Common Questions and Answers about Stomach gas during early pregnancy

gas

) until late, late in pregnancy, just tenderness so I'm really wondering if it's a sign of early pregnancy or just later in pregnancy or if it's all in my head cause I want to be pregnant.
BUT I was wondering if any of you who are pregnant had a sore stomach as an early symptom.. cause my stomach is just sore but its not just my lower stomach.. its my upper part to. But, i am on CD30 of a 31 day cycle.. so.. I only have 2 days to go to find out. Use this as an Open Forum too.
My nipples are really sensitive, but not crazy sore. I'm not sure if it's just pms or early pregnancy symptoms as it's still a week before my period is due Wouldn't it be too early? Also I've read that most women get an INCREASE of vaginal discharge. Anyone who would like to post their early symptoms would be appreciated. Thanks!
( ribs lower my breast hurts and left abdomen pain) this continued till Saturday night and i was fine from sunday. i gas than normal during these 2 days and also now after eating . i used home pregnancy stick and it showed negative :( . was it early to check for HCG in urine.. ?
I am about 5 weeks pregnant and have been having a lot of gas, bloating, stomach aches and cramping. I am having difficulty sleeping. I am hungry, but can not eat too much because of the constant full feeling. Is this normal? What can I do to help alleviate this? I do not remember experiencing this with my first child.
Yep its gas bubbles. At 11 weeks your uterus would barely be peeking over your pubic bone at this time. I'm not sure if this is your first pregnancy or not but most of the time during first pregnancies you won't start feeling movement until closer to 20 weeks or a little bit after.
Cramping is normal during early pregnancy. Its one of the signs that made me suspicious. I ALWAYS get cramps on my right side b4 my cycle, but this time I was gettin sharp cramps on my left side so, I thought well maybe... and sure enough that was it(BFP).
Becca, yes plz go to the ER immediately if you have those symptoms, as that is not common for a UTI, but it sounds more like a kidney infection, which can be very dangerous during prengancy. I have had recurrent UTI's throughout this pregnancy, but I was told if I had a fever, chills, shakes, etc. to go to the ER immediately because that means it has gotten to the kidneys. If they treat it immediately, it should be fine.
I just don't know whats ok and I get crazy from every little feeling in my stomach. I keep thinking maybe its a result of gas pains.....but I am just not sure. I want to maybe ask the doc. but I know I drive them so crazy already. Please let me know if anyone else has these issues.
I am very early into my pregnancy also and experienced sharp and mild shooting pains there. I called a friend that just had 2 children back to back..she said she also had those pains . She said not to be scared, it was just my body geting ready for the new baby. She said she was scared she was having a miscarrige. But of cpourse she wasn't!! SO don't get scared but if the pain is very bad or goes on for a long time see the doc ASAP!!
Having a period means you are shedding the lining of your uterus. So I would say, it's not normal nor possible. Some bleeding can be considered within normal limits and so can some types of cramps. If you feel like this is a REAL period, and the bleeding and cramping are plentiful, I would suggest contacting your OB for a check. How far along are you?
After getting through that nightmare of 3 days and the naseau and pain slowed down I was told that it could have been an embro that was planted incorrectly or begining stage of early pregnancy. I took a home pregnancy test about 3 weeks later that came back negative. I ignored it from then on out. But then last month my period was a breeze, it lasted only 3 days or so and no cramps or anything.
) but those 5 months I got chronic lower back pain during my periods. No pain during pregnancy with him. After I had him, I went back on the pill for about a year and then what do you know, came off it to try for a second baby and the pain came back. MAJORLY. Finally saw a gynaecologist who said he thinks I have Endo and that either the pill, pregnancy or laparoscopic surgery will reduce it. That was 6 months ago. I also miscarried before I saw that doctor at 4.5weeks too.
It's very common to have spotting in pregnancy, especially early pregnancy. I spotted at about 7 weeks. I'm not 34 weeks. If you are extremely worried call your dr to have an u/s to be sure but unless it's really red I don't think you have annything to worry about.
Referring to your post regarding A/Fib and bloated stomach/gas, I too have had the same experience. I believe it is a mechanical effect in that the gas inflates the intestine which in turn pushes on the vagus nerve or the bottom of the heart and triggers the A/F episode. The sensation is located under the left rib cage not in the chest. I can also induce A/F by swallowing something very cold on an empty stomach. This freaks out the nerve and the A/F proceeds.
My husband & doctor (dh is a pharmacist) believe it or not let me take Gas-X for my bloating as that seemed to help me but I was severly constipated too which was part of the problem. The indigestion & bloating are both very normal during pregnancy - you could try the above OTC & you could also ask about taking Tums. It's a mild antacid. There's also eating small meals - don't eat a whole lot at one time, try 7-up or Ginger-ale & soda crackers.
Not condoning the use of any substance during pregnancy but if my Dr. says it is ok I trust her. I have three healthy children. Sometimes the use of medications is safer then the stress that severe pain could put on the expecting mother. Bet you are a first timer. Blessings to all.
I do beleive that the symptoms I am having are from the amoxicilin, it is logical to me since everthing started within hours of me taking the first dose. Have any of you had upper and lower stomach pain along with cramping in stomach and gas when taking amoxicilin????? Those are really all that is going on due to the amox.
Here's some good info on possible causes for the gas and stomach problems. I've been having gas and PVC problems as well. [url=http://www.medicinenet.com/small_intestinal_bacterial_overgrowth/article.
During the beginning of my first pregnancy i was fine. Bout halfway in anytime i drank milk i would feel terrible, gassy in pain got the bubbles pretty much. After i had her i was fine :) then with this second baby(completly different dad and everything) im getting the same thing, early on though. I just a cup of milk nd boy oh boy do i regret it. Is this just something that develops with pregnancy? Cuz my daughters tummy cant handle regular formula.
No, I have no pain before, during or after the expelling of the gas. I cannot for the life of me figure out why the Doctors have no idea of what this is. Mine has nothing to do with sex. I can be sitting in bed and it happens. My husband just looks at me and wonders why no medical person knows what to do for it. I can pretty much handle that. It's when I am out in public and there is no warning thats when I have a very hard time. It actually makes me want to stay home and be a hermit.

Hello people, I have my period every 2 months, which means I only ovulate every other month as opposed to once a month like a normal cycle. However, in September I pulled out my ovulation monitor and it was surging so of course we took advance of the situation! Now, I started bleeding on October 1st. I didnt think anything of it, just thought it was a normal period but then I realized that I just had a period in September. Could this be a miscarriage?
If you haven't I would because there are certain things that would cause that that you need to find out right away. It happened to me wtih my first pregnancy and it ended up being a molar pregnancy. If you have had a sono though that would already be ruled out.
