Sneezing in middle of night

Common Questions and Answers about Sneezing in middle of night

sneeze

This has happened to me but i have no idea y !
Within the last few years, it has gotten worse to the point that even when I get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, I sneeze forever. Then I can't sleep well because I'm stuffed/runny. Also, if I decide to sleep longer than I had my alarm set for, and reset it, I'll start sneezing at the original wake up time and have to get up anyway.
Expecially when I wake up in the middle of the night to sneeze. 20 more weeks...lol.
After getting up from the bed ,I start to sneeze. It continues till the night. If i get up in the middle of the night again sneezing starts.we are staying in Honkong for last 3 years. we try to keep my house clean and dust free.Six months before we changed to this new house, having wooden floors,we really need help.tried many doctors. They just give allergy medicines.
I have noticed upon waking up in the morning or middle of the night that I have this feeling of dryness! I can't hardly breath the air is so dry. I have to go wet my hands and use lotion. My mom used to get this when I lived with my parents - when the furnace was on. I hope that makes sense (especially the hardly breath part - it is like when you are talking you skip some words or they come out about half...I have had that then I tell my husband when he looks at me weird - dry!! Lol.
I wake up in the middle of the night and start sneezing and it lasts for the whole next day. Just one sneezing sequence after another. I am miserable. I thought I might need to clean the machine more often also. Now I just don't know. I think I just have to wear the mask. When I wear the nasal pillow it seems to happen more. Did you find any solution to this problem?
I work in retail, and I casually told a woman I was helping that I experianced painful sneezing (she was in the middle of a sneezing fit when I was helping her). She told me she was a doctor, and that I should get my chest checked out right away, and that it could possibly be cardiac. The fact that I'm so young and have no history of heart issues worries me. So what are your thoughts? Could I have a heart issue, or do I have something as simple as a pinched nerve?
I thought I was the only one sneezing my head off! I would wake up in the middle of the night sneezing lol.
Me too! I am in the middle of one right now. It started this morning and now that I am sitting still in a dark room, I am not sneezing. I would say this happens to me one day a month and like everyone else who has posted it takes A LOT out of me. I also drank red wine last night and maybe that does have something to do with it. I always thought it was the "perfect storm" of conditions that caused it: high pollen day, weather change, etc all happening at once.
it started with sneezing n runny nose when i was a teenager now when i am 29 yrs old it has taken a worse shape. At the time of sleeping n mostly in the middle of the night i suddenly feel a bit cold n very heavy mucous runs down my right nostril. it is so heavy that i can't even sniff it in. it makes my whole mouth dry n when not cured it blocks my nose permanently n i can't smell. this makes my mouth extremely dry n sometimes i can't even breathe properly.
It will happen once in a while. I will call it as a sneezing day. I get sneezing and running nose from the moment i get up from the bed. It lasts till the night. I dont know what i am allergic to. Its not dust, because i am the cleaner in my house and i dont get sneezing when i deal with dust. Its not any season specific. I am kind of confused.. When i get this allergy, thats a spoiled day.. i sneeze continuously... and by the middle of the day i will be very tired..

