Avatar f tn Is it the frequent urination? If so, have you been tested for urinary tract infection and/or other urinary or prostate issues? If you're asking for help with your hypothyroidism, please post current thyroid test results, which should include Free T4, Free T3 and TSH. Be sure to include reference ranges with any test results posted. Also, please tell us if you have Hashimoto's and any symptoms you might have.
Avatar f tn You should get these tests to rule stuff out - blood test - for thyroid, diabetes, CBC and vitamins too. You could be tired for thyroid or diabetes or vitamin deficiency. STart taking vitamins. Get a cat scan or ultrasound. You could have back pain from kidney/gall stones too. It could be an easy thing so dont pain. Cancer for ovarian is CA125 blood test - ask if they will do that too. Always get copies of your reports and tests and ask them to be explained to you.
Avatar f tn I had no pain or burning during urination. However, I tested positive for a urinary tract infection and began on pyridium and bactrim. My symptoms did not improve so I began on Levaquin for 10 days. Since then I have had an ultrasound of my kidneys, ovaries, and bladder, and everything was normal. My labwork was also normal. My symptoms did not improve and I began on Vesicare, which did not help, and now I am on Detrol LA. This does not seem to be helping either.
Avatar f tn can you have a urinary tract infection with no burning? the only symptoms were frequent urination and very slight pressure in my bladder area. i thought you would have to have some burning or pain.
Avatar f tn Musculoskeletal pain ( probably a bone problem given an elevated alkaline phosphatase) and gynecologic problems may present similarly with your symptoms. Your urinary symptoms may be due to increased water intake during the day or prior to sleep ,some problems in the pelvic muscles and underlying urinary tract infections.Diabetes may also present with increase in urinary frequency usually noted at night. Keep us updated on the results of the scans and the blood tests.
Avatar f tn Take your medicine as prescribed by your doctor. If you have blood sugar and thyroid condition, as long as they are controlled and your doctor knows about these conditions, there is nothing to be worried about. If the symptoms persist, it is best that you discuss this with your doctor for proper management.. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar m tn It was not until I found a very good endocrinologist (and even they are not all created equal in investigating our symptoms and labs) that I think I have found some successful treatment. My thyroid function was previously checked by more than one doctor (including my PP and the rheumatologist); however, too many doctors do not know how to "check it" and missed putting together all the various "off" clues in my labs, like the protein in yours.
Avatar m tn Symptoms of prostatitis (poor urinary stream, weak ejaculation, perineal twitching and pain). Urine seems a little more yellow than usual. Fasciculations / muscle twitches -- more or less all over body; not there all the time and I seem to have tied these to episodes of GERD. Occasionally tinnitus and ear pain. Strange constant feeling of dizziness, or more like brain fog (no spinning sensation just a vague sense of imbalance). Pressure in head occasionally. Tiredness and waking up tired.
646782 tn?1224281384 there is a lot of stuff going on in that post but i will say that thyroid can be autoimmune and so can celiac and both are quite common together and believe me both will affect the heart rate in the long run .graves disease is harder to control that hashimotos and it will make the hr higher if not under control.if the thyroid is autoimmune it can reverse back to normal and go up again.
Avatar m tn In my opinion, investigations like kidney functions, blood sugar levels, ultrasound lower abdomen ,intravenous pyelography , thyroid function tests and cystoscopy may be needed to confirm a diagnosis. I sincerely advice you to consult a urologist or nephrologist and get yourself evaluated so that a confirmatory diagnosis can be made. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar n tn Life events, general quality of health and stress (just to name a few) can all change your thyroid meds requirements. We require different dosages at different times of our life. Do you have lab results that you can post? If so, please do so and include reference ranges as these vary from lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report. What are your symptoms of being hyper?
Avatar f tn Now I am just starting my menses so not sure if that is the cause of the tenderness, but in any event she ordered a sonogram for my thyroid and lower abdomen, and also order blood work for lupus and other thyroid conditions, as well as a urine culture to test for UTI - urinary tract infection. Now I am worried, since I have been researching on line all of these symptoms. The worry comes when the thyroid is swollen in combination of the pelvic tenderness.
581310 tn?1253029550 I have been on naturethroid during that time and my levels have been great. But I still have chronic headaches with urinary issues and pain in different parts of my body. My doctor thinks I could have Fibromyalgia because my hashi's has been treated and has normal levels now. Does anyone else have both these auto immune diseases together? If so what are you taking for the fibrolmyalgia.
Avatar f tn Hi I'm 28 and my husband and I trying to have a baby for almost a year. We ve been through a lot of stress but we thought to go and check out everything so will be sure that everything is ok. We did a lot of exams. My antibodies of thyroid are around 400 but my obgyn said I don't need therapy because my thyroid works fine. (But I read online for high risk of miscarriage) Our fertility tests mine with normal being 9 I was 16.5 and my husband's is 52millions in his semen analysis.
Avatar n tn Painful urination can be a number of things including bladder infection and urinary track infection - which would be a lot more common. I would suggest going to your doc to get checked out.
Avatar f tn ve gone to the doctor and had tests since then but they only said I had urinary tract infections and and gave me antibiotics. It goes away for a bit but it comes back. What should I do?
Avatar m tn In my opinion, investigations like kidney functions, blood sugar levels, ultrasound lower abdomen ,intravenous pyelography , pregnancy blood test, thyroid function tests and cystoscopy may be needed to confirm a diagnosis. I sincerely advise you to consult a urologist or nephrologist and get yourself evaluated so that a confirmatory diagnosis can be made. But firstly try drinking plenty of water because if it is simple UTI, then adequate amount of fluids will flush out the infection.
Avatar f tn I am sexually active with my boyfriend and he is my only partner. I have been looking up similar symptoms people have been having and the mention pregnacy. Could i just have a really bad urinary tract infection or should i get this checked out? I currently do not have health insurance so i have been putting aside...
Avatar n tn However, for the last 5-6 months I have had awful urinary symptoms. I bodybuild, and my problems at first started to appear to me after my workouts. After working out I would have painful urination and urine retention. The urine would only come out in short bursts. After an hour or two it would get better. I went to a doctor and got a urinalyis and it came out clean. He told me it was probably "bacteria on my shorts". I didn't buy it, but I just took him for his word.
