Common Questions and Answers about Synthroid and lortab

synthroid

1108183 tn?1292416673 About a year later I was in the hospital- due to depression, and they said my thyroid levels were off and put me on a low dose of synthroid. Last month, I had run out of my synthroid, and my hair started falling out, I was having night sweats, severe fatigue, and pain and tenderness in the thyroid area of my neck- my glands in my neck were swollen too. By the time I got to see a doctor at the health department, the pain and swelling had left.
Avatar f tn For example, Vicodin can be 5mg of hydro and 500mg of tylenol as can Lortab. Or Vicodin can be 10mg of hydro and 325 mg of tylenol and so can Lortab. So they only way one will be stronger than the other as if the Vicodin was 5/500 and the Lortab is 10/325. I hope I have been clear in anwsering your question. If I haven't been please let me know.
Avatar f tn can you take lortab with clomid?my foot doc put me on lortab and my obgyn put me on clomid will lortab mess with clomid are will clomid still work?
Avatar n tn I am 20 weeks pregnant with a healthy little girl (had CVS and level II ultrasound.) Everything looks great. My OB has prescribed lortab for migraines and a neck dystonia (which was previously treated with Botox - but not now due to the pregnancy.) My question is at low levels of lortab -- less than 10Mg a day (and some days with nothing) would it be safe to assume that the chances of withdrawl or low? Should I stop taking completely a month before due date?
Avatar f tn I asked him if he thought I needed to go to therapy or meetings or anything like that and he said no. In his opinion I never abused my meds and I am just dealing with a physical dependence, not a true addiction. I will keep pondering that question as I go on and if I feel like I am going to slip at all will revisit it. I see him again in six weeks so that will keep me honest.
Avatar f tn I have been taking vicodin, lortab, and percocet (not all at once) throughout my pregnancy with the supervision of my Dr. for a very painful neurological disorder. My Dr's have told me that their only concern is that if we cannot get me off these pills (by weaning) by the time that the baby is born that the baby could face withdrawls.
459155 tn?1264008142 the subutux will only make it harder to feel a high off the lortab...awhile ago people and docs were warning patients that if you take any other opioid with subutex/suboxone you will go into precipitated wds. your sister hasnt been on subs before so she has no tolerance for buprenorphine so there will be no problem there. she will most likely just get a stronger buzz cuz she took both buprenorphine and hydrocodone together...
Avatar n tn My head hurt so badly that I was crying and had to use an ice pack to help ease the pain. My doctor gave me Levaquin (10 days), another 7 day supply of Prednisone, and Lortab 10mg. The Lortab helped a good bit with my misery, but I could still feel all the pressure in my head, even on such a strong pain killer. 5 days after the second treatment, I woke up with another horendous headache.
Avatar n tn Is there anything I should know about how to take my Synthroid, 75 mcg and Zoloft, 150? I would like to know if I should take them separately and if so, how many hours apart?
Avatar m tn I am on Armour and I am one of the ones who didn't benefit from Synthroid - you are very lucky your found Synthroid to work best for you - it is the thyroid drug of choice and many doctors will not continue Armour if you need to change to someone else. Go back to what works - and the question is still ot there - Why did you try it if Synthroid was working?
Avatar f tn I am 28 yo female, I had my thyroid removed 10 years ago due to non cancerous nodules growing on it. I've been on synthroid since I was 11 yo. Everything was fine until I went off birth control pills. All of a sudden I had a hard time tolerating my 137 mcg dose of synthroid. I switched to armour thyroid, but couldn't tolerate any more than 60 mg. I felt great on just 60 mg, however my TSH shot up from 1 to almost 8.
Avatar n tn i am new here. I read a few forums and such. Me and hubby take Lortab and Soma. Soma's like 15-20 a peice at night just to sleep. I take about 9 Lortab's a day and he takes god only knows how many a day. Between the both of us we go through 90ish every other day. We get some legitamately and some not. We want to stop now. We are scared of withdrawals and neither one of us can afford to miss work or let our families know.
Avatar n tn Hello, I am a recovering alcohol and pain pill addict. My oppinion would be to go to your doctor and tell them everything. You don't want to harm that baby and taking too many for too long, it could make the baby depended on the drug. Then when he or she is born it could have withdrawals from not having the drug anymore. I know how hard it is too quit but sometimes you have to do it for someone else then for yourself!!!!
