sore throat, hard to eliminate mucus in throat, hoarse voice, pain in my tongue/mouth, and--rarely--pain in my back and upper stomach. I tried to go on once-every-two-days, as per his second recommendation, and while the symptoms are better, the aforemention symptoms are still there. From what I've read, I hear a "rebound" time is normal when getting off of PPI's. I'd been on either Prevacid or Nexium since March 2008 (November 2008 as of this writing).

i opened a can of baked beans, took a spoonful and since then I have a bitter after taste on my upper tongue. It has been 7 days now....anything I eat.

My condition doesnt seem to be any of those causes. it seems to be clusters of canker sores. possibly due to excess chewing of Dentyne Fire gum. the irritation caused by the spicy gum, produced the now apparent sores and the grooved texture. im rinsing with salt water and bearing the pain until hopefully it clears up. I have a very balanced diet, 80% vegetarian, and take a multivitamin everyday. its unlikely to be vitamin issue.

I honestly don't know. I had sex with somebody while drunk and I don't think we used a condom. I can't ask him as I don't have his info. Classy eh ! 2 weeks after I get 6 ulcers on my tongue that just won't go, my tongue feels on fire. I read that mouth ulcers where a symptom of ARS and I freaked out. Are they? I know I need to test and I will but these ulcers are worrying me a lot.

Does burnt food inhalation harm unborn baby? I accidentally burnt beans and it stank the whole house . its still smells ! I'm inhaling it , is it harmful ?

I have been dealing with a great deal of discomfort in my inner thighs and mouth over the past year or so. I have been religiously looking at websites to find anyone else that has the same symptoms and it seems that some come close, but not spot on. I understand outbreaks look different for everyone, but I haven't read that anyone has my same symptoms. I have gone to the doctor and he says what I have looks viral, but he's not sure and the medicine he prescribed didn't help.

i have had a sore tongue for 4 years,i have a couple of flair ups a year, iv seen several doctors who have done blood tests and i have been given antibiotic,my dentist has said my teeth and gums are very healthy.all my tests have come back normal,at the moment the tip of my tongue is sore with a little cut,i have been using a antiseptic mouth wash it calmed it down for a little while but its getting sore again,my doctor has said i will have to live with it.

No more tongue on fire.

4 years in the military so i not much of a believer in coincidence. If you could provide intel on the geo tongue and if its an indicator of anything, and the info from the tests i was able to take. I should be back in the US in about a month which will make 4 months and am gonna have a doc do a EIA, but i wanted to know how much confidence there is in a 4 week non reactive EIA, and a 10 week oraquick.

Does ARS cause a your tongue to become painful and a little swollen? And does ARS cause identical symptoms for two people that a possible HIV exposure?

Contractions were a breeze for me. I went all natural. It was the pushing part that hurt the worst. The ring of fire was horrible. But i pushed the hardest during the burning and she was out after 2 contractions that equaled 8 pushes.

2 years ago i noticed my left side of my tongue swollen. i have seen 2 ents and a gastroentinologist with no answers. on line i have seen chinese medicine sight that say my tongue is likely related to my liver. do others have this issue or have you heard of it at all?

t laugh, if you do not get enough of the B vitamins, one of the symptoms is a sore tongue, and if left untreated by not taking them, it can get worse. I would try taking a good, food grade B vitamin complex, also, get some Brewers yeast, it can be obtained at any health food store, this is chock full of all the B vitamins, amino acids and other important nutrients and minerals. It taste good too, I love it on cottage cheese.

I also get extremely thirsty and can easily go thru 4 or 5 bottle of water in an hour and i also get a craving for sugar like jelly beans or gatorade. I also find myself going to the bathroom every 10 mins both urinating and bowel movements. These symptoms go away and come back until i get out of work and can take a nap. My nap usually lasts for about 10 mins. When I get home I take a hot shower and then feel 100% till i go to sleep.

Of course my face is still swollen, which is to be expected, but my tongue on the left side is still numb. My tongue still feels like is did the day of surgery. Which is scary--how long should I expect this? When will the sensation return to normal? Please reply, getting worried.

I had an apple for breakfast, and 5oz can of tuna, a 15oz cold can of seasoned Lima beans, and now it is gone, and there is no more blood and it looks like a tiny dot, I wonder if this had anything to do with the high ingredient of Lysine.

I have an episodic tingling on the front of my tongue that also seems to be coupled with redness and burning. I also have weird red patches that straddle both sides of the tongue that appear for a week or two at a time, and they may appear once every month or so. I've had weird issues with my tongue for several years at least. But the tingling started happening when my other tingling started about a year ago, so they are definitely correlated.

I've had a sore throat for three months with no other symptoms. In April, I went to Urgent Care, because it felt like my throat was on fire it was so unbelievably sore. After being tested I was told that I thankfully do not have strep throat. She prescribed me medication called Loratadine, which I began taking once a day and suggested taking a Benadryl every night before bed.
