Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis 3/2008 and have been taking 50mg of Synthroid since then. I have always had times when I would shake and become nauseated if I didn't eat my meals regularly, but a little OJ would clear it right up. I am finding more and more that I suffer from nausea and tremors in my hands after I eat anything.
280485 tn?1249013844 He perscribed 175 mcg Synthroid, and of course, I am to discontinue the Cytomel. Are the two meds Levo and Synthroid, similar as far as how much you need? Or should I anticipate a big difference in how I feel tomorrow and the next few days? And, I guess I'm wondering if this is going to take weeks to ramp up and just a wild a#@! guess that will need several "tweekings"?
6653958 tn?1395759593 Are you always drinking this much and having large amounts of really pale urine? Lithium can cause increased hunger and thirst, but the thirst you describe sounds excessive, especially if it's like that all day every day.
Avatar n tn Excessive thirst is a very common symptom of a high blood sugar and keytones in your blood system. The excessive thirst is always accompinied by frequent urination. The thirst is often for something sweet, because your body is looking for energy where ever it can get it. Other symptoms include rapid weight-loss and not the good kind either, before I was diagnosed I lost 35lbs in 2 weeks. If you do exhibit these symptoms get your blood sugar tested if you have access to a glucose tester.
Avatar f tn This can also be the result of diseases like diabetes mellitus and diabetes insipidus. Heart, liver and kidney failure and also certain medications cause excessive thirst. Some people with severe acidity too develop a habit of drinking water to counteract the effect of acidity In your case, probably chronic diarrhea has precipitated increased thirst. Chronic diarrhea can be due to parasitic infestations.

Your opinion would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Avatar m tn It is certainly a good idea to keep a food diary and write down everything that you eat and drink - including every sweet! Jot down when your feelings of thirst too and notice whether they thirst is stronger after you have eaten your sweets. Don't forget to write down any flavourings that are put on the salads too. If you work out and sweat a lot or work in a very hot environment that makes you sweat a lot, that will make you thirsty too.
