vaginal strep A, nausea, discharge and spotting post menopausal, thickening of the uterus, bloating with lower left side pain under rib cage. Any thoughts?

I have an enlarged uterus too. At one point it measured the size of a 16-week pregnancy. My gyn said it's not uncommon for peri/menopausal women, especially those who have had kids, c-section or any other surgical procedure. Many women don't even notice any effects of the increased size and therefore no treatment is necessary. Since I had symptoms, my gyn suspected I have Adenomyosis.

In April in my quest to figure out why I felt crummy I had my thyroid checked and my TSH levels were .85; then again (by my Rheumatologist) on July 17 and they were 3.97 and then (by my OBGYN because I still felt crummy) on July 30 and they had risen to 5.12 (my T3F was 3.84 with a normal range of 1.0-40.0, and my T4F.885 with a normal range of .300-6.0) At the end of April when trying to get my thyroid checked I was diagnosed with Lupus and Fibromyalgia from the full blood panel they took.

Thyroid is a big one, I have hypothyroidism, and it's very common for pregnancy symptoms. Just because your last pregnancy didn't show positive on a HPT til 3 months, doesn't mean this one will, at all, every pregnancy is different, so I agree, order some blood work!

Is it normal to experieince mild cramping/pressure in your uterus at 6DPO? I am currently 8DPO but the pressure has occurred on and off for the past 3 days. I know it is too early to be a "pregnancy" symptom but thought it might be a good sign of implantation. Any feedback on this one?

my sister in law was told that by her acupuncturist .. chinese believe in heat and cold as diagnoses .. you want to warm up your body so you will increase blood flow to the uterus. she started wearing warm socks all the time and keeping her head warm too .. also added lots of ginger to all meals and tea to get warmed up from the inside .. after 6 months of acupuncture and warming up, at nearly 42 she conceived .. she is now 4 weeks away from delivery!

So I have been told that I have a fibroid in my uterus and out has been hurting me soo bad that I can barely walk...I saw my dr and all they gave me was some ibuprofen and it hadn't helped at all..anyone ever had this and have suggestions?

t have any of the usual symptoms, although kinda fatigued lately, but my mother has developed an under active thyroid in old age. I've read that the uterus rises above the navel after 20 weeks. So if I had a transvaginal ultrasound at 14-16 weeks, would the tech still be able to see the entire uterus and see my baby in there? Or is there a possibility that my uterus is too far "up" and they could have missed it and/or not seen it?

now after having the breast cancer and a bilateral mastectomy , thyroid probs and non stop periods they want to give me some curette procedure where they scrape your uterus and check for abnormalities. my intra vag ultrasound says this and can someone plz decipher it for me: endometrial thickness of 13.6mm non specific heterogeneous echotexture of the uterus with 2 simple cysts noted at the myometrial- endometrial junction measuring 3.4 mm in diameter.

Cyst on or in the uterus or on the ovary? Fibroids and polyps are the more typical growths found in the uterus. Symptoms can vary greatly. Did you have an ultrasound and do you have a copy of the report?

The pathology results were internal unterus had cancerous cells, outer uterus had dysplasia. I am a 43year old who first had a cone biopsy at age 21 due to abnormal/pre-cancerous cells. I went on to have one more child via c-section and endured every possible treatment there is before finally getting the hysterectomy.

I had Radioactive Iodine in 1987 to complete kill my thyroid on the left due to hyperthyroidism ...... i had normal values ever since.....but in 2006 on a chest xray they found a nodule and I went to my endocrinologist who did the sonogram and found the thyroid had grown back.. now come on ... plus I had to have it removed due to follicular adenoma....and now of course i have two large nodules in my right gland both measure over 2 cm each.. I just think it is so funny....

They insert a catheter into the uterus and inject dye into the tube. This is done in radiology. This is an important test to do in the infertility work up.

Can uterine fibroids and/or ovarian cysts cause sciatica-like symptoms? I've had burning/stinging/stabbing pain in both glutes, hamstrings, calves and feet for 6 years. I've tried everything under the sun to get rid of the pain (long-term physical therapy, steroid injections into L4-L5 disc and piriformis muscle, yoga, deep tissue massage, rolfing, acupuncture, etc) but nothing has helped.

0 What if anything would my thyroid and liver play into the ovarian cysts and/or thickened uterus? Everything I have read essentially says I should not necessarily have immediate cause to think cancer...that this could simply be hormonal, etc. Of course I am worried like any woman would be, but I'm also VERY VERY curious and questioning my WHOLE health picture since I obviously have other areas of concern going on.

The appointment is to go over my CT and ultrasounds finding on fluid in the uterus, cysts and endometrial tissue. I also have cysts and nodules in my breast, calcifications and a nodule in my thyroid. All small and do able. These spells are upsetting though and starting to interfere with my life. I'm actually leery of driving anywhere in which is causing stress. If she even suggest anxiety I will scream. LOL It is "causing" anxiety though. Thank you all again.

Hormonal swings and ESPECIALLY thyroid problems CAN cause these types of symptoms!!! Please update me! I'd love to know what your doc has to say about these possibilities!

Hi there, I just have a question. I had a hysterectomy (just uterus) 10 years ago. At the time, my doc told me that I had a lot of endometriosis on my ovaries and he wanted to take them as well. But, since I did not sign the consent form he left them in and lasered off what he could. He told me that it would likely return in a few years. Fast forward to the other day at my annual exam. New doctor said she felt a large mass on my left ovary and has ordered a vaginal sonogram a week from now.

I agree, I don't think this auto immune illness should be managed by diet alone. I agree with meds when needed 100%. If you don't have crazy side effects, why wouldn't you take them if they help you. The isthmus measure 2mm. The thyroid gland is heterogenous in echotexture. In the midpole of the right thyroid lobe there is a 9mm nodule which is hyperechoic relative to the surrounding thyroid parenchyma. No abnormalities are identified in the surrounding tissues. IMPRESSION: Small heterogenous thyroid gland. A 9mm midpole right thyroid nodule. I have no idea what this means. Can anyone give me an idea?

Have you done a home pregnancy test? PMS symptoms tend to hang around in the early part of a pregnancy. If you find it is negative and your period is still late, it could be an ectopic pregnancy (one outside the uterus usually in a fallopian tube) and that needs attention immediately. The other issue could be a thyroid problem. Hypo thyroidism can stuff up periods. Have you been checked for that?