Avatar m tn Welcome to the forum---- I think the more important question is whether you really need the additional pain relief or or just wanting the effect of the additional Opiate. If you can withstand the pain by just taking your normal dose of Methadone, then don't take the Lortabs. Hope you will stay and post and read this site -- should you ever decide to come off of the Methadone, this is a great place to find help. All the best.
688488 tn?1227152005 no, i think that is a vey bad idea and you should definitely not do it. plus i think you would either get sick or the kortqbs wouldnt work. Dont do it, it completely negates your reason for taking the sub to being with and getting off the pain pills should be your #1 priority.
Avatar n tn I have generalized anxiety disorder, and take Effexor and Xanax. I have a serious thyroid problem and take Synthroid... Lyrica, Flexeril, Lortab and Tramadol for the fibromyalgia. I also have CFS. I feel like a walking health problem!! Thanks in advance!
1070570 tn?1283436213 For those taking synthroid AND cytomel, Please list the dosages you take of each and at what time throughout the day. Also please list any experiences -good or bad- you've had with this combination. Thank you!
Avatar f tn I am strictly taking the cyomtel and was told to stop the Synthroid. Iam so cold and tired, I just want to feel normal, it is affecting my life!! 37 years old with two children and also was diagnosed with endometrosis (not sure If that makes any difference). Please help!!
Avatar n tn I had this cough since 1989 when I started on synthroid and can't figure it out. I was wondering if it could be the synthroid. I just typed this site in and I am surprised and now do believe it can be the synthroid. No one can figure out the cough. Did anyone ever figure it out if the cough is from the synthroid???
1070570 tn?1283436213 have been told I have a conversion issue due to a high RT3 level in April (352)- don't convert T4 to T3 optimally, instead it converts to RT3 which cancels out the T3 that's trying to get into my cells. That's why I was wondering if increasing the synthroid was just gonna increase my RT3 and make me feel worse.
Avatar f tn With the symptoms you describes they are classic withdrawal symptoms. It is a long time to be in acute withdrawal but with that being said, methadone has a very long half life. It takes a very long time for it to get out of your system, months. I am not at all surprised you are still having problems, especially seeing how you were on it for the length of time you stated. The doses of the other meds the doctor put you were just not adequate. It seems he would of known that.
Avatar m tn Hi...I am on Nexium and synthroid....can I take them together in the morning and hour before breakfast? I am supposed to take them both in AM. Thanks....
Avatar f tn I posted in an old thread and was encouraged to post here. I have neen taking lortab for over 2 years and darvocet before that for 11 years . I was diagnosed with endometreosis and at 30 spinal stenosis. It was bad enough that i took too many darvocet but when I started with the lortab it became much worse. I was taking 8-10 10mg lortab a day . My doctor found out last week that I had been abusing this medicine and told me she would not be able to fill any more for me.
Avatar n tn as well as many others in here. I have heard from most...that around 90 days...all the true and natural joy and energy really starts to come in.....with having a drug free life !!! During my 2-3 weeks was my point in wondering why I just felt like "blah" and " how come I wasnt finding any joy in watching movies...etc" Now on Day 28 for me, I have noticed...that my energy and joy is already coming back to me. Work is getting easier, and I am finding joy in normal things...
Avatar f tn I have completely stopped the morphine and dilauded I now have weaned the lortab down to 3 tabs per day and I have 3 tabs left. I already feel like my ears are stopped up, headache, body aches and I am so exhausted. I feel so miserable. I am supposed to start a new job this week and I am scared. Please if someone has any idea how many days this misery will last and if I have any advise to make this detox faster and better please help. I have to and want to quit.
Avatar n tn My dentist prescribed Lortab for me after a small dental surgery. I've taken stronger pain killers before and have not really enjoyed the affects, but I really like Lortab. It doesn't upset my stomach and I feel very good on it. I only take it at night before bed because it helps me go to sleep. I've had insomnia for years and this is the first thing I've ever found that helps. I go to sleep with no problem, and wake up early the next day feeling fine.
Avatar m tn I have been consisntently taking 3-4 Lortabs 10/500 all at once in the evening for quite some time now. I have been doing this off and on for about three years. Some times I go about 6 months with no pills but there are other times that I take them everyday for 2 months straight. I have currently been taking them every night (at once) for the past few months and I am becoming VERY concerned about the shape my liver is in.
Avatar n tn And, on top of everything else, I feel like crap. Even though my synthroid levels are normal. My muscles and bones ache, and I am weak and tired all the time.
