swollen eyelid and cold

This has happened for over a month now. It alternates between both the left and right eye, top or bottom eyelid, and sometimes even both. There is no pain, and the swelling is normally reduced after using a cold compress... I have not noticed any patterns as to when the swelling occurs, and went weeks without makeup to see if that would help (if it was an allergic reaction.) Nothing seems to be effective, what could be the problem?

one more than the other and on the less swollen one the eyelid has a bump in it, . any suggestions? , taking an antihistamine, plus eye drops. allergy, eye drops, plus doing saline nose rinse. ice pack, eyes also itch a little. any suggestion?

I've had 4 operations in the last 9 months for retinal detachment. After the first 3, my eye would always recover properly. The last operation which was done December 5th 2008, went well according to my doctor. I went to Africa for a little over a month to travel with family in January. I did everything the doctor told me, putting my eye drops in and not touching the eye as it healed. Now it's June, and for the past 3 months the upper eyelid on the affected eye has been swollen.

If i worry about it, the swelling increases and takes over my entire eyelid. I take phenergan which knocks me out and sleep it off or another antihistamine. It usually goes within a couple of hours but for swelling of my whole eyelid usually takes a day until the puffiness has gone. I have a cough at the moment and the doc says it is caused by asthma as the cough is dry and no cold symptoms or anything. I had the eye issue yesterday and he said that swelling of the eye area is caused by asthma.

5 hours and my face was sunburnt even after using 15spf and two days later my upper right eyelid is swollen alot with bags under both eyes and a funny kind of numbness on the right side of my face. It is now July 8th and my face still seems puffy and when I press on my face in the cheek area you can feel the swelling in the eye area. I have been taking ibuprofren 400mg every 4 hrs since yesterday. Is there anything else I can do and how long does this last?

One time leads to little irritation (itchiness), but warm compress and cold compress get it over in a couple of day. In 2014, she woke up with a swollen eyelid (eye infection on eyelid)! Is the hormone at puberty a factor as she is producing more oil? How to prevent that from happening? Should I have her use diluted baby soap to wash her eyelids daily? Or some OTC eyelid wipes? Or warm compress twice a day?

My 3 year old son if getting eyelid swelling on and off suddenly, 2 weeks back he had fever with high temperatures and after 2 days suddenly his left eyelid swollen, we immedietly took him to the doctor and he doubted it might be Periorbital Cellulitis and he gave antibiotic shot and prescribed 10day antibiotic course.

So almost 2 weeks ago now, I woke up with my right upper eyelid (only) so swollen that my eyebrow looked like I just had an overdone face lift on one side of my face. I tried putting cold compress on it, no change, as the day progressed swelling decreased, but not completely. Next day same thing, took some Actifed and rested for a few hours. This seemed to make the swelling go down quite a bit.

Later that night when looking in the mirror I noticed my left eyelid was getting red and puffy. If it's neurological there shouldn't be any actual swelling of the eyelid involved, hmmm if the eyelid is swollen then it 'could' make the eyelid just look like it's drooping down, have you seen your GP about it yet? As aspen mentioned it could be an infection or even a reaction bug bite on the eyelid, if it's been a few days and it's still swollen it'd be worth getting your GP to check it out. After another week my right eyelid stopped twitching and then my left eyelid started to twitch. After another week my lips also started to twitch and now my nose started. I am really concerned about it, is this permanent ?

It has gotten more painful and much more swollen since then. If I flip my eyelid up it is very very red and it looked almost like a little red bump underneath - that was yesterday. I can be sitting at work and it will flare up, or wake up in the morning and it will be swollen. After being swollen then it starts to turn red, it burns and it cracks and becomes very dry. I use aquaphor, and a warm washcloth for my dry cracked eyes and a cold frozen washcloth for my swollen eyes :( this is really starting to becoming a problem for me.... 2 months into this!!!

ve been having false eyelashes for about a year , but the last time I had them I reacted to them almost immediately- swollen bottom eyelids and red , I saw gp who said i needed them off and gave me an antihistamine, any way since then I have been suffering intermittent swollen bottom eyelids ( mainly my right eye) , it will be ok for maybe a week and then just randomly swell again , if I take an antihistamine quickly the swelling goes down again for maybe a week ?? Any ideas ?
