synthroid

Avatar m tn I'm using Synthroid for weight loss and muscle growth whle training. Does anyone know - is it safe to buy Synthroid online in places like this? Too cheap and no prescription needed, so I'm not sure.
Avatar m tn So, since I lost my health insurance I have had to buy generic Synthroid online from one of those Canadian Pharmacy things that sends those spam-type emails I was broke and almost out of meds so I took the bait. All has been well with it until I started having some really horrible night terrors. I'm talking NIGHT TERRORS, the kind that leave you paralyzed upon waking up. I didnt know if maybe it was because I went to buy GENERIC synthroid rather than the name brand. is that any different?
Avatar n tn Anyone else has Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield? Would it be cheaper to buy Synthroid at a retail price? If so, where can I buy it? Store, online? Thanks!
Avatar f tn Due to the recall I was forced onto Synthroid in July 2013. My body is not accepting it very well, I have lost 1/2 my hair and continue to have head aches. Is there any idea when Levoxyl will be back on the market?

Avatar m tn Hi, I don't have a Thyroid it was removed due to Cancer 31 years ago. I was on Synthroid 2.0, a doctor reduced to 175, I had severe symptoms including weight gain 5 lbs a month, & this seemed to mess my entire system up. I became sensitive to many foods, headaches, face peeling, heart palpitations (I have always had when low), etc. Finally, I was changed to Armour 240 with 5 Cytomil, finally felt better. Kaiser tried Synthroid 2.0, did not work, instant symptoms.

87651 tn?1259602403 Ok, I am on Synthroid, 125mcg. Why is it that some ppl are put on the Synthroid or Levo with/without the Cytomel? I am only on the Synthroid, but I have heard that alot of people do well with both meds in their system as to hypo he// they go through? Can someone help me to understand??
Avatar f tn I have Hashimoto and have been on Synthroid for 3 years. It is NOT working. I believe I need an NDT or a T4/T3 compound. I've heard excellent things about WP Thyroid because it has the least amount of inactive ingredients. I've been to 3 doctors....NOBIDY wants to prescribe anything but Synthroid. Anyone have any suggestions????
Avatar f tn I am taking synthroid for past 10 years, and had no issue. Since last march I was not feeling the same so my doc prescribed armour. Until now I am confused about the side effect of armour and since everyone says it is natural, I don't want to take synthroid. lately I am feeling tarrible and have taken my blood test four times. TSH is .15 and lower. I'm going for another test after two weeks.I feel hungry but after the meal i feel terrible. Is it my armour or something else? Help plz.
Avatar n tn Has anyone had experience with changing meds from synthroid to levothyroxin? I am faced with having to change because of insurance or pay much more for synthoid. Should I do it?
Avatar f tn I don't believe its too early. I believe you should buy small things if your having a baby shower, you don't want to buy something someone brought as a gift. but as long as you have the gender confirmed .. i believe you could began buying things.
Avatar n tn Not sure I've seen it on this community but doesn't mean it isn't a side effect. Maybe try the name brand Synthroid and if that still is an issue discuss an alternate med ... that just doesn't seem like a fair side effect to have to endure to me ..
7991152 tn?1396061810 Then read in a pill book that levoxyl had difference dosages of ingredients then Synthroid did. I remember there being significant differences. I got back on Synthroid and immediately felt better. That was about 5 years ago. Two days ago, I pick up my prescription get home and it is generic. I am almost positive it said, Levothryroxine, which 90 days cost $38.00. Well, today I go back and tell them I need my "Synthroid" and please don't change to generic.
Avatar f tn What dosage is your endo starting you out on? How many pills did he prescribe? The more you buy, the less expensive, but you don't want to buy a 90 day supply, only to find out that you have to change it in 45 days. You might also get by cheaper by asking your doctor to prescribe twice the dosage, then split the pills in 1/2. For instance, if he's prescribing 50 mcg, he could write the script for 100 mcg to be taken at 1/2 per day.
Avatar m tn My current Synthroid pills are 100mcg daily. My Dr. just changed my dosage to 125 mcg daily and my drugs are mail ordered. How can I utilize my current 100mcg to get the 125 mcg dosage until the new prescription arrives? Thank you!
Avatar f tn I have posted on here before, but now I have seen on this forum that your not supposed to take any iodine or soy and my Vit D3 I take has soy as does my fish oil caps. My Multivitamins have iodine in them I just discovered. Please tell me what are some good multi vitamins for hashi's? I'm taking 12.5 of Synthroid because I have an angina problem if I take anything stronger. So my Endo has me gradually taking it in increments until my heart can take the full dose.
526573 tn?1212519717 t know what to think and my doctor says probably menopause but something tells me not to buy it. (My last doctor ignored my thyroid saying I was in perimenopause). Do you have any thougthts or advice for me? Thank you!
566031 tn?1216696517 It is not the best idea to buy T3 online. Both T3 and T4 tablets have what is called narrow therapeutic indexes which means that the dosage required to get a therepeutic/good benefit is very close to the dosage required to have undesirable effects. Taking too much T3 can cause heart problems or even land you in hospital. However, if you do decide to buy it ask your doctor to help you decide how much to take and arrange regular blood tests.
Avatar f tn Calcium can interfere with the absorption of your synthroid, so you should wait 4 hours after taking synthroid, to take your calcium. I take calcium with magnesium to avoid constipation, as I have to take a large amount of calcium supplement. Good luck.
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in November of 09. I was initially put on 100mcg of generic Levothyroxine (can't remember what manufacturer.) I did not feel much difference in the following months. Shortly after I was diagnosed I lost my health insurance so any follow up tests had to be postponed. I continued the 100mcg dosage though. Fast forward to this past month. I have been employed and am currently signed up for a reduced care program.
Avatar n tn Keep getting your blood tested. If you stop the Synthroid and go hypo again (high TSH, low frees) that would not be good for the baby. Mary J. Shomon writes a good book about pregnancy and thyroid. I suggest you Google and buy it.
