Lol, all a stress test is, is they hook you up to a monitor and you sit there for 20-30 minutes and click a button when you feel baby move. The monitor records babies heart rate, and babies movements, it's just to make sure babies HR is responding to movement properly. Or atleast that's what the stress tests were when I had mine. LoL I've heard of playing with your nipples to bring on labor supposedly but not for the non-stress test. =) I have to start going when I hit 32 weeks but basically what it is they put a belt around your waist to monitor the baby's heart rate and you have to sit there for like 1/2 an hour. I had it done with my son and it's not bad just kinda boring sitting there.

m a 20 yr old female I have problems with SOB, chest tightness, palpitations, dizziness, all with a high heart rate. I went to the doctor and was ordered a 48 holter monitor. I was told I had runs of SVT on the monitor and that I needed a few more tests. So I had an exercise stress test done. I only walked for 4 minutes before my heart rate was 190. I had to get off the treadmill right after that. Should I be worried about this? Any ideas of what could be causing this to happen to me?

t complete the answer to your question, I was never told what my heart rate got to during the test, what i was giving you was the home monitor, pressure good fast heart rate, ongoing problem even upon rising in the morning after a nights sleep.

I had a stress test done last year and you must close to me in age because our target HR's are close. I'm interested to see what your response will be because I've been told & read 2 different things. My BP went from 130/70 - 150/90; and hr from 74 - 154 in 4:55 and my doctor told me that was fine and nothing to be concerned about, what did your doctor say?

t really be SVT if it stops, maybe NSVT (non-sustained) but if you are concerned you should have a Holter monitor test. Has your doctor mentioned this possibility?

What did her heart rate go up to? Sometimes a piece of clotting material can be lodged free from inside the heart when it works hard, of course causing risk of stroke. I am relieved it was only a mini stroke but they should investigate this much further.
