 2h instead of 4. When I read the trial on Vigamox the patient took the drug 3x a day and see efficacy after 4-5days. For me it had been 5 now 6 days. I am kind of scare and I don't know if they know what I have exactly.
Avatar m tn t burn your eyelids) on your eyelids for 5-10 minutes every night followed by scrubbing of your eyelashes with warm water and a Q-tip (this is meant to decrease the amount of bacteria on your eyelashes before the surgery). After this, you should place lubricating gel or ointment (meant for dry eyes) before you go to bed. This should make your symptoms better within 2 days.
Avatar m tn I used to wear contacts every day for about eight to ten hours a day and then I'd take them out at night. I did this for about eight years and never had any problems until about a year and a half ago. In November 2009, I was diagnosed with pink eye and was given vigamox. About a day later I had to go to the emergency room because I was covered in a rash and having problems breathing. After that, my eye doctor took me off the vigamox and gave me a new prescription eye drop.
Avatar n tn I saw my Doctor he put numbing drops in my eyes and did a slit light test, then prescribed me acular and vigamox, directed me to two different OTC drops ( one which is almost gel like ). Told me that I had a cut with scar tissue and that it would be a long and painful healing process. I was told not be in the wind or under a fan, always have on sun glasses when outside, and keep light dim while inside. He said it would probably take eight to twelve weeks to heal.
Avatar f tn Hello, I'm being treated for "bacterial Keratitis" on the left eye. I've had the infection for about two weeks. I waited a long time to see a doctor because I don't have insurance and I thought it was pinkey and would heal on it's own. I was wrong. I finally went at cost of $140. I was diagnosed and given vigamox (4 x day) and Tobradex. The doctor insisted I come back the next day to check my pupil after dilated. So, I paid another $140 for that exam.
Avatar n tn i have shown my condition to 3 doctyors and have taken different eye drops begining with VIGAMOX and more recently ZEDATIN and FML forte. my left eye appears smaller than the right eye, it is very red in the lower part of the eye as well as in the sides. these symptoms are present in the left eye as well but are not as severe. i also experience itching and irritation in both eyes from time to time. SHOULD I START LOTEMAX? will it be effective?

Avatar f tn Now I am scheduled for cataract surgery, and in the presurgical packet I received this weekend, there is an rx for Vigamox, even though I requested that a note about the Cipro/Vigamox problem be placed in my file. I know the fluoroquinolones are appealing to docs because they are so tremendously effective, but for people who cannot tolerate them, are there acceptable substitutes?
Avatar m tn Sir Houman Vosoghi, MD - will provide you photographs of my eyes ... and will asked my doctor .for the type of dystrophy from which i am suffering...Sir ..is it possible that i will get your e mail to send my eyes photographs to you ...
Avatar m tn Could the blue top bottle drops be for swelling? My eyeball was very tender and sore for a couple weeks after surgery. I took my doctors advice. Just wondering what my friend may have heard.
Avatar f tn I am no Dr. but I believe in 3 years the Vigamox might lose it's effectiveness. If it were me, this is one area I wouldn't cut back on because Vigamox is CRITICAL for your eye health after eye procedures. You don't want to kick yourself if your eye heals with complications. I too am always tring to save money where I can, but I would do without a new pair of shoes, jeans, or something else instead...just my two cents.
Avatar f tn My doctor gave me terramycin ointment (4 times daily) and vigamox drops (3 times daily) to treat conjunctivitis in both eyes. However, when applying terramycin ointment for the first two days, my eyes became more uncomfortable (watery, more discharge) and red. Is this is good sigh for healing? or should I stop usage?
1415174 tn?1453243103 He gave me Vigamox drops every two hours and Bacitracin ointment for night time. I am having a lot of side effects from the Vigamox (irritation, watery eye, itcy, pain etc. and very red eye). But that is not the biggest problem. I tried the Bacitracin for two nights. Last night I up and saw that my eye was very swollen.
Avatar m tn hy, 2 weeks ago i had cxl treatment for keratoconus. my doctor prescribed me to use vigamox and tobradax 4 times a day for 5 days and after flu she prescribed me to take these drops for 1 week.

That's really hard taking such eyedrops, As of now, he doing his check up (from every other day, now its everday already). I want to know how long will i take to cure that infection.
1231260 tn?1267565314 Dr Yao. she is taking VIGAMOX SOL 0.5% THROUGH HER EYES. Is pink eyes disease or system is from playing with dirty people? 'or not wash hand, and touching her eyes? would this pink eyes return in the future? because I'll don't want her to play with this girl any more, she show my princess her legs, was bitten by bed bugs, of cause the mother of my princess, refuse to admit it was her neighbor daughter Hygene.
Avatar m tn He has Medicare and pays out of pocket for medications. The ophthalmologist prescribed Xibrom (cost $200 for 5 ml), Vigamox (almost $100) for him to take for 3 days prior to surgery and a steroid was added to them for post op. I'm a licensed prescriber myself and I know that there are generics which are much less expensive. However, I'm not an ophthalmologist. I wonder if the name brand medications are truly necessary.
Avatar f tn i had cataract sursery 9 months ago, have been noticing poorer vision, was diagnosed with 'dry eyes'. Have been using Restasis for two weeks now, eyes seem irritated, are red, I need to blink a lot. Is this normal? Will this go away if I have to use this product for the rest of my life? How is this helping me?
Avatar f tn When I went to see him he got a swab and went over the bumb attempting to flatten it out. My eye went red again. He told me to use vigamox for a day then return to the Zylet for another week. It's been a few weeks now and I can still see the bump since it hasn't gone away. The doctor says I should go see a USC doctor. I don't have insurance and a consultation costs 500-1500. I already spent a couple hundred on doctors and drops.
Avatar m tn I followed up the next day and they said it looked like everything was getting better and they gave me some anti-swelling and sauve for at night. Everything got better for me and I went off the drops like the doctor told me to. Now one week after stopping the drops the eye is blurring up again. I was told I had a ulcer on my cornea but researching seems to show that that involves pain, which I have not had.
