Avatar n tn You do need to get back with the cardio and get an explanation of a one minute stress test terminated at heart rate of 144. You do not state how you felt at the time of the test termination. You are still not out very far from your heart attack; I'd go back and get some guidance.Let us know. Joan.
Avatar m tn I just completed a tread mill stress test and a nuclear stress test. Briefly, the results are: 1) attained 100% target heart rate, no chest pains, no arrhythmia 2) LVEF is 56% 3) Moderate size infereior ischemia 4.) ECG is positive for ischemia at good workload (reached heart rate of 143). I've formed a preliminary impression from my research on the Internet, but I would appreciate professional feedback. I am scheduled for a heart catheterization. Thank you.
Avatar m tn I had a tread mill stress test and a nuclear stress test. Briefly, the results were: 1) reached 100% target heart rate, no chest pains, no arrhythmia 2) LVEF is 56% 3) moderate size inferior ischemia 4) ECG is positive for ischemia at a good workload (143 heart rate). I have formed a preliminary impression from my research on the Internet, but would appreciate feedback on the above 4 items. I havel scheduled a heart catherterization. Thank you.
Avatar f tn re saying, but the Cardiologists I have worked with usually try to keep the heart rate during a stress test at 85%, which is enough to get sufficient information even when they are looking for arrhythmia, even more so as a higher heart rate could be dangerous in such a scenario. The fact that they offered to allow her to go on would make me think they were not concerned about any findings of an arrhythmia.

The cath will give the doctor specific answers. I'd try to stress about it, but the period of time after a stress test and before a cath is always a worrisome time, I've gone through that a number of times.
Avatar n tn My nuclear stress test results were as follows ver batim. I do not know what it means, are the results acceptable, good very good etc. What does this say about the blood flow to the heart muscle ? "injection of Myoview nuclear tracer & resting images obtained excercised on a treadmill for 5 min 34 sec. to 10.
Avatar m tn t going to do the test. I finally got it down and they did the test. They managed to get my heart rate up to the 140 beats they wanted. I am awaiting the results. Monday was a holiday here. My Dr told me to book a follow up in Nov but I haven't done it yet. I was going to do it this week but today the office called and said they wanted me to call. It was too late to call so I have to call tomorrow. I know I will be awake all night now. Why would they call right away?
Avatar f tn Don't know your medical issues but your age is an indication for twice weekly antenatal testing.
Avatar n tn t agree on why I did so well on the stress test. Q. Can some one do this well on a stress test, ie 13.5 minutes and still have major heart problems? What's next?
Avatar f tn You reached 91% of hour max heart rate which is good, they only need 85% and will usually stop the test when you achieve it. The other two findings would suggest an incomplete blockage that is not present upon rest but is under stress which would mean your heart has an area not getting enough oxygen when stressed.
Avatar f tn Thank you so much for responding to my post! Am so grateful and at a loss. I am a 44yr old female, 122lbs, recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's (autoimmune disease), Adrenal Fatigue and a variety of anemias all of which I am being treated for. As a toddler I had encephalitis of the brain accompanied by extremely high fevers. This spring I had to have removed a Thyroid nodule and I got the above-stated results during a pre-op test.
Avatar m tn Would SVT show up on a treadmill test if I was hooked up to a EKG? My heart rate shot up to 217 BMP while I was on the treadmill.
Avatar n tn What the cardiologist is looking for on a stress test is achieving 85% of you max predicted heart rate. Once that is met, the test is usually terminated. In you case that would be 133 BPM (220-age)*.85). Mets is simply a calculation used to determine the amount of energy expended to calculate calories burned.
Avatar f tn Just after the test started, I started getting very severe pain in my legs. My heart rate only went up to 112 beats per minute when they injected the thallium. I had to stop the test within 3 minutes of starting it because of the pain in my legs (approx. 30 seconds after injection). I got the results of the test on Saturday.
Avatar n tn Terminate stress test when blood pressure or heart rate drops...hypertension - 220 systolic or 110 diastolic especially if headache or visual changes. Patient has reached or exceeded the predicted maximum heart rate (need 85% nuclear 15-20 bpm over 85% for stress echo). The above reates directly to your question regarding hpb and hr.
Avatar f tn t transfer my medical records over from CA when I moved to IL and because of that, I get 2 a week til I give birth. They monitor my heart rate, his heart rate, his movements and I have to click a button every time I feel him move. They want to make sure that he's progressing properly and the placenta is providing him with all he needs. If something was wrong then his heart rate wouldn't go up 10 to 20 BPM twice in 30 to 60 minutes, thats what they check.
Avatar n tn The report said I reached 98% of predicted maximal heart rate as the rate changed from 68 to 157 BPM. BP changed from 152/80 to 189/66. I was stressed to 8 METS. I stopped due to fatigue but had no excess shortness of breath and no chest pain. There were no EKG changes over baseline. The reading said the stress tomograph images demonstrate no significant perfusion defects. Resting tomograms show no significant change. No wall motion abnormalities.
