Vigamox on dogs

Common Questions and Answers about Vigamox on dogs

Avatar n tn One should never use a prescription medication on someone (something) for which it does not have a medical doctors approval. It is always wrong to assume a medication for a human can double for use on dogs and other animals. Some are toxic. This noted, there are in fact cases of over-the-counter and home-remedies that humans use that can be used on a dog, but not until one knows it is in general done with good success. Don't be the test case.
Avatar f tn I took him to his pediatrician and he ruled out pink eye and an object in his eye. He gave us a prescription for the eye called vigamox, which is a strong antibiotic, and said he had some kind of allergic reaction to something. The swollen eye went down after a day and the redness was slowing disappearing. I also took him to an eye specialist the other day and he ruled out anything serious and said he may simply have allergies.
