Avatar f tn One more thing, by maintaining my cigarette habit/addiction does anyone think this wouldn't keep the addict mind alive or would I be a ticking time bomb by keeping this tobacco habit? I don't want to give up tobacco I didn't want to with weed but I did just to get that need of high feeling away.
Avatar m tn Tobacco and cannabis are always bad for you, every organ of your body and not something you should ask for permission to do.
Avatar m tn about a week ago i started smoking 1-2 small ciggarettes of cannabis mixed with tobacco, it helps me relax and forget my problem. i know smoking is bad for my condition, my question is the amount of smoking i do considered "real" smoking that can affect my situation more badly than the bennefits i get from it?
Avatar f tn so pretty much she is asking if it's okay to smoke a couple joints a day..
Avatar f tn However, frequent cannabis use, combined with frequent tobacco use, can certainly lead to an increase in mucous production and cam make mucous less viscous (more thick and sticky), as well as coughing, bronchitis (specifically from tobacco and moldy weed, which is more common than most people realize), and a slew of other respiratory symptoms.. I mean no offence to those of you who suffer daily from the discomfort of PATM, I am merely expressing my opinion.
Avatar m tn Hoping for some advise here as I do not currently have access to a health professional. I have been a heavy smoker for 25yrs. Both tobacco and marajuana. 14 months ago I quit cigarettes. But continued to smoke marajuana until 1 month ago. I had a strange pain in my right side of my chest with pins and needles down my right arm. Since quitting cold turkey it has gotten slightly better, but it still freaking me out to hell.

Avatar m tn Smokeless tobacco products come in different forms but are not a safe substitute for tobacco smoking. These can still cause cancer and other health problems such as mouth, tongue, and throat cancer; cancer in the esophagus; increased risk of heart disease, heart attacks, and stroke; addiction to nicotine; leukoplakia; receding gums; bone loss around the roots of the teeth; tooth loss; stained teeth and even bad breath. It is important that you weigh all the pros and cons.
Avatar m tn I have been chewing tobacco from the past 5 years. I also had a drug abuse problem and I was very successful at stopping that. Tobacco should be easier but for some reason, it seems more difficult! Any advice I can get here?

Avatar m tn m now 17 i have read many of these threads an they all seem to talk about marijuana not being bad besides the munchies fact, but i want to know if inhaling marijuana smoke (emphasis on the smoke) is less or more harmful than tobacco smoke. because seeing as how tobacco smoke messes with blood circulation, blood pressure, and that smoke hardens your nerves and arteries. i want to know if the marijuana smoke is any different or less detrimental to type 1 diabetics.
Avatar n tn It can cause chest pain in people who have a poor blood supply to the heart - and it produces these effects more rapidly than tobacco smoke does. Scientists believe that marijuana can be especially harmful to the lungs because users often inhale the unfiltered smoke deeply and hold it in their lungs as long as possible. Therefore, the smoke is in contact with lung tissues for long periods of time, which irritates the lungs and damages the way they work.

Avatar m tn You have to have the tobacco in the hookah in order to smoke from it. Hookahs are formly known as pipes for tobacco and other uses(i'm sure your fimilar with it) lol They pretty much do have the same effect as cigarettes but smoking from a hookah is much harsher!! If you've smoked from them before then you know what i mean--if not, give it a whirl...never hurts to try something new!
Avatar f tn Cigarette smoke contains 60 carcinogens while smokeless tobacco contains 28. Smokeless tobacco is BY NO MEANS safe, and the risk of oral cancer DOES exist, but it is LESS than smoking.
1268301 tn?1270348507 I have done my research on the damage that Tylenol can inflict on your Liver. I have been abusing Percocet and Vicodin for the better part of two years. I have NEVER gone over the 4,000 mg. limit in 24 hours. I think I may have went a bit over a couple of times but it was only by like a couple of hours. I also have not been eating right, and I have been smoking a lot of Tobacco during my addiction which I know can add to the danger of Liver damage.
Avatar m tn I started to think that maybe his hands had some of his fluids that stayed over the paper and maybe I could then smoke them (remember that he touched his penis to urinate) . He also manipulated my tobacco and I think that maybe my tobacco is infected right now and I don´t want to smoke it again .Also we smoked in my pipe sometimes that day (It was last sunday). I´m aware of my mental disorder but in case I want your professional opinion: 1-Am I at risk of HIV or any other STD by this ?
Avatar n tn If you chew tobacco, you have bigger problems than oral herpes. Chewing tobacco is like oral cancer waiting to happen. It's more likely than not related to your habit. Consider chewing gum instead of tobacco.
Avatar m tn I am 28 and have used chewing tobacco for probably 5 years. Last night, I noticed this bump on my inner lip. I'm not going to be able to see a doctor until next week. Obviously, I'm concerned about the obvious, cancer. Can anyone give their thoughts as to whether my concerns are valid? P.S. I tossed out my tin. I'm done with this stuff whether this bump is serious or not.
