Avatar n tn Go to your doc and ask to be tested for high testosterone levels. You could possibly have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) which is stopping your cycle. Good luck!
2100308 tn?1388496839 Have you heard of such? My doctor told me I have mild PCOS, but I have a regular cycle.
Avatar m tn I understand Tamoxifen is completely different from testosterone, I mentioned it because many people take Tamoxifen during a steroid cycle to stop the body from shutting down it's natural production of testosterone and stop testicular shrinkage. My question was whether a pro hormone that doesn't aromatize to estrogen would shut down the bodies natural production of testosterone. Because that would essentially limit the need for an aromatase inhibitor.
1131112 tn?1321040173 I have the vitex but I haven't tried it yet. I have used soy isoflavone last cycle and this cycle. It has miraculously brought my irregular long cycle to normal 4 week cycles and I ovulated day 14....It's amazing! My acne has cleared a little too! By the way, Black Cohosh does help bring on labor and contractions but It's safe BEFORE pregnancy and it's suppose to regulate. I took it for a few days but I decided not to without my Dr. telling me it's ok.
Avatar f tn Feeling wired, excess hair, lean body, irregular periods and excess testosterone production all seem to point to it. Get your testosterone, free testosterone, DHEA and androsteneidione tested- they vary depending on where you are on your cycle, so ask your endo when you should get them tested.
374593 tn?1257879950 FSH ratio was consistent with PCOS, anyhow i got the testosterone level today and they said it was 68 (i guess it should be under 75 they said) but that anything over 30 its really too much... They said we won't do anything different this cycle, but we need to get the LH level down.. Does anyone know how that is done?? are there any ways of lowering testosterone either?? Has anyone had similar ? Thanks in advance!
Avatar m tn s not a concern with testosterone. Since birth control pills can help this, and they lower the cycle-related hormone levels, it would seem that testosterone may help, but I can't find anything at all to back that up. It might be worthwhile to see a breast specialist first, especially since it worsens your dysphoria every month. I'd hate for it to make things worse. :( Please let us know what you find out, and I'm sorry I couldn't find anything to help.
Avatar f tn actually metformin regulates your insulin and testosterone levels which for many women is why their cycle is irregular. the high insulin and testosterone prevent you LH from rising which prevents ovulation. so for most women when the hormones levels return to normal it can trigger ovulation, then two weeks later a period.
Avatar m tn Hi, How are you? Testosterone has been used for many decades for the treatment of testosterone deficient males.Today options for treatment include topical testosterone gels and creams, short and long acting injections of testosterone esters, application of testosterone through skin patches, subcutaneous testosterone implants, and oral testosterone capsules. The injection is given deep intra-muscular and is quite often painful.
478429 tn?1265244387 Well, my beta was a BFN this cycle.... yeah it ***** but for some reason it makes it just a little easier having a plan for next cycle. Some history on our ttc journey with meds : My RE and I were talking and when I got p/g with DS, we did monitored cycle by u/s, NO meds except for vitamins and progesterone supp. after O. We got p/g on the first IUI :)Even with having elevated testosterone level... That was awesome!!
1065748 tn?1255876527 The first cycle, I took 84mg, now this cycle, I took 134mg. If I need to next cycle, I will bump it again to 195mg. Let's hope not. Lots of BD to all.
865758 tn?1285952904 The level at that time was 45, then they retested it on the 3rd day of my cycle and it came back at 42. My endo ran the estradiol and testosterone during ovulation because the estrogen level is suppose to rise during this time. This time it came back again at 42. Does this help?
Avatar n tn Estradiol: 478 pg/ml Estrogens: Total 558 pg/ml FSH: 0.7 L (mlu/ml) LH: 4.9 mlu/ml Progesterone: 1.8 ng/ml Testosterone: 87 ng (slightly high) I have extremely painfull periods and have been unable to concieve for a couple years. I haven't really seen a specialist about it yet, but I was just wondering if anyone could shed some light as to what some of my test results show. I have very regular periods, but they are Very heavy and painful.

My testosterone count is low and i was wondering if anybody could give me some advice. i have heard about zinc pills, as well as HCG. 747152 tn?1240320709 Blood tests show I am low in human growth hormone, insulin growth factor, testosterone and DHEA. My Dr. thinks this is "nothing to worry about" but its quite obvious to me "this nothing to worry about" tumor is reaking havic in my body and causing the hormonal imbalance. My hair continues to thin and I have patches where you can see my scalp. I feel & look HORRIBLE and I'm just not myself, I look in the mirror and wonder who that person is looking back at me....
7843530 tn?1395009668 I want to know what having an anovulatory cyst typically does to your estrogen levels. I'm using an ovulation microscope and I've gotten some odd readings here and there, so I'm wondering if my estrogen levels are abnormal because of the cyst my doc felt on my ovary. She said it was only a little enlarged and would probably resolve itself within a cycle, and I'm at CD 24 now, with first time full ferning this morning.
Avatar m tn for the past few months my periods have been considerably (about 7-8 days) late (i have always been on a 28 day cycle...since i started my period at age 12!). my bangs are getting very thin...and my moods are very high and low. i have had 3 children. any insight as to what might be causing all of this?? I ofcourse am going to the dr. but would like to know if anyone else has experienced this?
Avatar m tn I'm getting a blood test next month and I'm wondering if all blood tests check for testosterone levels? And if most blood tests don't check for testosterone levels, what can I do or what do I have to do in order to make sure that my testosterone levels are found out?
Avatar f tn may I ask where you live? it's funny my hubby went to urologist this a.m. and the urologist mentioned the implant but said it wasn't avail in OH yet???? Just curious. I wish my husband would go to an edocronolgist! I think he needs to get of the testosterone! Every RE we have spoken with (3) says that testosterone decreases the # of sperm and it's quality because it doesn't force the brain to make it's own.
Avatar f tn Hello Im a 23 year old man and about a year ago I did injectable steroids masternol, diabol (pill form), and testosterone. i only injected 3 times and took the diabol for about 3 weeks but then I stoped abrubtly this was in oct of 07. Avatar f tn Morning erections are not a sign of anything. Mostly we get them when we're young and then we don't get them much anymore, although obviously people do differ. So don't worry about those, they're irrelevant. But yeah, if you're tired all the time, you might have trouble doing all sorts of things, and erections might be one of them, although there's certainly no guarantee this is so.
Avatar n tn A level over 5 probably indicates some form of ovulation, but most doctors want to see a level over 10 on a natural cycle, and a level over 15 on a medicated cycle. There is no mid-luteal level that predicts pregnancy. Some say the test may be more accurate if done first thing in the morning after fasting. U can do a blood test on CD 21 to verify if you r ovulating.
