synthroid

139126 tn?1255036991 a little more tired than usual but I had a difficult surgery. Still some jitters right after I take the synthroid.
Avatar n tn Hi there....I have hashi's as well. When you have hashimotos, your body makes antibodies that constantly attack your thyroid. Over time these antibodies will eventually destroy your entire thyroid. That is why you keep needing more meds. As the deterioration of your thyroid continues, you will keep needing more meds to function at optimum level. Also, your tsh should be maintained between a .50-1.0 to control hashi and symptoms (hypo symptoms).
547812 tn?1214613008 Hi I am on synthroid and I was wondering can you still have herbal teas? Or does that interfere with the synthroid?
446193 tn?1208833740 For some unknown reason this past fall I begin to have jitters and all the ugly side effects that go along with too much medicine. Since then my medicine level have been jumped around and even switched from generic to name brand only. My labs continue to get increasingly worse. I even had my doctor question me to see if I was actually taking my thyroid medicine.
Avatar m tn Hi, I was wondering if anyone has had normal thyroid test levels, and was prescribed synthroid to reduce thyroid swelling, and no other purpose for the medication. Did synthroid reduce thyroid swelling ?? Any side effects from the medication ??
219609 tn?1210348114 My question rises from I was on 150 synthroid and my labs would bounce from 5 to 7 TSH T4 free about 1.5 so while off the water tabs. I was still getting jitters so I switch to 100 levoxyl for 6 to 7 weeks and I had been on water pills during test and my labs came back with TSH of .08 and free T4 0f 1.7 and no jitters now. So it seems that lower dose with different brand got me right, but afraid the labs were miss lead do to water tabs. I thought it would make my labs in the high range.
Avatar m tn I just recently found out i am severe hypothyroid, my dr started me on 250 mg synthroid for 3 days then dropped it down to 125. I am experiencing severe diarrhea and the jitters. my dr told me there are no other alternatives and since my levels were so low and it has obviously been going on for some time that she thinks my body is trying to adjust.
Avatar f tn Hypothyroid, she put me on .1mg of synthroid. Very successful for me, never felt better. I had a small cosmetic in office surgery where my PS used lidocain to numb just the area, lido has epinephrine in it. I also was taking claritan and (or) sudafed anihistimine, decongestant. 6 days later I started experiencing shortness of breath and dizzy. Went to primary doctor the next day who only did cbc, no thyroid tests and checked my bp.
Avatar f tn i have jitters in my stomach and cant stand to be closed up in a room or alone and my breathing is heavy what do i do?
Avatar n tn I felt it after 2 days. And no jitters with the increase that I had on synthroid. But I have to wait for a few more weeks to get a good blood test. I have been trying to get euthyroid since JAN 2011.
219609 tn?1210348114 I was one 175mcg Synthroid for many months and was reel jittery, and dizzy,,my TSH was .88 at that time with T4free at 1.8-1.9 at times,,so I lowered my dose to 150mcg and a month later it was about the same 1.0 T4free at 1.8, then another month went by and three days of that time I took 137mcg,,,then the next week I got my test done and it came back as TSH as 5.66..
219609 tn?1210348114 I have been hypo for for over 25 years,no meds,no complications, doc insisted I get back on them,,I had aTT 26 years ago,and synthroid makes me feel terriable,so stopped it and did well for many years. Wll been on it now,,{brand synthroid fo 1 year, and tsh is 1.0 for three months now,T4 is 1.8 told I had benine cyst on left adrenal gland, due to hypo so long that adrenal had to handle the load.
393419 tn?1228447393 I've been taking 150mcg of synthroid for 3 yrs and I too get the jitters. I was told that it would go away, but it hasn't. As far as asking questions, it's your Endos job to answer them for you. That's why you went to him/her to begin with. Don't be afraid to ask!!!!!!I I too use to feel that way, however, my Primary care and Surgeon also help answer my questions when needed. I kind of spread the questions around a bit between the three of them.
Avatar f tn It has only been two days on the generic. I have been on Synthroid for 2 weeks and a few days. I started to feel the effects of Synthroid about the 5th day. My symptoms started to abate. I feel better to say the LEAST. I am wondering if my feet not hurting and the energy level is due to Synthroid not Levo. I know that Synthroid is only the brand name and really is Levothryoxine. My doc said it would take months to get the full effect from this med. So is the Levo working this fast?
410801 tn?1220119445 overall i feel much better than before when i was on synthroid, but since on Armour, i have a few things to complain: 1. headache, comes and goes but bothersome. 2. nausea: i few time i thought i was pregnant 3. shakiness i am on half grain for 2 month now, i was on 100 mcg synthroid before i switched, i started one grain but felt too much, then i cut down to half grain.
Avatar m tn Hi, I developed an enlarged thyroid last year. My TSH level is .080 as of April 08,. I was prescribed Synthroid .075 mcg last year, to reduce the swelling of my thyroid. Endo said my thyroid function is normal. But I am a bit confused. If my thyroid functions are normal, then why would an Endo prescribe synthroid for hypothyroid ?? Wouldn't synthroid make me hyperthyroid ??
Avatar f tn I had been stabilized on Synthroid for many years but it was no longer effective and my Free T3 was barely normal. Has anyone experienced any adverse response to this medication change? How are you feeling on the new combination? Thanks!
996769 tn?1249681013 I have found that I can get the jitters with some of the otc meds that carry the warning if I take them too close to my Synthroid. The technical answer would be to ask your Dr. -- and you may want to do a community search on upper rt. hand side that may bring up some other posts .. I recall other discussions with helpful replies if nobody else has replies over the weekend for you. Keep us posted!
2121656 tn?1395674749 I was diagnosed in August 2013 with Hashimoto's. I was recently taking on 87.5 Synthroid. Unfortunately, I wasn't converting well, here's my most recent labs from March 2014: TSH-1.05 Range: 0.40-4.50 FT4-1.6 Range: 0.8-1.8 FT3-3.0 Range: 2.3-4.2 T3 total 96 no range and I've never heard of this test. I finally was able to visit a great thyroid doctor that prescribes Armour. He started me on 30 mcg. 0.5 grain 1 tablet for 7 days, then every 7 days add another tablet.
168348 tn?1379357075 I am taking replacement thyroid hormone (Synthroid) for 14mos after a partial thyroidectomy where the other side decided not to function after surgery (happens 20% of the time) so I must remain on Synthroid rest of my life which,is ok because I feel great on the meds, EXCEPT when anything (even small) causes stress in my life ... then I find I get very anxious and have mood swings which I know wouldn't happen from similar small am't of stress in my life not being on the Synthroid.
Avatar f tn Hi All, I was diagnosed with hypo a few years ago. Since then, I was on levothyroxine until I got up to 100mcg, now I'm on 150mcg of Synthroid. Sometimes I get the strangest symptoms. I don't get these symptoms constantly or even on a regular basis. They seem to come and go at random times. Some of these symptoms are - eyes sensitive to light, heart "jumps", pressure in my left temple, anxiety, and general fogginess.
1549937 tn?1300220335 I have been sick since last fall with Hypothyroidism. I have been taking 50 mcg of generic Synthroid. It hasn't done the trick for me and they tried 75 mcg last fall and I went into overdose with it - heart palpitations and very jittery.