(I lived in Japan from July 2006 to May 2008, and for some reason I had few allergic symptoms there). I am, like ever, waking up in the middle of the night unable to breathe because my nose gets congested. I blow my nose, but nothing gets drained. Allergy medicines have no effect. And I have already tried all the allergy shots and nasal sprays to no end. Please help me. I can't stand this any longer. I have been to Allergy Specialists. Nothing seems to help. Do I have sinusitis?
(A friend of mine at the party vaguely remembers me telling him late that night that I did NOT have sex with the lady, but he was really drunk himself and cannot be sure). We did partake in oral sex. Well anyway, I was pretty worried about this encounter when I got home. About two months later - in the second week of November - my head got really congested with a really bad runny nose and i was sneezing a lot for about 5 days.
Thank you for the suggestions though!
the past few weeks he has been waking up in the middle of the night SCREAMING for almost anhour then passing out. the dr said that that could have been the start of the ear infections. if he didnt start coughing and sneezing the other day i would have never brought him to the dr. i thought the screaming was gas the way he would throw his head back and scream. what are some signs that i should have noticed? he never pulled on his ears and never ran a fever.
My detox was also hellish. And honestly, you are in the middle of it on day 3, BUT - day 4 for me was a little bit better. Up until then I couldn't eat, but at the end of day 4 my appetite came back. Once I started eating I started feeling better. You have a ways to go; you've worked very hared up to this point, so hang in there. On day 3 I was counting the minutes, and that worked for me. Just think - you posted this about 3 hours ago - 3 hours is a long time.
That's how I know I'm pregnant! !! I sneezed like crazy all three pregnancies! !
Just get a big bowl and put some warm water in it and some vinigar and a little bit of salt and put you face down in it and blow air out of you nose and suck some in. It will brake up any build up you may have in you sinus. Also gargle warm salt water to help heal the rawness in your throat. It sould get better.
Help me know what ailment It's like having a cold (with no cough or no headaches) that doesn't go away. I've sneezing a lot especially during the night and sometimes in the middle of the day. I have some watery mucus from my nose that accompanies or follows sneezing. Also, I do have a small pea-sized lump in my armpit. It started out as big swollen and painful bump five months ago, it eventually healed due to some antibiotics from my doctor but still a pea sized lump remained.
Thanks to both of you!!! I don't even remember getting high off those Oxys other than the first week. But starting about halfway into my addiction (the 6 month mark) I knew u needed to get off if them and told myself I'd go slower. The next 6 months were out of control. Until 11 days ago I was opening up 25 of the 10mg oxynorms a day and poisoning my nose, my mind, my body and my soul. Craziest thing about my addiction was that absolutely noone around me knew about it!
With as many comments as I've read, I've come to the conclusion that though an indent in your skull doesn't seem normal, its common. My brother has an extremely noticeable indentation on the top of the crown of his head if you run your fingers across it. Our reasoning is that when he was younger (age 4 or 5) he slept on the floor between my sister's & my twin beds and in the middle of the night his head got wedged under a bed frame and the floor.
It started about 2 weeks ago when he woke up in the middle of the night and vomited in his sleep only to wake up not feeling well. The next day he was fine so I figured it had to be something he ate so I threw away a lot of the foods he ate that day passing his illness of as a reaction to something he ate. However his vomiting started again the other night. Same time of night as the last time. The next day he felt fine. And then Again last night.
Is the pain constant, day in and day out, or does it show up now and again, like a bad penny? I'm currently in the middle of having my own "Mystery upper-right abdominal pain" examined/diagnosed, between the stage of getting an ultrasound and the stage of finding out the results of said ultrasound.

The end of August this year, I was sitting in my chair at my desk, and this sudden extreme pain hit me in the back of my head. I ended up going to the walk-in clinic that night only to be told that I had a pulled muscle. The doc sent me home with Skelaxin, which ended me up in the hospital for 3 days. My symptons include pressure in the back of my head, some tingling in my nose, lips, and forehead...also I have numbness in my left arm, pain in my neck/shoulders/upper back area...
I wake up at 12midnight and 3am to make milk for my 2yr old toddler boy who is always hungry even in the middle of the night. d other night, i packed a Large Balik bayan box till 2am. Just today, 1pm, I feel so much pain at the back of my head for 5 hours now and also on the top of my head and my forehead, sometimes my nape too. I think I will die... I checked google, maybe it is occipital headache. Is it serious? I hope I can get your reply asap. Thanks a lot and God bless.
I am sure you ahve it but plain saline nasal spray is great, not a baby fan but works great. Now if she waks in the middle of the night after going to bed good, and runs a fever over 100.3 for more then a day ir caould be an ear infection, but they do not treat those with antibiotics usually anymroe and if she ever got one I suggest getting the antibiotic ear drops. They go to the area and work faster, less time on them and no threat of a yeast infection like from an oral antibiotic.
Thank for the info. I am 29 so, you aren't far off. In the summer of '07 I was in a car accident. In the accident my right arm was hit by the inside of my door pushing my elbow into the right side of my ribs. Just a little soreness in the area for a couple days and no visible bruising. Afew months later in November I began to experience panic attacks for about a month straight. They just started out of the blue and it was just for that month and I haven't had one since then.
