Common Questions and Answers about Vicodin with red spots

vicodin

I know that an alcoholic will get a red nose from drinking, but I am trying to find out if anyone else has experienced this from taking vicodin. They aren't pinpoint red spots like I've been reading about under liver congestion/toxicity websites, but are sometimes pimple like in appearance and others are just flat red spots. I read people who take more than I do on a daily basis but have never seen this topic before. Also, people who do take up to 8 5.
i have been on vicodin 7.5 for 4 months ....taking sometimes 2 a day...just stopped today...how long does the withdrawal take...i am very new to all of this.
I live 4000 miles away, but came to stay with him and have found his situation frighteningly dramatic. He also is covered with red spots all over his arms and legs. Is this a side effect from too much hydrocodone? I think he has what is called an addictive personality. He had been an alcoholic for many years and was also taking antidepressants, anxiety pills, sleeping pills and now he's on hydrocodone. I'm not sure how many pills a day he takes.

I've almost accepted the fact that after 6 1/2yrs I WILL be living with physical pain for the rest of my life. Vicodin highs help me more mentally and emotionally than what it does physically. STRESS, my job functions, weather, female problems, and being the sole caretaker of my stroke-born son only makes the pain worse. That is why my 1st doc told me to live with the pain, easier said than done,2nd and 3rd doc says stay on vicodin since I'm a LonG TERM USER.
They are all available with different amounts of tylenol but vicodin usually comes in 5mg hydrocodone/500mg tylenol or 7.5mg/750mg. norcos are usually 10mg/325mg and lortab are available in a very wide range of hydro./acetaminophen(tylenol) combinations and some combined with asprin instead of tylenol. Liquids are available also.
The rash is red and blotchy and looks a lot like hives except that there is no swelling and the red spots/patches are not raised. I showed my mom and she said she doesn't think it's hives because of that. But other than that detail it does look like pictures of hives but I guess it's not so I don't know what it is. I never knew that you could suddenly become allergic to something that you never were allergic to in the past. That is what you're saying isn't it?
on the left sife of my shaft there seems to be a small red patch. No more than half an inch with 2 small raised bumps. The bumps are pinkish as is the red patch (molluscum?). I also have what appears to be moluscum on my right middle finger above the top knuckle. Its a single round flesh colored/clear bump with a crater type center. Bigger than the pinkish bumps which reside in the red area on my penis but similar looking. The bump on finger is small but easily visible and hard.
Tide kills me with an terrible itch- clothes bright- nuts bright red. Avoid. Instead I have used Dreft baby clothes soap, and Arm and Hammer with color safe bleach. Top rated and does not leave soap in your underwear that will affect you. Boxers are better than briefs as they keep you from getting hot, sweaty and itchy. At least go to larger briefs- Let your package dangle. Most important. Drink lots of water. Glasses and glasses a day.
I have had chronic rhomboid muscle pain on the right side for 10 years, and have seen numerous MD's(MRI with no significant problem found), Chiropractors (Adjustments & pressure point message), Physical Therapists (waste of money) and a Neurologist that is currently performing acupuncture. I self medicate with Ibuprofen, and sleep on an ice pack every night.

Then later on, he sniffles a lot, his body is itchy, nods off and on during the day, vomiting/nausea, makes frequent trips to the bathroom. I noticed red spots on his arm and several needle tracks. When he naps, his arms and legs twitches. He's very quiet with me and has denied his drug addiction so I don't bring it up anymore. He always has been quiet with me, we bond over non-drug related stuff and our friendship is distant as he has chosen a new circle of friends.

Joint of littlest toe on right foot is red and swollen, painful. Vicodin cream prescribed for left foot helps. Jan 14-18: Virus? Vomiting. Jan. 15: Rheumatalogist says MRI of left foot and blood work are both inconclusive, but because symptoms and some tests point to an "inflammatory process," he prescribes sulfasalazine. How she reacts to the medication will help to indicate if inflammation is truly problem, or not. Jan.

Well, I took a Vicodin and it didn't get rid of the pain. At least not during the first hour, although the time between the pulses of pain got longer. But at that point I fell sound asleep! I mean totally zonked, for 9 hours. Me, the insomniac extraodinaire! I know Vicodin doesn't last that long, but maybe it enabled me to get to a level of sleep that began to touch my deep fatigue, even exhaustion, and nature took over from there. I hope that's what happened, anyway.

problem, too, along with redness every morning. I had a thorough eye exam and was diagnosed with strabismus secondary to a probable Ehler Danlos Syndrome diagnosis. I couldn't see a thing close up due to double vision so now I have glasses with prisms in them and, eureka!!! I can see close up now without double vision. I was also given "Blink thera tears" to use for the dry eye dx. Are you dealing with EDS as well?
I don't know thats just what they called them. I saw they pictures from the proceedure they did and it was just red spots. In my case the asprin adn ibuprofin I saw taking + smokiing was just basically eating up my stomach. They did a "Scope" where they put you to sleep and put a itty bitty camera down your throat to look in your stomach. You don't feel a thing. Then they told me the results and I just have to take medicine twice a day.

Ingrown hairs, not coiled hairs, growing under the skin length wise, sometimes for 4 or more inches. I get red spots that become sore, filled with clear fluid and can get a burning/itching feel to them. 90% of the time these will have an ingrown hair in them and sometimes a small white balled up hair root that will have a hair inside of it. The hairs are usually abnormal, they can be super flat, thin, thick, you name it.
As far as the red spots, they are in your thighs or stomach and a couple of little red spots won't hurt anything. I have a whole collection of them, helps to remind me what leg to do each week.:) It does get better and you couldn't find a better bunch of people for support than here.
My vision does seem to return to normal after resting about 30 minutes or so. Pain (boring) behind eye with pain in face, sinuses, down into neck relieved only with Vicodin and Flexeril. (Monday left side and Wednesday right side). Also this week (feeling that neck) being forced to the right with pain. Paresthesias and pain particularly right worse this week. Note: I have noticed when at rest and not using right hand, a clenched fist tightly around my thumb.
For me it requires more meetings and avoiding most of these events. I surround myself with healthy sober people. I go for many walks in the summer along with bike riding and i cant forget about the late night fishing at the water plant!! Gotta throw this one in too......Im going to be a grandma to a baby girl in August. I am truely grateful to being clean and sober.

But it is ugly! The area where the nail was has a kind of whitish material with some red spots and it still oozes some serous fluid at times. It doesn't look like a scab that you get when you cut yourself so I'm sure it this is what it is supposed to look like. But I slept well and I am almost off Ibupropin. I am tapering because it usually gives me a bad headache if I go off all at once. Tomorrow with be the 4th day after surgery.
what I basically want to get information on is the type of medication I should stick with, and strategies to maintain efficacy.
